CD cover This recording came to me from Sweden, with the following letter: "My name is Anita Agnas and I teach accordion at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden. I also have a small record company, and that is why I send you the latest record of our company. It is a tango CD, with one of my former students Mikael Augustsson (bandoneon) together with Juan Cuacci on piano and Lila Horovitz (bass)". It was nice receiving a recording from Sweden as it is not often at all that I get recordings from that country. Unfortunately, there was no information supplied about the artists.

This is a tango recording. I found quite refreshing the fact that it included variety of composers and presented some new pieces in the 'tango' style. This is quite a colorful recording in many aspects. It "won me over" with the special spirit it has. The performers are doing a professional job, creating through their music and performance quite an impressive and touching spiritual experience for the listener. I was overwhelmed at times! At other times it sounded to me as a trio "jam session" at its best. The combination of bandoneon, piano and bass is a total winner: these three instruments compliment each other perfectly. Although some aspects of this recording may be not brought to total perfection, it has great feeling and spirit to it and, to me that is what music is all about. ****
