As one of Iceland's finest accordionists, Karl Jonatanssen is already known to us with his CD "Lilly" (see the review of April 24th 1998) and this time he presents himself with a CD titled "Neistaflug". This recording contains tunes for "Saturday night dance at the club": polkas, waltzes, tangos, etc. In Brief, it has a great variety and the choice of dance music is excellent. What I especially like is his performing style. As well as being very pleasant and relaxing, his choice of tempo throughout the Recording is superb; not too fast or slow, just right for dancing! This recording is surely worthwhile purchasing as a dance music favourite! |
