Mario Massineo I was very pleasantly impressed at the high performing standard Mario Massineo (accordion entertainer from Perth, Western Australia) shows on his recording. Mario presents himself not only as a good performer but also as a talented composer, as all the tunes on this CD are composed by him. It was quite refreshing to hear something other than accordion standards such as "La Cumparsita", "Domino" etc., on this recording. Mario covers quite a wide range of styles, from tango to musette, jazz & blues - a very enjoyable variety.

His tunes have a special feel to them. They are not only pleasant to the ear but they also create an atmosphere, they are warm and have a lot of feeling. Mario's playing style is very pleasing: mellow, and just - nice!

This CD doesn't require a lot of thought - just sit back and enjoy. It might be easy listening accordion music but it is definitely not elevator music. It is very stylish and with good musical taste. *****
