 Die 20. Jubiläums-Akkordeon Gala Las Vegas Internationaler Akkordeon-Kongress fand vom 14. bis 17. Oktober 2019 statt. Eine rauschende 20jahre Feier mit großen Künstlern und vielen Erinnerungen, die mit dieser Veranstaltung verbunden sind. Tägliche Berichte, Bilder und Videos unter: 2019LasVegasIn diesem Jahr traten die Akkordeonisten (in alphabetischer Reihenfolge) auf: Gina Brannelli (oben rechts), Elena Fainshtein, Liz Finch, Gordon Kohl, Ginny Mac, Grayson Masefield, Paul Pasquali (oben rechts), Cory Pesaturo, Tatijana Semichastnaya, Joan Sommers, Antonio Spaccarotella (rechts unten), Mary Tokarski, Steve und Michael Trucco, Stas Venglevski und Mike Zampiceni. Der Veranstalter Paul Pasquali brachte alle Akkordeons, Musiknoten und Materialien für seinen Kongressladen sowie Ton und Licht aus Salt Lake City. Dieses Jahr stellte Paul stolz das neue Modell "Concerto 2019" vor. Bei dieser wundervollen Veranstaltung dirigierte Prof. Joan Sommers das Las Vegas International Akkordeon Orchester (Video in Daily Reports 17th). Die nächste Veranstaltung findet von Montag, den 26. | Die Gewinner der Sektionen "Bayan" und "Akkordeon" des Internationalen Wettbewerbs der Interpreten für russische Volksinstrumente "EURASIA III", der vom 24. bis 30. Oktober in Jekaterinburg stattfindet, sind: "Akkordeon" 1. Danil Sharavyev 2. Arslan Aliyev 3. Nikita Syrchin "Bayan" 1. Olzhas Nurlanov 2. Vladimir Stupnikov 3. Arthur Adrshin Die Gründer des Wettbewerbs sind das Kulturministerium der Russischen Föderation, das Kulturministerium der Region Swerdlowsk und das nach M.P. Mussorgski, Musikhochschule Ural, Musikhochschule Swerdlowsk (Hochschule) benannt nach P.I. Tschaikowski, mit Unterstützung der Mikhail Ulyashkin Charitable Foundation. Die Veranstaltung zielt darauf hin, die Kreativität junger Interpreten auf Volksinstrumenten zu fördern, ihre beruflichen Fähigkeiten zu verbessern, die Kultur darzustellen, neue talentierte Musiker zu identifizieren und die Musik für Volksinstrumente bekannt zu machen.   Video 1: Das Duo Marcotello spielt Ernest Blochs Komposition Prayer, Marko Kassl (Akkordeon) und Othello Liesmann (Cello).Video 2: Toshio Hosokawa Komposition: Bird Fragments III gespielt von Marko Kassl (Akkordeon) und Gudula Rosa (Blockflöte). Marko Kassl (Bild links) wird am 2. und 3. November in der Bergerkirche Düsseldorf im Rahmen des Festivals "New Counterpoints" des Düsseldorfer Musikvereins Musik 21 fünf Uraufführungen neuer Kompositionen für Solokomponenten mit dem Ensemble aufführen. In Begleitung des ART Ensembles NRW (Bild oben rechts) unter der Leitung seines Leiters Miro Dobrowolny wird er folgende Kompositionen uraufführen: Johannes K. | Der Akkordeonist Vladimir Ushakov erhielt kürzlich ein Angebot, an den Dreharbeiten zu einer Episode der Fernsehserie "Bayopik" teilzunehmen, die vom Ersten Kanal der russischen Fernsehfilmgesellschaft gedreht wurde. Der Vorschlag beinhaltete das Erstellen von Musik für eine Episode, in der sich die Hauptfiguren treffen, und das Aufführen eines Musikensembles auf der Bühne eines Berliner Restaurants in den 1930er Jahren. Die Musik musste den Standards dieser Ära entsprechen. In kurzer Zeit wurden mehrere Kompositionen für das Ensemble komponiert und arrangiert. Nach den Proben wurde diese Folge am 24. Oktober in einem riesigen Pavillon (mit eigens dafür gebauten Kulissen) in St. Petersburg gedreht. Mitglieder der oben abgebildeten Musikgruppe sind Shafayat Gadzhiev (Akkordeon), Vladimir Ushakov (Akkordeon), Lina Kolesnik (Violine), Vladimir Bogomolov (Gitarre) und Dmitry Golovchenko (Kontrabass). |

| The National Accordion Organisation of the United Kingdom (NAO) will hold their 2020 Annual Championships and Festival at the Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool from April 25th to 27th, 2020. Area Festivals will be held from November 6th, 2019 in North Central until March 8th, 2020 in North West where competitors may qualify to compete in the 2020 Championships.  One of New Zealand’s most popular tourist attractions in Rotorua channelled Northern Hemisphere spirit with an Oktoberfest themed afternoon, featuring entertainment from international accordionist Lionel Reekie (picture left).The “Hidden Forest “ Restaurant was decorated to capture the atmosphere of the Bavarian Alps, with this very unique venue situated amongst towering Redwood trees halfway down a scenic luge track. Part of the Skyline Skyrides complex overlooking Lake Rotorua, the luge track was a world first when it opened in 1986. Offering an open plan kitchen, chefs could be seen creating their amazing dishes of traditional European fare, including various sausages, sauerkraut, and meat dishes in front of guests. Rustic shared platters were served to tables for guests to share along with fine New Zealand craft beer, and of course a fine selection of sweet treats was on offer to finish off the meal. Lionel’s entertainment featured the obligatory Oktoberfest waltzes, polkas, folk music and even the famous “Birdie Dance”, but he was also able to mix up some of the other genres, taking requests whilst strolling amongst diners, including singing a few well known German and Italian favourites. Rotorua is around 3 hours drive south of Auckland (where Lionel is based). |

| The VI International Student Competition of Performers on folk instruments of CIS Universities was held from October 19th to 25th in Moscow at the Russian Academy of Music named after Gnesin. The competition was for accordion, folk vocals, domra and balalaika. The event began with an opening concert at the RAM Great Hall Gnesin. Accordion competitions were held on October 21st and 22nd with 2 rounds. The event finished with a grand results ceremony as follows: 1st Prize: Lun Jinhan Nurlanov Olzhas 2nd Prize: Volchkov Mikhail Ugorcin Denis 3rd Prize: Mykitenko Alexey Ermolaev Egor Aliev Arslan |

 The Kosmos Ensemble which includes accordionist Milos Milivojevic (picture left) will perform at the Balliol Musical Society concert held at the Balliol Hall, Balliol College (picture above) in Oxford on November 3rd at 8.30pm. On November 16th, the ensemble will perform for the Weston Music Society, Holy Trinity Church, Weston in Hertfordshire at 7.30pm. Michael describes his repertoire as ‘concert music’ – encompassing baroque, classical, and contemporary works, along with a vast array of his own concert arrangements of folk and jazz music. | For over ten years, the Akkordeon-Orchester Wesseling has been giving an afternoon concert for residents, employees and guests of the CBT Ein Unternehmen der Caritas Homes St. Lucia. This year’s concert will be held on November 10th. Conducted by Anita Brandtstäter, the orchestra will play a diverse program of pieces from classical to rock/pop/jazz - from Bach to Bernstein, from Mozart to Mancini. |

 The 12 Annual Accordion Noir Fest will be held at the Wise Hall mainstage (1882 Adanac at Victoria) in East Vancouver on November 15th and 16th.November 15th performers include “Wolfbrood” with Daniel Citynski on accordion and vocals, Zydeco dance band “Nuvo Zydeco” with Dan Kahila on accordion and backing vocals (picture left), Duo Vilda (Finland) and Sudanda. On November 16th, performances will be given by the Squeezebox Circle Orchestra and Accordion Noir theme song composer Andy Fielding at Spartacus Books (3378 Findlay Street) as well as a reading by squeezebox historian Bruce Triggs from his new history book "Accordion Revolution", a screening of assorted Saturday Morning Accordi-toons, accordion open mic spots for anyone who wants to play, and an accordion parade (weather permitting) around Trout Lake.  The Royal Academy of Music accordion department will hold their first chamber music concert of the new academic year on November 21st at 1pm.The concert will feature an afternoon performance of the accordion department’s students, including the new intake of students performing works within several instrumental configurations.   Duo Artina which includes Martina Jembrišak (accordion) and Andrea Jelavic (flute) announce an opportunity for composers of any age to have their works premiered in June 2020 in Gustav Adolf Church in Berlin, Germany. The winning compositions will be also recorded on CD. The objective of the contest is to promote the creation of pieces for accordion in chamber music. Guidelines for submissions: 1. The competition is open to composers of any age and nationality. 2. Composers may submit multiple works. The works must be written for flute/piccolo and accordion. 3. The submitted works should not have been premiered in any public performance or through any digital or mechanical means. Works that have been previously premiered will not be admitted. 4. Works of any aesthetic and stylistic direction, not longer than 6 minutes may be submitted. 5. Scores must be submitted in PDF format, together with the bio of the composer. 6. Performers will have the right to record, produce and distribute the performance of works which are going to be chosen. 7. Composers will receive a CD recording and will be invited to premiere in Berlin. The deadline for entries is December 31st, 2019.
