Wednesday 16th October

The CIA Music Committee met at 11.00am. After contestants arrived during the morning, registration began at 1pm in the foyer of the Hotel Cab Inn Scandinavia in Copenhagen. The 108th CIA Congress took place (also at the Hotel), followed by the draw at 6 pm, for playing order in all categories.

Some 100 candidates entering 6 categories were present to choose their playing order in the various six categories.

Opening Ceremony Concert

To Celebrate the opening of the 55th Coupe Mondiale, the DHL presented an official Opening Concert at the National Museum in Copenhagen.

After the official opening welcome, the concert featured the Allerod Accordion Orchestra under the direction of Peter Anders and the Duo Modus featuring Marta Libalova - violin and Jytte von Ruden - accordion.
