 Сю Сяонань (Китай) стал победителем 65 международного конкурса «Кубок мира», вторым стал Виталий Кондратенко (Россия), третьим – Александр Веретенников (Россия).На рисунке выше: слева направо Сю Сяонань, президент CIA Рэймонд Бодель (Raymond Bodell), мэр города Сполето Даниэле Бенедетти (Daniele Benedetti), Мирко Патарини (Mirco Patarini) – артистический директор «Кубка мира 2012». Сю Сяонань (фото внизу слева), заняв в 2011 году второе место, был тогда очень близок к победе, поскольку вошедших в первую пятерку конкурсантов разделяли 0,55 балла, что, без сомнения, делает его победу в 2012 году еще более приятной. Впервые в истории конкурса основную категорию “Coupe Mondiale” выиграл представитель Китая. Ранее китайские участники уже выигрывали большинство других категорий «Кубка мира», и победа в основной категории стала одним из основных триумфов Китая. Под руководством Китайской Аккордеонной Ассоциации и ее руководителя профессора Ли Цуна (Li Cong) – фото в середине слева – Китай в последние годы укрепил свои позиции в верхнем эшелоне международных аккордеонных конкурсов, и кульминацией этого процесса стал последней успех. В этом году представители Китая, России и Сербии выиграли по 2 категории, и 1 категорию выиграл представитель Италии. Общее количество лауреатов по странам: Россия – 8, Китай – 4, Сербия – 3, Франция – 2, Италия – 2, Португалия – 1 и Молдавия – 1.  «Анна Каренина» – новый фильм 2012 года по мотивам одноименного романа Льва Толстого 1877 года. Фильм вышел в 2012 году, режиссер Джо Райт (Joe Wright). Фильм снимался в Англии и России, в картине задействованы Кира Найтли, Джуд Лоу, Эмили Уотсон и Аарон Тейлор-Джонсон.В романе описывается жизнь высшего общества России конца 19 века и раскрывается драма аристократки Анны Карениной, вышедшей замуж без любви и решившейся пойти против устоев общества ради любви к графу Вронскому. В фильме можно увидеть Милоша Милиоевича ( Milos Miliojevic), играющего на баяне. Инструмент, использовавшийся для съемок, является старинным баяном российского производства примерно 1890 года и принадлежит шотландской коллекционерше Кэролайн Хант (Caroline Hunt). Кэролайн, давшая аккордеон в аренду киностудии Shepperton Studios, говорит: «После долгих реставрационных работ, благодаря Джону Кроуфорду (John Crawford) и местному столяру, который заменил резную решетку и отполировал множество металлических деталей, инструмент в настоящее время выглядит хорошо». Кэролайн Хант владеет большой коллекцией старых баянов и аккордеонов, часть из которых выставлена на всеобщее обозрение в Bogbain Farm, Inverness IV2 5BD, Шотландия. Многие из них можно также увидеть в книге Роба Ховарда “Vintage Accordions” («Старинные аккордеоны»). «Анна Каренина» выйдет на экраны Великобритании и Ирландии 7 сентября 2012 года, США – 16 ноября, России – 3 января 2013 года, и в разное время в других странах. |

 Награда "Paolo Soprani" в 2012 году была присуждена директору ресурса Accordions Worldwide Харли Джонсу (Новая Зеландия) в знак признания его заслуг в содействии по распространению баянного и аккордеонного искусства посредством Интернета.Вручение премии состоялось на сцене в рамках фестивальной программы «Кубка мира 2012». Премию вручали мэр Кастельфидардо Мирко Сопрани (Mirco Soprani) и президент Международного Музея Аккордеона Кастельфидардо Винченцо Канали (Vincenzo Canali). На сцене в этот момент также присутствовали президент CIA Рэймонд Бодель (Raymond Bodell) и художественный руководитель «Кубка мира 2012» Мирко Патарини (Mirco Patarini). Фото выше. Харли Джонс был очень счастлив получить статуэтку, дизайн которой был разработан знаменитым итальянским скульптором Франко Кампанари (Franco Campanari) и является настоящим произведением искусства в бронзе.  Lynda Griffith, Doctor of Physical Therapy, is a specialist in the biomechanics of orthopedic injury to musicians, dancers and athletes, player of accordion, concertina and bandoneon, and a certified instrument repair technician.She has written and illustrated a new book, ‘Playing Well’, which is a detailed reference for players and teachers of accordion, concertina and bandoneon with regard to injury, injury prevention and performance. The book is likely to be of interest to physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, massage therapists, chiropractors and other practitioners who treat injured musicians and would have an academic or professional interest in knowing about players of accordion, concertina and bandoneon. Lynda Griffith has 30 years experience in private practice as a physical therapist specializing in manual treatment and biomechanic analysis of orthopedic injuries to musicians, dancers and athletes. She currently has a private practice in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. In addition she studied music with accordion as her primary instrument at University of Wisconsin-Superior. She is also a graduate of Accordion-Concertina Repair Technicians' School in Superior WI. Lynda launched the book at the ATG Festival last week.   Accordionist David Vernon and clarinet player Dick Lee have played in ‘Italia 'n' Caledonia’ (Mike Maran Productions) during August at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.The theatrical show received a great review in the ‘Three Weeks in Edinburgh’ newspaper. ‘Italia 'n' Caledonia’ has toured Scotland with great success, and the accordion is a significant part in the story. The review says: “Funny, fresh, fascinating and personal history from the heart of Edinburgh culture – an hour of storytelling that would work for a lot of the local history clubs of Edinburgh enthusiasts. The story of Italians in Edinburgh (and all over Scotland); they came here with a suitcase in hand, ideas in their head, memories of home in their hearts – and recipes that would make the local community a warmer place. Ice cream, Fish ‘n’ Chips, the smell of wild garlic. Scots and Italians in the Great War shoulder to shoulder, in 1940 Italy declares war on Great Britain. Skilled storytelling, singing, and a delightful accordion player guide the audience through this fascinating story in a place that truly smells of history”. |

 Portuguese accordionist João Frade has released a new CD, on which he is accompanied by guitarist and bass player Munir Hossn. The CD title is ‘Piriquitos e Botonetes’, and the music has many colors from Portuguese, Brazilian and African roots along with Jazz and World Music influences. It is mainly an instrumental CD but there are some vocal elements on several songs and the track features the Cape-Verdian star Mayra Andrade. The CD is now available on the internet at CD Baby.   In 1998 Accordions Worldwide expanded its readership considerably by introducing the Weekly News in Chinese language. The Accordions Worldwide news for September 4th 1998 included a report about this momentous development written by Li Cong, who is today, the President of the China Accordion Association. This was also the start of the Chinese language news site at www.accordions.com/china Over the last 14 years, this has now grown into an enormous website covering the huge variety of accordion activities in China. It has been estimated that in China, there are 30 million active accordionists, certainly a significant percentage of the worlds accordionists, and many of whom, read this Weekly News in Chinese and also read the Chinese accordion news site. CHINESE ACCORDIONISTS PROPOSE TOAST Contributed by Li Cong Chinese accordionists can now read the Weekly Accordion News in the Chinese language. Li Cong said recently, "Let's propose a toast for the start of Accordions Worldwide in China! To build a new site is not the hardest part of the job. The really difficult part is to make it better and better, now more Chinese accordionists can read the news. The great significance of this happening has already exceeded more than any one accordionist could normally hope to do. I am proud of this achievement and extend gratefully the thanks of all Chinese accordionists. We have a saying in China: A good start is a one half of success. Let's work hard for the other part!" |

 The ‘Carrefour Mondial de l’accordéon’, August 30th to September 3rd, held in Montmagny, Québec, involves five intense days of accordion festivities. Each year accordion artists from around the world come together in Montmagny to share their passion for the accordion, in all its many forms. The ‘Carrefour mondial de l’accordéon’ has been presenting different accordion styles, genres and repertoires since it began in 1989. The festival includes indoor and outdoor concerts, and the venues include the Carrefour Accordion Museum. More information about is on the festival website.  On September 2nd accordionist Marco Lo Russo performs with violinist Carlo Recchia at the 13th European Day of Jewish Culture in Venice. Music is likely to include ‘La vita è bella, by Nicola Piovani, and ‘Schindler's List’, by John Williams. The following Sunday September 9th, Marco Lo Russo will be a guest at the 4th accordion festival to be held in Trentino.
