INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR ACCORDION SOLOISTS
(COUPE MONDIALE) 2002. There will be three (3) rounds:

Round
I - Testpiece Section
|
- Testpiece: CIRCUS by Bent LORENTZEN.(must
play ALL movements)
Publisher: SAMFUNDET Grabrodrestaede 18 DK -1156 Copenhagen.
The Test Piece is available on request from both the CIA Secretariat
or you may request it online.
- any Prelude
and Fugue from the Well Tempered Clavier, Book I or II, by J.S. Bach
- any Sonata
by Domenico Scarlatti
(The complete Testpiece, Bach Prelude & Fugue and Scarlatti Sonata
must be played in one sitting and may be played in any order.)

Round
II - Complete Original Work
|
- One complete
original work for the accordion
|
Round
III - Choice Program
|
- Own-choice
programm consisting of three (3) or more pieces of different styles
and characters. Playing time: minimum 20 to maximum 30 minutes. Failure
to observe minimum or maximum playing time will result in a mark penalty
by the jury.

Prizes
and Awards - Coupe Mondiale, 2002
|
- All candidates
shall receive a Diploma of participation
- 1st: $800.00, 2nd:
$400.00, 3rd: $300.00
- DKR
10,000
will be awarded to the candidate for best performance of the Testpiece.
This prize is donated by the publisher SAMFUNDET.
- National member
associations are requested to offer concerts or a tour for the 1st
Prize Winners.
- All winners
must be present in person at the awards ceremony. In case of absence,
the prize may be accepted by a delegate of their country. Diplomas
will be mailed by the Secretariat.
