The "K" Trio, began performing together in 1996, after a hiatus of over 25 years. Each of the members is an accordion champion in his/her own right. Mary and Julie represented the USA in the Coupe Mondial several times while Walter captured the Connecticut State Championship Title in 1966, 67 and 68 and went on to be a contender for the US championship many times thereafter. As a duet, Mary and Julie held the American Accordionists' Association Duet Championship in the US for over 12 years without being defeated. As a soloists, as a duet team, and as trio , they have performed both classical and contemporary music in concerts and performances all over the US and Europe.

This trio comes as a real refreshment. Consisting of two accordions and a bass accordion, this ensemble performs light style music: light classical as well as popular style. Technically competent, tonally clear and crisp, their performance is spirited, emotional and involving. As an ensemble, they achieved great balance and togetherness which is a clear sign of high professional ability.

Their repertoire is very various and entertaining. My favorite track would be "Casey Jones" where the train effect is absolutely superb, and I cannot fault it from beginning to end.

The only tune I wasn't too impressed with would be the first one: "Galliope". In contrast with the rest of the recording from the second track onwards, that first tune sounds a bit amateurish as a tune.

Splendid, professional ensemble and a very entertaining recording!
