Opening Concert

Qingdao is a major city in eastern Shandong Province, Eastern China with 4.5 million citizens. Qingdao is a major seaport, naval base, and industrial centre. The world's longest sea bridge, the Jiaozhou Bay Bridge, links the main urban area of Qingdao with Huangdao district, straddling the Jiaozhou Bay sea areas. Qingdao is also the site of the Tsingtao Brewery, the second largest brewery in China. 青岛是位于山东省东部，拥有近900万人口，是中国东部重要的海港、海军基地和工业中心。青岛拥有世界上最大的跨海大桥--胶州湾大桥，连接了青岛市区和黄岛开发区，并横跨胶州湾海域。青岛拥有世界知名，中国第二大啤酒品牌--青岛啤酒

Qingdao is also known for culture and being held at the same time as the accordion festival, was the 4th China International Violin Competition (Quindao). 在本次青岛手风琴节举办的同时，也在举办第四届中国国际小提琴比赛。	Prof. Li Cong (right) President of the China Accordion Association (CAA) was greeted by Feng Huan Bin who proudly showed the Certificate of Honor presented to him at the most successful 2011 Coupe Mondiale in Shanghai by Prof. Li and CIA President Raymond Bodell. 中国手风琴学会会长李聪教授(右边）与2011 世界杯手风琴锦标赛展演金奖获得者冯焕斌先生合影。

These were very happy memories. 这是一个多么快乐的回忆呀	Also there to greet us was CAA Executive Secretary Crystal Wang and well known teacher Prof. Chen Yiming, Shan Dong Normal University, Jianan City. 中国手风琴学会执行秘书长王从余老师和山东师范大学的陈一鸣教授。

Chen Yiming (pictured with Harley Jones) has written a poem and music that was being performed at the Opening Concert. 陈一鸣（与Harley Jones合影的这位老师）写了一首诗，并且在本次开幕式音乐会中朗诵.	The Opening Concert was nicely presented with a large sign above the stage and a very large sign at the entrance to the hall. 艺术节开幕式在青岛人民回趟隆重举行。





Starting the concert off was a miltary choir of men and women, Qingdao Veterans Choir conducted by Zhang He Yu, with accordion accompaniment. Their beautiful sound was greatly appreciated by the large audience in the hall. 音乐会的第一个节目是由青岛市老战士合唱团演唱，张和玉指挥，王明智、张婷手风琴伴奏。澎湃的歌声赢得了现场观众热烈的掌声。

The two accordionists, Zhang Ting and Wang Ming Zhi, were very skilled accompanists of the choir. Wang Ming Zhi was also the main organiser of this festival. 两位手风琴演奏者分别是，张婷和王明智。他们用非常娴熟的技能和火热的激情为合唱队伴奏。王明智也是本次手风琴节日的组织者.


Feng Huan Bin, famous for playing the accordion upside down. 冯焕斌老先生在用自己的拿手绝活反拉手风琴为大家表演。

Second was a military choir of men, Qingdao Bai Hua Lin Choir conducted by Gao Si Kuan was again beautifully accompanied by accordionist Zhu De Lin. Their excellent singing pleased the audience very much. 第二支合唱团是男生合唱团是来自青岛市柏桦林合唱团。由高祀宽指挥，由手风琴演奏家朱德林进行手风琴伴奏。他们的表演深深打动了现场的观众.


Next came the poem written by Chen Yiming about "Our China Accordion Dream" and the development of the accordion in China. The poem was read by: Crystal Wang, Prof. Li Cong, Xu Ping and Guan Lin. 下一个节目是朗诵由陈一鸣教授所撰写的长诗《我们的中国手风琴梦》。由李聪教授、王从余老师、许平和冠霖朗诵。

Varuzhan from the Ukraine has been 来自乌克兰的手风琴青年演奏家瓦路让，	living in China for about 8 years. 他在中国生活了8年。

Accordion Orchestra of Qingdao formed for a performance at this concert, was conducted by Jia Wei.
青岛手风琴教师、学员、各地手风琴教师所组成的手风琴乐队。由贾巍指挥。
