Vladimir Ushakov Takes Part in TV Series - Russiaby Christine Johnstone |
Accordionist Vladimir Ushakov recently received an offer to take part in the filming of an episode in the television series “Bayopik”, filmed by the First Channel of Russian Television film company. The proposal included creating music for an episode where the main characters meet, and shooting the performance of a musical ensemble on the stage of a Berlin restaurant in the 1930’s. The music had to meet the standards of that era. In a short time, several compositions were composed and arranged for the ensemble. After rehearsals the filming of this episode took place in a huge pavilion (with specially built scenery) in St. Petersburg on October 24th. Members of the musical group pictured above are Shafayat Gadzhiev (accordion), Vladimir Ushakov (accordion), Lina Kolesnik (violin), Vladimir Bogomolov (guitar) and Dmitry Golovchenko (double bass). |
