  La Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) se formó en 1935 y 85 años después, en 2020, tiene 43 miembros, muchos de los cuales son organizaciones nacionales de acordeón.Por primera vez en la historia, debido a las restricciones de viaje de Covid-19, la CIA está celebrando un Congreso utilizando Internet el sábado por la noche, hora de Europa central. El Congreso dirigido por el presidente Mirco Patarini y el secretario general Kimmo Mattila discutirá los emocionantes conciertos y otros planes para la Coupe Mondiale 2021 en Múnich, del 13 al 17 de octubre de 2021. El organizador anfitrión Deutscher Harmonika-Verband e. V., (DHV), el delegado Georg Hettmann (foto a la derecha), informará sobre sus planes al Congreso. Las reglas de la Coupe Mondiale 2021, los detalles de viaje y alojamiento se publicarán antes de Navidad. También se discutirán en el Congreso los planes para otro innovador Día Mundial del Acordeón (6 de mayo) con varios eventos en todo el mundo, además de un importante programa internacional en línea planeado por miembros de la CIA en varios países. | Video: Aidar Salakhov interpretando Winter, 1st Movement, de Four Seasons de Vivaldi "Libertango" se presentará en el concierto del Día Internacional del Tango el 4 de diciembre de 2020. El concierto jubilar de este año se llevará a cabo en la Sala de Conciertos Kino en Yaroslavl, Rusia. "Libertango" incluye a Aidar Salakhov (acordeón), Angelica Markova (voz), Artyoom Fedotov (batería), Rinat Safargaliev (bajo), Ilya Ershov (violín) y Oleg Anokhin (teclados, arreglos y director del grupo). Su programa incluirá música de Astor Piazzolla, el estreno de nuevas obras, un nuevo arreglo de la conocida composición Libertango con el solista Aidar Salahov y bailarines. Aidar Salakhov es un ex alumno de la Academia Rusa de Música Gnesins en Moscú y estudió con el Prof. Friedrich Lips.  Kevin Friedrich, acordeonista nacido en Dargaville y radicado en Nueva York, atrajo a una audiencia a capacidad en el Lighthouse Function Center en el Museo Dargaville por segunda vez en cuatro meses, esta vez presentando un concierto 'The Sounds of the Season' con una variedad de música festiva.Informe completo e imágenes: 2020DargavilleSounds Todas las ganancias del concierto se donan con orgullo al Museo Dargaville.  Karen Tweed is running online workshops every fortnight, which she began on November 13th, 2020. The workshops cover lyricism, bellows and techniques to make tunes sing. Karen explores ideas using the tunes: 'O Sole Mio' and Gilles Chabenat's 'Baudimic'. Participants will receive additional notes after the workshop. | French accordionist and composer, Yvette Horner (1922 to 2018) performs live "Les Triolets" accompanied by the Raymond Lefevre Orchestra on French Television in 1956. She was known for performing with the Tour de France during the 1950s and 1960s.   Organisers of the 2021 Northern Ireland Open Accordion Championships regret to announce that the event, which was due to be held in February 2021 has been cancelled due to uncertainties arising from the Covid-19 pandemic.For 2022, the venue, Loughshore Hotel Carrickfergus, has been provisionally booked for 26th February, 2022. Clyde Johnston (picture right) thanks you all for your support and understanding and hopefully the event will be back bigger and stronger in 2022. |

The first is the Certificate course “Styrian Harmonica” with Alexander Maurer (picture left) which is due to begin on November 28th.The second is an online course “Arranging and Music Editing” with Hans-Günther Kölz which starts on December 7th.  The Milwaukee Accordion Club regret to announce that due to the still increasing spread of the COVID-19 virus in Wisconsin, the Board has voted to terminate all indoor meetings until the epidemic subsides, or until members get vaccinated against this virus.They have made this decision with regard to the safety of all members and hope to be able to resume as soon as possible in the New Year. |

Skerryvore (which includes brothers Daniel on accordion and Martin Gillespie on pipes, whistles and accordion) will appear on the weekly online show Friday Night Lockdown Live with Alec on November 27th at 7pm (November 28th 9am UTC+13).
