Powerful and rich ! This is the ultimate musico-psychological study, but one that thrills and moves. These are my first impressions of this recording.

As composer - Renzo - said himself, "Guided Improvisation is like a composer's sketches". Personally, I feel that the style of Renzo's music is a sort of contemporary jazz improvisation based on elements of tango, blues etc.

I would like to make a remark on two aspects of Renzo's music and performance which made a very strong impression on me: its spirituality and its "musical - photography" if I may use this term. Renzo's improvisations are highly intellectual and spiritual. After the first couple of moments of listening to his music you find yourself being totally consumed into his musical world. It touches your imagination and it touches your spirit.

At the same time his music creates these vivid abstract images (which I call "musical-photographs"), play of light and shadow, play with the sound, play with feelings, moods. You can clearly hear his music breath - all together making his improvisations high powered!

Original and provocative. Not too many recordings offer that these days!
