'World Meeting of Accordion Music', Valledupar - Kolumbienby Rob Howard |

| Der Akkordeonist Walter Gialdi (Video oben Jazzperformance) aus Cordoba, Argentinien, wurde als Gast beim 5. 'World Meeting of Accordion Music' in Valledupar, Kolumbien, 19-22 Juni bestätigt. Der Event wird von der Reyes Y Juglares Vallenatos Foundation organisiert. Walter Gialdi hat Argentinien auf dem 2007 Internationalen Festival in Castelfidardo, Italien vertreten. Weiters sind als Gäste bestätigt: Landazábal Luis Eduardo Cortés, aus Kolumbien, ein renommierter Akkordeonist von lateinamerikanischen Rhythmen, aber auch vor allem Musik aus Brasilien, Chile und Paraguay, sowie Sivio Prevale aus Uruguay. Das Festival wird zugleich auch eine Hommage an Don Jacob Luque García sein, der als erster Hohner Akkordeons in Kolumbien importierte. Das Festival bietet Wettbewerbe für Solo-Akkordeonisten und Ensembles mit Akkordeons. Anmeldefrist zur Teilnahme am Festival ist 18. April 2013.  Yoshiya Watanabe, bekannter Akkordeon Forscher und Sammler, Spieler und Analytiker, starb an Krebs am Sonntag 9. Februar 2013, im Alter von 60 Jahren. Er war Mitglied einer internationalen Band, Sammler von alten und antiken Akkordeons und hatte eine eigene, große Instrumentensammlung. Sein großes Wissen über alles, was mit Akkordeons zu tun hatte, machte ihn bei jedermann bekannt und beliebt. Bild links in 1968. Er wurde in Ägypten geborgen und erhielt später in Deutschland an der International School in Hamburg seine Schulbildung. Auf der International Christian University in Tokio, studierte er Biologie und organische Chemie. Yoshiya Watanabe war fließend in Deutsch und Englisch. Er übersetzte den Roman "Accordion Crimes" ins Japanische. Beschäftigt in der chemischen Industrie mit der Mitsui Unternehmen, lebte Yoshiya auch in Brasilien, wo er viele Kontakte mit Akkordeonisten gemacht hat. Yoshiya begann mit dem Akkordeonspiel in Hamburg im Jahr 1966 und spielte sowohl Tasten als auch Knopfakkordeon. Als hochqualifizierter und praktischer Mann entwickelte er im Jahr 1985, was vielleicht das weltweit erste MIDI-Synthesizer Akkordeon war. Dieses Instrument hatte Faltenbalg Sensoren, und wurde auf der International Science Expo '85 in Tsukuba, Japan vorgestellt. Yoshiya Watanabe war auch der Autor zweier Bücher über das Akkordeon. |

  Das 2013 Victoria Akkordeon Festival in Victoria, wird kurz vor dem 66. Coupe Mondiale amd 16. Und 17. August/BC 16 Uhr stattfinden.Die Veranstaltung wird von der BC Accordion Society und Präsident Aleksandar Milojevic (Bild rechts) unter Mithilfe seiner Frau, der hoch angesehener Akkordeonistin Jelena Milojevic (Bild rechts) organisiert.  ‘Kale Water’ is a new CD by accordionist Bob Liddle, featuring original new compositions all in the Scottish idiom and style. Multi-instrumentalist Bob Liddle plays all the instruments on the album, including accordion, guitar, keyboards, drums and bodhran.The title of the CD, ‘Kale Water’, indicates that the them of the music the Kale Water Valley in the Scottish Borders, and as such, the CD is a ‘musical map’ of the area, which rises in the Cheviots near to the English Border and empties, 20 miles later, into the River Teviot at Kalemouth, with all the tunes named after local landmarks or characters, such as ‘The Sandy Ramage Polka’, ‘Grubbit Brig’, ‘The Beirhope Burn’, and ‘The Falls O’ Chatto Linn’. The CD includes an 8-page booklet with photographs of the area, and the sleeve notes to the tunes adds informative and amusing anecdotes giving an insight into country life, past and present, in this rural area. | Silhouetten is a contemporary piece containing three movements written for accordion by Jürgen Ganzer. The name of the piece is related to the silhouettes of three composers: J.S.Bach in the 1st movement, B.Bartok in the 2nd, and L.van Beethoven in the 3rd movement. Mia Cojbašic has represented her country (Croatia) at international competitions and is one of the most prominent young classical accordion artists in Croatia. In June 2011, she started her postgraduate studies at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hannover (Germany), where she is studying with prof. Elsbeth Moser. In May 2012., she has been accepted as an exchange student at the Sibelius Academy (Finland, Helsinki), where she will study with the renowned accordion teacher and soloist Mika Väyrynen from September 2012. |

The video-clip is to accompany the success of "Avec Toi - Zoe by In-Grid" and was held with the support of the sponsors Grand Resort Lagonissi and Portioli.gr.The eighth (8) personal album of Zoe Tiganouria entitled "Rockin 'Zoe", is released by Zoe Music Ltd., which emerged from her friendship with the author Evanthia Magni. All the lyrics in the album are bound together and form a single story in the text inside the booklet of the album, entitled "Who are you" by Evanthia (a forerunner of her upcoming book). The CD contains thirteen (13) songs in modern sound, in which Zoe Tiganouria orchestrates and combines Rock moods & Tango, Celtic & Oriental sound colors, and also interprets them with her unique way on the accordion. In this production many famous, and also new upcoming artists, participate such as: Kostas Makedonas, Areti Ketime, Aspasia Theofilou, Nikolas Adespotos, Giannis Moraitis, Konstantinos Romanidis, Stelios Generalis..  Stas Venglevski (picture left) will lead an orchestra of 50 accordionists from the USA, Canada and Italy, in performing a wide variety of beautiful music arranged especially for accordion. Solos and duets will also be on the program. The orchestra members are part of the Mesa Accordion Event, formerly Frank Marocco Accordion Event, which is underway in Mesa, a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona.The concert will take place on Sunday February 17th, 7 pm. in the West Ballroom of the Arizona Golf Resort, 425 S.
