Salute to Ayr Branch

Once again Roy Hendrie and his Scottish dance Band bring joy and festive mood to us.

"Valley Gold" is taken from the first tune on the album, which was composed by friend and band member Bobby Stewart of Galston. In trying to keep the Ayshire feel, some locally devised Scottish Country Dances are included as well as a selection of the most popular dances played by the band at the Gartferry Hotel monthly ceilidhs"

In general, this recording is truly enjoyable and spirit lifting. Its simplicity and "peopleness" make it very appealing to the wide audience. If you like Scottish Dance music with the accordion as a leading instrument, then this recording is the way to go!
