The Piazolla competition was held during the day with a prize giving concert in the evening.

The Jury was: Peter Soave, (Presidente), Massimo Pitzianti, Klaudiusz Baran, Cao Xiao-Qing and Roberto Lucanero.

Before the prize giving concert, the audience enjoyed the film titled "Farfisa per una storia della fisarmonica" (Farfisa the story of the accordion). This movie had subtitles in English and will be available in DVD format.
