| Vídeo: 2021 "Berlín celebra a Piazzolla", festival dedicado a Astor Piazzolla. La asociación Pantonale e.V. www.pantonale.com se ha hecho un nombre en los círculos del acordeón y a través de sus festivales organizados anualmente, que han atraído mucha atención a nivel internacional. Tras el festival "Berlín celebra a Piazzolla", Pantonale ha decidido este año organizar un "Festival de la Paz" en la Filarmónica de Berlín y en la Puerta de Brandenburgo. A este festival acudirán artistas de Ucrania y Rusia, y se esperan músicos de Italia, Colombia, Austria y Alemania. Los prestigiosos acordeonistas Yuri Shishkin, Eduard Akhanov, Volodymyr Kashuta y el guitarrista Vitaliy Shal actuarán en el concierto inaugural en la iglesia Trinitatis de Berlín Charlottenburg. El "Kollektiv Duo" Raphael Brunner, (acordeón) y Juan Carlos Díaz, (flauta - Austria y Colombia) están inspirando actualmente la escena de la música mundial e interpretarán sus propias composiciones. El "Quinteto Respiro" de Francia, ganador del Concurso de Música Piazzolla 2021, presentará su nuevo programa "Cuadros en una exposición" (Modest Mussorgsky, arr. Gustavo Beytelmann). Durante toda la semana, los conciertos del Festival de la Paz se escucharán en el Parque Steglitz, en las iglesias y en las escuelas. Los programas de los conciertos también incluirán obras del compositor ucraniano Viktor Vlasov, Georg Gershwin y Alexander Tsfasman, un quinteto de cuerda y un trío de jazz proporcionarán el marco musical de los conciertos. | El 27º Festival Internacional de Acordeón Hoogezand-Sappemeer se celebrará en el Teatro Kielzog de Hoogezand, Países Bajos, el 9 de octubre de 2022 a las 13:00 horas, presentado por Adri Kruijer. El evento está dedicado a la música de Ámsterdam de una época pasada con éxitos de Tante Leen, Johnny Jordaan, Willy Alberti, Johnny Meijer y muchos otros. Entre los intérpretes se encuentran el dúo Rembrandt con Eddy Hoorenman y Huub Eikenboom, Piet Schmidt y Gert Wantenaar, que estarán acompañados por Klaas Kreuijer (batería) y Joris Bijleveld (contrabajo).  Neil Thornock, de Provo, Utah, (foto de la derecha) ganó este año el Concurso de Composición Elsie Bennett de la Asociación Americana de Acordeonistas (AAA) con su encantador e inquietante solo de acordeón, Moon-k'ssed Conifers.Neil Thornock ha compuesto para una variedad de fuerzas, incluyendo trabajos orquestales, electrónicos, de cámara y en solitario. Gran parte de su música está escrita para su propia técnica idiosincrática de teclado en órgano, piano, carillón, acordeón y otros instrumentos. En 2019 estrenó su obra de tres horas Planetarium para órgano y electrónica. Actualmente, Thornock es profesor de composición y teoría en la Universidad Brigham Young de Provo, Utah. Él y su esposa Tammy son padres de siete hijos. Neil Thornock escribe: "Compuse Moon-kiss'd Conifers para mostrar la impresionante y muy reverberante acústica del atrio central del Harris Fine Arts Center de la Brigham Young University, un edificio que será demolido a principios de 2023. Las armonías que cambian lentamente y las melodías flexibles dan espacio para que la resonancia brille. El resultado es nocturno y quizás un poco litúrgico". El festival es uno de los mayores eventos del año que se celebra en Begunje na Gorenjskem, Eslovenia, y contará con tres veladas musicales y más de 20 bandas de entretenimiento locales y extranjeras. | The XXIV Kokkola Winter Accordion Festival was held in Kokkola and Pietarsaari, Finland from May 17th to 28th, 2022. The events included a variety of music concerts for all ages from children through to seniors. Guardia Nueva conducted by Raimo Vertainen gave a jubilee concert entitled “Multifaceted Diamond – Guardia Nueva 20 years” which featured soloists Jarkko Ahola, Arja Koriseva, Teemu Roivainen and Jepa Lambert performing pieces specially arranged for the orchestra but in its classic style.  The 31st Annual Cotati Accordion Festival gets underway this weekend, August 20th and 21st, 2022 in La Plaza Park, Downtown Cotati, California, USA.Music at the festival will range from Conjunto, folk, jazz, Irish, Venezuelan, rock, classical, zydeco, western & more. The event will include a Jam Tent, a Zydeco Dance Party, a Student Stage, the Ray's Deli Stage, and two main stages, along with over 60 vendors including crafts, accordions, food, wine and beer. | Video: Information on the 37th Froger-Ferron Prize Festival. The 37th Froger-Ferron Prize Festival will be held in Parcé, Fougères, Brittany, France on September 10th and 11th, 2022, organised by the AFAP (Association de Formation et d'Animation Populaire). The aim of the event is to promote and bring to life the music, tales, songs and traditional dances of Brittany and will feature a variety of traditional music, competitions, meetings, dancing, and an accordion exhibition. Every year several hundred diatonic accordionists come together to compete in a solo or duo competition or simply take part in this great gathering of traditional music and dance.  La Christchurch Symphony Orchestra (CSO) invitó a Grayson Masefield a unirse a ellos en un interesante proyecto a principios de este año para una actuación el sábado 30 de julio. Azul, de Golijov, fue encargada originalmente para Yo-Yo Ma y el "hiperacordeón", y debía ser interpretada por la Orquesta Sinfónica de Christchurch, en uno de los 10 ayuntamientos mejor diseñados acústicamente del mundo: el nuevo Christchurch Town Hall, Nueva Zelanda.Al chelista londinense Matthew Barley y al acordeonista de Auckland Grayson Masefield se les unieron dos percusionistas locales para formar un grupo de obligato. La partitura también requería una disposición no tradicional de los asientos de la Christchurch Symphony Orchestra para rodearlos. El director principal, Benjamin Northey, se mostró encantado con el éxito del sonido que creó la obra.
