Greetings
from the Artistic Director
 Castelfdardo
with its Competition and Award is once again a meeting place and reference
point in the accordion world. Castelfidardo, homeland of the accordion,
is still the place to sum things up, to think and to understand how
to engage all the energies devoted to music by the young competitors
and their teachers. To meet, to exchange musical know-how and experiences
with a desire to leave Castelfidardo, with even greater enthusiasm.
The organization has has always wanted to set up a competition without
extreme rivalries, but where the best could stand out and make a name
for themselves. Besides the competition, another ambition has always
been to organize a festival which could positively support the image
of the accordion. To this purpose - and much to my satisfaction and
of all the Town Hall Administration - this year once again, distinguished
artists and musicians have been invited to Castelfidardo. I would like
to wish lots of success to all of this year's participants and hope
that the several visitors coming on this ocassion will have a pleasant
stay in our city.
