Category A Results

Soloists up to the age of 12 (born in 1999 onwards)

Unique audition
The competitors performing in the category A must present a free choice programme lasting max. 10 minutes. The competitors cannot present free choice programmes consisting entirely in transcriptions. In addition to the artistic trophy (to the first three classified), will be awarded by the organizers as the following scholarships (gross):

euro 200,00 to the 2nd classified

Category B Results

Soloists up to the age of 15 (born in 1996 onwards) - Unique audition

The competitors performing in the category B must present a free choice programme lasting max. 15 minutes. The competitors cannot present free choice programmes consisting entirely in transcriptions. In addition to the artistic trophy (to the first three classified), special prizes will be awarded by the organizers as the following scholarships (gross):
euro 300,00 to the 1st classified
euro 200,00 to the 2nd classified
euro 150,00 to the 3rd classified


Category C Results

Soloists up to the age of 18 (born in 1993 onwards) - 2 auditions

In the first audition competitors in the category C must perform a “Sonata” by Domenico Scarlatti and a free choice programme lasting max. 10 minutes (including the compulsory piece). Competitors admitted to the second audition (approximately 6-8 competitors) will perform a free choice programme lasting max. 15 minutes. The competitors cannot present free choice programmes consisting entirely in transcriptions. In addition to the artistic trophy (to the first three classified), special prizes will be awarded by the organizers as the following scholarships (gross):
euro 300,00 to the 1st classified
euro 200,00 to the 2nd classified
euro 150,00 to the 3rd classified

Category D Results

Soloists (no age limit) - 2 auditions

In the first audition competitors in the category D must perform a “Sonata” by Domenico Scarlatti and a free choice programme lasting max. 12 minutes (including the compulsory piece). Competitors in category F must perform a free choice programme lasting max. 25 minutes. In addition to the artistic trophy (to the first three classified), special prizes will be awarded by the organizers, as well as the following scholarships (gross):

Category G - Light Music Section Results

Competitors in category G must perform a free choice programme lasting max. 15 minutes. Category G is a Light Music Category from all countries and all styles (not only French Varieté) and also Jazz. In addition to the artistic trophy (to the first three classified), will be awarded by the organizers as the following scholarships (gross):

Category H Round 1 - Light Music Section Results

Category I Results

Accordion orchestras, without age limit (with a minimum of 10 components including the rhythmic section) with a predominantly classical repertoire. - Unique audition

The contestants in category I should present a programme of their choice lasting no more than 40 minutes. In addition to the artistic trophy (to the first three classified), special prizes will be awarded by the organizers, as well as the following scholarships (gross):
euro 2.000,00 to the first placed orchestra + “Accordions Worldwide” Special Prize
euro 1.200,00 to the second placed orchestra
euro 800,00 to the third placed orchestra
euro 500,00 to the fourth placed orchestra
euro 300,00 to the fifth placed orchestra


Category L Results

Orchestras and groups without age limit, with a minimum of 2 components, either formed mainly of accordions or formed of other instruments but where the accordion has a predominant role. The repertoire should be predominantly of light music and jazz. - Unique audition

The contestants in category L should present a programme of their choice lasting no more than 30 minutes. Category L is a Light Music category from all countries and all styles (not only French variete) and also Jazz. In addition to the artistic trophy (to the first three classified), special prizes will be awarded by the organizers, as well as the following scholarships (gross):
euro 800,00 to the first placed orchestra or group + Prize “Klingenthal” + Prize “Master Midi”
euro 500,00 to the second placed orchestra or group
euro 250,00 to the third placed orchestra or group
Category L

Category M - Piazzolla Music Section Results

Soloists (accordion and bandoneon) and bands – no age limit and no limit for the number of members - Unique audition

The presence in the band of an accordion or bandoneon is compulsory. Bands (obviously preserving the name) are allowed to change their members (according to the requirements of the musical compositions), within the terms established. Competitors in category M must perform a free choice programme lasting max. 30 minutes. In addition to the artistic trophy (to the first three classified), special prizes will be awarded by the organizers, as well as the following scholarships (gross):
euro 800,00 to the 1st classified
euro 500,00 to the 2nd classified
euro 250,00 to the 3rd classified
category M

Category Premio
Categor. PREMIO
for accordion concert-soloists (no age limit) - 2 auditions

In the first audition the competitors performing in the PREMIO for accordion concert-soloists category will play:
- two dances (without refrains) from one of the “French Suites”
(BWV 812-817) by Johann Sebastian Bach and a programme chosen by the competitor including at least one piece from the original accordion musical literature of the following countries: Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. The duration time in the first audition is 30 minutes (including the compulsory piece).

Those admitted to the second audition will play:
a programme chosen by the competitor including at least one piece from the original accordion musical literature of the following countries: Independent States Community, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, USA, Canada and ex-Yugoslavia. The duration time in the second audition is 30 minutes. Competitors in the soloist categories cannot present free choice programmes consisting entirely in transcriptions. In addition to the artistic trophy (to the first three winners of each category), special prizes will be awarded by the organizers, as well as the following scholarships (gross):
euro 2.000,00 to the 1st classified winner + “Ballone Burini” Prize +
“Accordions Worldwide” Special Prize
euro 1.000,00 to the 2nd classified
euro 500,00 to th e 3rd classified
euro 150,00 to all competitors not awarded but admitted to the second audition.
