 Scandalli Accordion Factory es el patrocinador del Proyecto de Educación y Archivo de Video, 2023 Coupe Mondiale, 5-9 Septiembre, Bosnia y Herzegovina.El "Proyecto de educación de archivos de video" es un proyecto iniciado en 2010 por la Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) con la ayuda de patrocinadores y Accordions Worldwide. Los videos deben estar en línea aproximadamente 1 hora después de la presentación en vivo o la competencia en vivo y los espectadores tendrán descargas gratuitas de las competencias de Coupe Mondiale con una amplia gama de diferentes tipos y estilos de música. El proyecto incluye un video de todas las categorías de Coupe Mondiale y sus concursantes que se guardará en los archivos de la CIA en Finlandia, que en los próximos años se convertirán en una gran cantidad de grabaciones históricas, incluido el estreno de muchas obras originales de acordeón y la aparición de próximas artistas en la Coupe Mondiale.  Vídeo: Tango pour Carla de Fernando Ávila, interpretado por Martina Jembrišak (Croacia).Fernando Ávila (foto de la izquierda) ganó un premio de composición en el Concurso de Músicos 2023 de la Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM) en Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil, con su obra "Tango pour Carla". La música fue arreglada para acordeón y cuerdas y se inspiró en el nuevo tango de Astor Piazzolla. El nombre de la pieza hace referencia a Tango pour Claude, del acordeonista francés Richard Galliano. "Tango pour Carla" fue estrenada en abril de 2020 por la acordeonista Martina Jembrišak (Croacia), en su proyecto 60 Seconds of Accordion. Ese mismo año, el acordeonista polaco Nikodem Sobek interpretó la pieza en el Trophée Mondial De L'accordéon, en el que obtuvo el 2º puesto. En 2021, Sobek también interpretó esta pieza cuando fue campeón del Mundo Senior en el 46º PIF Castelfidardo, Italia, y en la 74ª Coupe Mondiale (Concurso Internacional de Acordeón), en Munich, Alemania, donde ganó el 2º premio en la categoría Virtuoso Entertainment. Fernando Ávila estrenará esta pieza en Brasil, interpretándola con la Orquestra de Cordas da Orquestra Sinfônica de Santa Maria, el 22 de agosto, a las 20h, en el Centro de Convenciones de la Universidad Federal de Santa Maria, situado en el Campus Universitario. |

| Black Pencil (que incluye al acordeonista Marko Kassl) realizará una gira por Indonesia del 20 al 30 de agosto de 2023 con un espectáculo titulado "Topeng Masquerade". Al grupo se unirá el Gamelon Ensemble de seis piezas llamado "Kyai Fatahillah" e incluirá conciertos, demostraciones y talleres en Bandung y Yogyakarta. Ambos grupos iniciaron su colaboración en noviembre de 2022 en los Países Bajos con conciertos en Ámsterdam, Utrecht y Almere. Su programa de 2023 incluirá nuevas composiciones de Roderik de Man (Países Bajos), Dyane Donck (Países Bajos) y los compositores indonesios Iwan Gunawan, Jay Afrisando, Aldy Maulana y Nursalim Yadi Anugerah, complementadas con arreglos especiales de Wayang Topeng. | El 26º Campeonato del Mundo de Acordeón y Acordeón Diatónico se celebrará en Borgorose (RI), Italia, del 8 al 10 de septiembre de 2023, organizado por la A.M.I.SA.D. APS (Associazione Musicale Italiana Strumenti ad Ania, Diatonici) de Maiolati Spontini (AN), en colaboración con la Asociación "Gli Amici dell'Organetto di Corvaro" de Borgorose (RI), la Asociación "Amici della Musica APS" de San Benedetto del Tronto (AP), el "Centro Didattico Musicale Italiano" de Recoaro Terme (VI), con el patrocinio del Ayuntamiento de Borgorose (RI), de la "Fondazione Varrone" Cassa di Risparmio di Rieti y del Ayuntamiento de Pescorocchiano (RI). El certamen está abierto a candidatos de cualquier nacionalidad, con instrumentos diatónicos de cualquier tipo.  Stan Schofield, along with his late wife Marian, was a very successful and respected accordion teacher, orchestra musical director, and NAO area festival organizer, from Burton-on-Trent in Staffordshire. Stan was the founder of the Stan Schofield Accordion School in 1972 which later changed to the Burton Accordion Society.Burton-on-Trent was a special place in the history of the accordion in the UK. In 1935 accordionists Les Beckley, Stan Kersey and Ron Wildsmith founded the West Burton Piano Accordion School, which began a long tradition of accordion activity that has lasted until the present time. Stan and Marian Schofield took up the baton in the post-war years, and their orchestras had many successes in regional and national NAO festivals, and also in the world famous Llangollen Eisteddfod in Wales. The Stan Schofield Accordion Orchestra won the Art Level orchestra section at the NAO All Britain Championships in 1980, perhaps their crowning achievement in competitions. Leading accordionists from Stan Schofield’s orchestras include John Chilton, Karen Street, Kevin Street, Karina Fodden, and the NAO many times competition winning duo Julie Patrick & Alison Johnson. Stan Schofield, born on December 10th, 1931, passed away on August 3rd, 2023. He will be greatly missed. |

 The “Good Habits” Duo will perform at a number of festivals in the UK this month.The duo, which features accordionist Pete Shaw and singer-cellist Bonnie Schwarz, will perform at the Broadstairs Folk Week in England from August 14th to 16th, followed by the Just So Festival at the Rode Hall Estate in Cheshire, England on August 19th. The Oxford Storytelling Festival will be held at the Waterperry Gardens in Waterperry, Oxford and the Shrewsbury Folk Festival will be held at the Shropshire and West Midland Agricultural Showgrounds in Shrewsbury.
