It started in the year 1984: Gunther Zeilinger, entrusted with arranging an accordion class at the music school of the "Hofer Symphoniker", forms an accordion orchestra from his class.

Today the orchestra regularly gives concerts in Hof and the nearby towns and regions, as well as internationally: France, Japan, USA, Australia, Spain & Finland.

For its activities the ensemble was awarded the "Jugendpreis der Stadt Hof" in 1993 and is considered one of the best ensembles in Bavaria.

Apart of the fact that they are very professional, the Hof Orchestra sounds very "up to date" and that is the main impression I had after listening to their recording. They are a very bright, modern sounding orchestra which has all the elements to satisfy modern demands (sound and repertoire wise).

They are well balanced, and at the same time they perform with a lot of charm and taste. Their repertoire is very broad and covers many styles from classical to modern tunes.

Hof Orchestra is very entertaining and real fun to listen to!
