Musikmesse 2012 in Frankfurt am Main - Deutschlandby Holda Paoletti-Kampl |
 Die Frankfurter Musikmesse findet vom´ Mittwoch 21. bis Samstag 24. März 2012, mit einem Tag für die Öffentlichkeit am 24. März. Der Öffnungszeiten sind von 9.00 Uhr bis 18.00 Uhr.Fast alle Akkordeon-Hersteller aus Italien und Deutschland werden in Halle 3.1 ausstellen. Insgesamt werden internationale Aussteller aus rund 46 Ländern ihre Musikinstrumente, Musiksoftware und-hardware, Noten, Zubehör dem Publikum vorstellen. Am Samstag, dem Publikumstag können alle Akkordeonliebhaber viele internationale Künstlern, an den Ständen der Akkordeon-Hersteller treffen und spielen hören. Yuri Shishkin und Ludovic Beier in Konzert und Seminar, Asturien - Spanienby Alejandro Martinez Ares |
  Am Samstag, 5. Mai um die Mittagszeit (12 Uhr) wird es ein spannendes Konzert im Teatro Auditorio de Pola de Siero, Asturias geben. Im ersten Teil dieses Konzerts spielt der bekannte Roland Künstler Ludovic Beier (Frankreich) und der zweite Teil des Konzerts ist dem international renommierten Professor und Solisten Yuri Shishkin (Russland) gewidmet. Der Eintritt ist frei und diese großartige Veranstaltung wird von Roland Spanien gesponsert.Später an diesem Nachmittag um ca. 16 h steht eine Demonstration von Roland Akkordeons mit Ludovic Beier am Konservatorium Superior de Musica del Principado de Asturias sein auf dem Programm – auch hier freier Eintritt. Der Yuri Shishkin Meisterkurse ist am Samstag, 5. Mai von 16.00 bis 20.00 Uhr und am Sonntag, 6. Mai, von 10.00 bis 14.00 Uhr und von 16.00 bis 20.00 Uhr, am Conservatorio Superior de Musica 'Eduardo Martlnez Tomer', Corrada del Obispo s / o in Oviedo.  "Die Schönheit der Unvollkommenheit, die Dick Contino Geschichte ' ist eine Autobiographie, vom Tonband transkribiert. Das Buch erzählt Dick Contino‘s Lebensgeschichte, mit vielen Anekdoten und offenbart seinen Kampf mit extremen Phobien, Gefängnis, Glücksspiel, Trinken und Indiskretionen. Seine späteren US-Armee Probleme und Freiheitsstrafen sind wesentliche Schlagzeilen.Dick Contino wurde ein bekannter Name. Er wurde ehrenvoll als Staff Sergeant entlassen und erhielt später eine Begnadigung durch den Präsidenten. Das Buch beschreibt auch seine Affäre mit der Schauspielerin, Leigh Snowden und ihren Kindern, sowie sein jetziges Leben mit seiner Frau, Tonia. Dick Contino wurde ein Akkordeon-Superstar in der Horace Heidt Radio-Show in den späten 40er Jahren. Er ist seit langem einer der weltweit bekanntesten Akkordeon Entertainer, verdiente Standing Ovations in jede Show.  In den USA Time Magazine vom 12. März 2012 gab es einen Artikel:. "Chinas Werbemarkt nimmt sprunghaft zu. Die 54 Billionen USD-Markt wuchs um mehr als 20% von 2005 bis 2010, nach ResearchInChina, ein in Beijing ansässiges Markt-Research-Unternehmen.Wie in den USA, ist das Internet mit Abstand in China am schnellsten wachsender Werbemarkt "(auch in den meisten anderen Ländern der Welt - Editor)." Online-Werbung in China mit Ausgaben um 57% im Jahr 2011 – das ist ein Anteil von mehr als 10% der chinesischen Gesamt-Werbeausgaben, als mehr als doppelt so viel wie im Jahr 2009. " Es scheint, dass chinesische Unternehmen schnell die Bedeutung von Internet-Werbung erkannt haben, wie die große Anzahl von chinesischen Internet-Nutzern immer wieder beweisen. When Sam and Rose Ash opened the first Sam Ash Music in Brooklyn, NY back in 1924, and its now the largest family-owned musical instrument retailer in the USA, (45 Megastores in 16 states), and it remains family owned and operated with three generations of the Ash family employed by the company.In the early 1950’s Jerry noticed the increasing popularity of the accordion and began to stock different models. Soon Sam Ash became known as the leading accordion dealer in the Brooklyn, NY area and are still active in accordion retailing. Picture to the side is accordion pants, unisex or not, you decide? | The Regional Competition for Young Performers took place on March 5th and 6th at Tarco- Sale, a small town located in Yamal region of Russia. Alexander Selivanov was Chairman of the Jury, alongside Moscow pianist Professor Denis Chefanov and violinist Alexey Mayevsky. Picture above of Alexander Selivanov presenting prizes. The competition had about 200 participants from the ages of 6 until 15. Alexander Selivanov also gave master-classes for young local musicians, and during the closing concert played on stage together with young talented accordionist Denis Koptelov. Picture below. The final piece of the concert was the famous ‘Frescos’ for Bayan and Orchestra by Viatcheslav Semionov, performed by Alexander Selivanov and Denis Chefanov. |

 The Accordions Worldwide news for 13th March 1998 reported that accordionist Tracey Collins entered the McDonalds Young Entertainers, a very popular weekly TV show in New Zealand.It is not easy for accordion acts to impress in TV talent shows, but Tracey Collins certainly did and this was a beginning to a most successful career by Tracey as an accordion entertainer within New Zealand and internationally. ACCORDIONIST FEATURED ON TV MUSIC COMPETITION - NEW ZEALAND Contributed by Steve Collins Accordionist Tracey Collins was chosen from over 1,000 acts to compete in the McDonalds Young Entertainers, a very popular weekly TV show which is held annually over 13 weeks. Tracey performed ‘Cubanola’, promoting the accordion (which looked great under lights with sparkling diamantes). After her performance, she was interviewed by show host Jason Gunn. Tracey's performance is due to be screened in June 1998. |

Dieses Konzert mit AKK & Saxduo Mirjana Petercol & Makus Hoßner, ist der krönende Abschluss des Kompositions-Workshops am Höchst Konservatorium Frankfurt, der unter der Leitung des Komponisten und Dozenten Claus Kühnl stattfand.  The dates for the 2012 Accordion Federation of North America (AFNA) Festival are 9th to 11th August at the Hyatt Hotel in Irvine, California. This year Joan Sommers will conduct the AFNA Festival Orchestra and we are inviting all the accordionists who want to play some vintage Anthony Galla-Rini arrangements to join Joan Sommers directing the AFNA Festival Orchestra.The Martin Music Center Accordion Orchestra (directed by Randy Martin) will be featured and in 2011 won the International Accordion Orchestra Competition at the American Accordionists' Association (AAA) Festival held in Charleston, South Carolina, July last year. The Martin Accordion Orchestra is a group of very talented and hard-working young musicians. In the past, the group has performed at the White House and Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., the Coupe Mondiale in 2007 and 2009 in New Zealand, and has played on multiple television broadcasts. |

Vladimir Zubitsky - Toccata In 2010, Augustinas competed in the Lithuanian TV talent show "2 minutes of Fame“ and won the award as the best show musician in the superfinal. He also received one of the biggest viewers‘ votes and won 4th prize in the superfinal. |

 Next week Scottish accordionist Roy Hendrie, a former NAO All Britain Junior Champion, is in concert at the North Staffs Accordion Club and the Stockport Accordion Club. Roy Hendrie, from Troon, Ayrshire, is a most accomplished accordionist and dance band leader, whose music encompasses a variety of styles including Scottish, Continental, French musette, Latin American, and jazz. | Mazaika Swing - passionate, dynamic and soulful Gypsy Jazz played by some of Britain's leading exponents of the style – Sarah Harrison (violin), Igor Outkine (accordion/vocals), Stuart Blagden and Ducato Piotrowski (guitars), and Marcus Penrose (double bass). When Sarah Harrison and Igor Outkine of critically acclaimed duo Mazaika met Stu Blagden (“The 'numero uno' Gypsy Jazz guitarist in the UK” - Hank Marvin), there was only one thing to do, form a gypsy swing quintet! They recruited Ducato Piotrowski, a Rom Gypsy and the genre’s top rhythm player in the UK, and Marcus Penrose, one of London’s top young jazz bass players. Mazaika Swing focuses on the repertoire of Django Reinhart, Stephane Grapelli and the Hot Club de France plus other contemporary Gypsy Swing composers such as Romane, Tchavolo Schmitt and others, but they also play original compositions, tangos and boleros and some hot gypsy favourites.
