Susanne et Veli Kujala Première mondiale de « Bellows Symphony » – Finlandeby AWW |

 Après 43 ans d'attente, la "Bellows Symphony" de Torbjörn Lundquist (1920-2000 - photo de droite) sera enfin créée par Susanne et Veli Kujala (photo ci-dessus) le 6 novembre 2022 à l'église rocheuse d'Helsinki à Helsinki, en Finlande.L'œuvre a été composée par Lundquist en 1979, mais était considérée comme trop difficile à l'époque. Elle a attiré l'attention de Veli Kujala sur la page d'accueil du site du compositeur maintenu par les enfants de Lundquist. Le programme du concert comprendra également de la musique pour deux accordéons de Joachim F. W. Schneider, Uljas Pulkkis et Jukka Tiensuu. Photo ci-dessous : L'unique Rock Church à Helsinki. |

FIA2022 : "Festival Internacional de Acordeón" - Chiliby AWW |

 Le 4ème FIA2022, le "Festival Internacional de Acordeón" se tiendra ce mois-ci à Talcahuano, Hualpén et Concepción dans la région de Biobío au Chili organisé par la Fondation Entre Fuels.Le festival comprendra des interviews, des conférences, des masterclasses, des concerts et des invités internationaux dans le but de rassembler la communauté de l'accordéon du Chili. Joaquín Muñoz Donoso, Directeur de la FIA et Président de la Fondation Entre Fuels a annoncé qu'ils aimeraient écouter des histoires d'accordéonistes et écrire "l'Histoire de l'Accordéon du Chili". Les interviews du festival seront en ligne via les réseaux sociaux avec des invités internationaux de renom : Francesca Pigini (Italie), Grayson Masefield (Nouvelle-Zélande), Julien Beautemps (France, photo ci-dessous), Frederic Deschamps (France), Renzo Ruggieri (Italie), Volodymyr Kashuta (Ukraine) et Antonino De Luca (Italie, photo en bas à droite) entre autres. Des concerts auront lieu les 10, 11 et 12 novembre au Teatro Dante de Talcahuano, avec les prestations de Sebastian Bravo alias Seba Malo (Chili, photo en bas à gauche), Iñaki Alberdi (Espagne), Seba Mufasa (Chili), Duo Diverso (accordéoniste Alma Petrauskait & pianiste Kristina Jeganian de Lituanie, photo en bas), Manuel Bustamante (Chili), Pato Pianola (Chili), Miguel Quinchamán (Chili), Yvonne Glur (Suisse, photo en haut à droite) et le Quintet Entre Fueles. Des conférences auront lieu au Théâtre Dante sur différents thèmes tels que la musique manouche, la musique baroque, la musique brésilienne et Luteria et des master classes auront lieu au Centre culturel Hualpén sur la technique professionnelle. Toutes les activités auront lieu en direct en personne et diffusées en ligne. L'entrée est gratuite. |

 Alors que l'American Accordionists' Association (AAA) continue de donner la priorité à la santé et à la sécurité de ses membres et des participants à l'événement, la deuxième compétition virtuelle de l'association a fourni une opportunité exceptionnelle aux accordéonistes de tout âge et de tout niveau, de concourir et de s'améliorer.L'organisateur du concours, Frank Busso Jr., a supervisé l'événement, avec Mike Silvia fournissant une assistance technique et une assistance aux candidats et aux juges. Les candidats de cette année ont été jugées par Frank Busso Sr., Joanna Darrow, Kevin Friedrich, Eddie Monteiro et Mary Tokarski. Ce fonds, géré par la Community Foundation for Greater New Haven (Connecticut), a été créé en 2018. Il a été créé par Mary Tokarski pour honorer son défunt mari Frank, qui a soutenu avec amour sa musique au fil des décennies, et pour qu'elle donne aux jeunes la capacité de "faire l'expérience de l'enrichissement et de la joie de faire de la musique". L'AAA remercie Mary pour cet héritage continu apprécié. |

  Vidéo : Mirco Patarini interprétant Il Bosco della Musica, une composition du très apprécié Roberto Molinelli d'Italie. Profitez-en !La représentation très bien accueillie a eu lieu au Conservatoire de Prague en République tchèque le 28 octobre 2022. Mirco Patarini s'est produit dans le monde entier dans plus de 69 pays, interprétant un large éventail de genres allant du répertoire classique à la musique moderne, des performances en solo aux concerts pour accordéon et orchestre et avec des groupes. Depuis 2017 Mirco Patarini a été président de la Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA). Roberto Molinelli a composé cette pièce originale pour accordéon solo, orchestre à cordes et percussions, spécifiquement pour le PIF de Castelfidardo. Le titre est tiré du nom, "Il Bosco della Musica", de la fontaine artistique conçue par Tonino Guerra qui se trouve dans les jardins de Porta Marina à Castelfidardo. |

  L'Ensemble Romano Viazzani donnera deux concerts au Royal Opera House de Londres, en Angleterre, ce mois-ci, dans le cadre de la série de concerts "Family Sundays".Les séances du dimanche ont pour thème "Héros et méchants" et l'initiative du Royal Opera House vise à rendre la musique plus accessible aux familles avec enfants. Pour tout public, mais les activités sont conçues pour les familles avec des enfants de trois à dix ans.  Le Musée de Dargaville qui abrite le superbe Accordion Gems de Kevin Friedrich ... Une collection maîtresse d'accordéons à travers le temps... est également le lieu du concert de Noël 2022 de Kevin Friedrich et ses amis.C'est avec une réelle excitation que le Musée de Dargaville annonce la reprise de la série de concerts populaires de collecte de fonds qui ont si souvent rempli le Centre de Fonction du Musée de Dargaville à pleine capacité. "Christmas Joy" aura lieu le dimanche 4 décembre à 13h00 et réunira une fois de plus notre communauté et nos invités pour un magnifique et divertissant après-midi de musique et d'amitié. Ce spectacle familial de variétés de Noël, animé par Kevin Friedrich, comprendra des chansons préférées du temps des fêtes, quelques chansons à chanter et quelques surprises, présentées par un éventail d'artistes, notamment North Shore Accordion Orchestra (dirigé par Heather Masefield et Christine Johnstone) avec des membres tels que Grayson Masefield, Maurice Jones, Lian Jones et Kevin Friedrich ; Lionel Reekie (chanteur et accordéoniste), Alanah & Maurice Jones (chanteurs), Jone Yelcich (chanteur), Rivertown Singers et Take 6 (chœur), Thomas Koloi (piano et chant), Sonja Whitehouse en solo et avec son Kaipara Ensemble, Ros Gilmour (chanteuse), Linda Emmett Litt (percussions) et bien d'autres. L'organisatrice du concert, Margaret Tier, s'est affairée à programmer les répétitions et rapporte que tout est sur la bonne voie pour un autre événement communautaire exceptionnel mettant en vedette une impressionnante brochette d'artistes talentueux. Le musée de Dargaville accueille la seule exposition publique d'accordéons de l'hémisphère sud, intitulée "Accordion Gems, A Master Collection of Accordions Through Time". Créée et organisée par Kevin Friedrich, les 150 instruments exposés présentent l'évolution fascinante de l'instrument au cours de ses presque 200 ans d'histoire. Les billets coûtent 20 dollars par adulte et sont gratuits pour les jeunes (15 ans et moins). | The XIX Moscow International Festival "Harmonica - the Soul of Russia" will be held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Alfred Martinovich Mirek, a highly regarded teacher, author and recipient of many awards in Russia. He is perhaps most famous as the founder of the Museum of Russian Harmonica in Moscow and creator of this festival. The festival program will take place from November 17th to November 21st, 2022. It will include five concerts and the Round Table, the theme of which is the creative heritage of Professor Alfred Martinovich Mirek. Festival concerts will be held at three concert venues as follows: • November 17th at 7pm - Grand opening concert in the Great Concert Hall of the State Budgetary Institution of Culture of Moscow "Memorial Museum of A.N. Skryabin". • November 18th at 4pm - Round table dedicated to the creative heritage of Professor Alfred Martinovich Mirek in the Concert Hall at the Museum of Russian Harmonica A. Mirek. Free admission • November 18th at 7pm - Concert "Magic Accordion" in the Concert Hall at the Museum of Russian Harmonica A. Mirek. • November 19th at 2.30pm - Concert "Parade of Virtuosos" in the Concert Hall at the Museum of Russian Harmonica A. Mirek). • November 20th at 2.30pm - Concert "Variety Kaleidoscope" in the Concert Hall at the Museum of Russian Harmonica A. Mirek. • November 21st - Birthday of Professor A.M. Mirek The final gala concert of the festival will be held in the Chamber Concert Hall at the International House of Music. The final Gala concert will be held in two parts of 60 minutes each. Famous Russian musicians on the bayan, accordion and various types of harmonicas will perform popular Russian folk melodies, masterpieces of world classics and also feature jazz melodies in original arrangements. The performance of the artists will be accompanied by a video about the life, work and cultural heritage of Professor A.M. Mirek. As the 2021 Gold Medalist for the Keyboard Prize at the Royal Over-Seas League (ROSL) Annual Music Competition, Ryan Corbett presented a Recital in London, England on November 1st, to a capacity audience. Born in Glasgow, Ryan Corbett is a classical accordionist who has been described as “one of Scotland’s most exciting young musicians” (The Scotsman). A graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland studying with Djordje Gajic, Ryan is a prize winner of numerous national and International competitions. Showcasing his exceptional technical command combined with rich musicianship and dynamic stagecraft, Ryan performed Prelude and Fugue in a minor (BWV 543) by Bach; Sonatas in F Major (K107) and D Major (K97) by Scarlatti; Sonata Op. 13 by Nagaev; Romance in F minor, Op. 5 by Tchaikovsky; Etude on the theme Chiquillin de Bachin by Piazzolla by Angelis and Caprice Espagnol, Op. 37 by Moszkowski. ROSL takes pride in helping launch the careers of their young musicians by offering many performance opportunities at major venues such as Wigmore Hall in London and has established relationships with many leading national and overseas music Festivals. Montsalvat’s expression of interest is open to professional performers and ensembles who would like to present a concert in the Barn Gallery, Upper Gallery or Bluestone Chapel at Montsalvat.  Joseph Natoli has announced that his new project, JANPress Master Classes, will commence with virtual Zoom sessions on November 7th, 2022 at 7pm EST. Each session will be 90 minutes and will occur twice a month. The second session will be held on November 21st, 2022 and continue accordingly on the first and third Monday of each month. The Master Classes will have a very diverse and detailed curriculum, with each session doing deep dive studies on various topics, followed by applied knowledge assignments. Additionally, there will be focus on subject matter that the subscribers specifically want to cover for personal musical growth while using planned and requested curriculum materials to benefit everyone. JANPress Master Classes won't be specializing in just one area of musical interest. A wide variety of topics will be presented, and this will be as close to a college course in a music degree program as possible, yet presented in a relaxed fashion at each attendee's level and speed for the most efficient and complete knowledge share. Each session will be amplified and enhanced by an assignment that follows our LEARN acronym (which stands for Listen, Experiment, Apply, Repeat, Normalize). The topics in each session aim to greatly enhance your musical understanding on widely diverse subjects including all aspects of performance, theory, chord progressions, composition, arranging, ensemble performing, recording, music notation, music & accordion history, music technology and much more.  The 2022 Polka Hall of Fame Awards Show will pay tribute to well-known polka achievers with three days of dancing and a gala, big-band stage show at the Holiday Inn Cleveland South in Independence, Ohio, USA from November 25th to 27th, 2022.Hosted by the National Cleveland-Style Polka Hall of Fame (the country’s only polka museum), the Awards Show is the highlight of the 58th Thanksgiving Polka Weekend. The Polka Music Awards spectacular is a grand salute to the newest names entering the Polka Hall of Fame. Lifetime achievers are bandleader Joe Kusar, musicians Bill Srnick Sr. and Rudy Kershishnik, plus the Penn Ohio Polka Pals social group. The Board of Trustees adds six names to the Polka Hall of Fame Honor Roll, Bill Bevec, Al Hreno, Eddie Korosa Jr., Bill Srnick Jr., and Chris and Gary Byndas. Two beloved All-Time Cleveland-Style Hits were also chosen by Polka Hall of Fame members. “The Little Café Waltz” and “Smile, Sweetheart, Smile” were early recordings by the late Cleveland bandleaders, Johnny Pecon and Frank Yankovic, America’s Polka King. The weekend is supported in part by the residents of Cuyahoga County through a public grant from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture. Enjoy three days of music and dancing with top Cleveland-Style and Slovenian polka bands and performers. Featured entertainers include include Grammy-winners Walter Ostanek and Joey Miskulin, plus Hall of Famers Del Sinchak and Jeff and John Pecon, along with Garrett Tatano, Bob Zolka, Klancnik and Friends, and Linda Lee Brown.
