Here is one unusual recording as there are no details of the artist, where it was recorded and all the other relevant information which is normally supplied when releasing a recording, but I couldn't not write something about it. The CD was produced by Mighty Records in Australia, and is a part of the "instrumental time" series. I believe the artist is somebody from the older generation of the Australian accordion entertainers, but I can't be sure. (the record company have also attempted to find out further details without success).

Not having this common recording information made me a bit "wary" but after hearing it I decided I have to write something about this recording as it is great entertainment. The CD includes a most entertaining selection of very popular tunes, such as C'est Si Bon, China Doll, Moon River, Quando Quando, Volare, Wish me Luck, etc. It is played in a very mellow manner, I would even say in "good old fashioned style" accordion entertainment, very pleasant to the ear. Arrangements are also very successful with drums, piano and another accordion backing.

Very, very enjoyable accordion entertainment!

Editors note:
We have now been advised that the performer on the CD is Celtic accordion entertainer John MacDonald. If you would like further information on this CD please email: scotlandthebrave.m@scotland.com
