Unter Patronanz des russischen Kulturministeriums, der russischen Gnesin-Musikakademie sowie des Friedrich Lips-Fonds fanden in der Zeit vom 13.-20. Dezember 2015 der 6. Internationale Wettbewerb für Bajanisten und Akkordeonisten und das 27. Internationale Festival “Bajan und Bajanisten” im Konzertsaal der russischen Gnessin-Musikakademie in Moskau statt.

Seit seinen Anfängen im Jahre 1989 (seit damals insgesamt 135 Konzerte!) war das Festival immer ein Ort, wo junge Talente neben bereits anerkannten Meistern ihre Kunst präsentieren konnten, neue Kompositionen und Interpretationen bereits bekannter Werke zu hören waren, Werke für Solo, Kammermusik und Orchester aufgeführt wurden.

Stets wurde ein breites musikalisches Spektrum geboten: von Klassik bis Jazz, von Popularmusik bis zur Avant-garde.

Während des Festivals fanden im Foyer des Konzertsaals der russischen Gnesin Musikakdemie Ausstellungen von Noten und Tonträgern sowie Vorführungen von Musikinstrumenten statt.

With the participation of the Federal Agency of Culture, the Russian Gnesin Academy of Music and the Friedrich Lips Fund, the 6th International Competition of Bayanists and Accordionists and the XXVII International Festival “Bayan and Bayanists” took place in the concert hall of the Russian Gnesin Academy of Music in Moscow from December 13 to 20, 2015.

Since its very beginning back in 1989 (and in a whole 135 concerts since then!), the festival has always been a place where young talents together with already recognized masters had their stage; one could listen to new compositions and interpretations of pieces already known; works for solo, chamber music and orchestra were performed.

The musical range always was very broad from classical to jazz, from popular music to avant- garde.

Exhibitions and presentations of musical instruments of chief world producers took place in the foyer of the concert hall of Russian Gnesin Academy of Music throughout the festival.

Competition Categories

The VI International Competition of Bayan and Accordion Players and the 27th International Festival "The Bayan & Bayan Players" will be held at Gnesins Grand Concert Hall, Moscow, from 13 to 20 December 2015.

There are two main competition categories.

Academic Music Program:
1st Round
1. One of the following works on the choice of the competitor:
- J.S.Bach - Prelude and Fugue from "WTC" vol.1 or 2 or
- D. Shostakovitch - Prelude and Fugue from the cycle "24 Preludes and Fugues"
2. One piece from Tchaikovsky's cycle of piano "The Seasons"
3. Original piece
Duration of the program maximum 20 min.

2nd Round
Own choice program including a complete original cyclic work (with minimum 2 parts). Duration of the program from 25 to 30 min.

3rd Round

Im Eröffnungskonzert des Festivals brachte FriedrichLips Michail Bronner‘s „Katuv“ (2004) für Bajan, Klavier (Svjatoslav Lips) und Symphonieorchester (Dir. Andrei Lebedew) zur Aufführung. „Katuv“ bedeutet „So ist es geschrieben“, wobei der Autor diesen Begriff eigentlich als „Schicksal“ versteht: kann der Mensch wissen, was ihm vorherbestimmt („geschrieben“) ist? Die Preisträger des letzten Wettbewerbs 2010 losif Purits, Semyon Schmelkov (Russland) und Tian Jianan (China) glänzten im zweiten Teil dieses Konzerts.	In the opening concert of the festival, Friedrich Lips performed Mikhail Bronner's "Katuv" (2004) for bayan, piano (Svjatoslav Lips) and Symphony (Andrei Lebedev, conductor). "Katuv" means "So it is written", the author understanding this quotation actually as "fate": can man know what he is predestined ("written") for? In the second part of this concert, losif Purits, Semyon Shmelkov (Russia) and Tian Jianan (China), winners of the last competition in 2010, enchanted their public .

Viele bedeutende russische Komponisten feierten im heurigen Jahr einen runden Geburtstag : Nikolai Tchaikin (100 Jahre), Alexander Cholminov, Yuri Schischakow, Anatoly Schalajew (jeweils 90), Roman Ledenjow (85), Anatoli Kusjakow, Alexander Schurbin (jeweils 70). Im Rahmen des ihnen gewidmeten Konzerts erinnerten die internationalen Preisträger Vladimir Volkov, Michail Burlakov, Semyon Schmelkov, Alexander Selivanov, Petr Babin, Eugeny Krasheninnikov, Vitaly Bogolyubov, losif Purits, Angelina Koznova, Artem Kriklivy, Tolegen Kakimov mit ihren Vorträgen bekannter Werke an diese Komponisten. Anlässlich seines 80. Geburtstags wurde Alfred Ginzburg, Direktor der Moskauer Instrumenten-fabrik und Präsident der Russischen Union für Instrumentenbauer, im Rahmen dieses Konzerts für seine wesentlichen Beiträge zur Entwicklung musikalischer Instrumente geehrt, nicht nur für professionelle Künstler, sondern auch für Amateure.	This year, many outstanding Russian composers celebrated an important anniversary: Nikolai Tchaikin (100 years), Alexander Kholminov, Yuri Shishakov, Anatoly Shalayev (each 90), Roman Ledenyov (85), Anatoly Kusyakov, Alexander Shurbin (each 70). As part of the concert dedicated to them, international prize winners such as Vladimir Volkov, Mikhail Burlakov, Semyon Shmelkov, Alexander Selivanov, Petr Babin, Eugeny Krasheninnikov, Vitaly Bogolyubov, losif Purits, Angelina Koznova, Artem Kriklivy, Tolegen Kakimov, honored these composers through performances of their well-known works. On the occasion of his 80th birthday, Alfred Ginzburg, director of the Moscow Instrument Factory and president of the Russian Union of instrument makers, was honored at this concert for his significant contributions to the development of musical instruments, not only for professional artists, but also for amateurs.

Sextet
Der Spanier Iñaki Alberdi (1995 selbst 1. Preisträger des Bajanwettbewerbs in Moskau) und der Norweger Geir Draugsvoll (heutzutage Professor für Akordeon an der Königlichen Musikakademie in Kopenhagen) gaben einen imposanten Querschnitt durch das zeitgenössische Repertoire ihrer Länder. Die meisten Werke ihrer jeweiligen Programme waren von ihnen selbst initiiert und auch ihnen gewidmet.	The Spaniard Iñaki Alberdi (1995 1st prize winner of the bayan competition in Moscow himself) and the Norwegian Geir Draugsvoll (nowadays professor of accordion at the Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen) gave an impressive over-view of the contemporary repertoire in their countries. Most of their respective programs were initiated by themselves and dedicated to them.

Vladimir Mursa, Verdienter Künstler der Ukraine, ist Professor an der Musikakademie in Odessa und Solist der dortigen Philharmonie. Er begeisterte sein Publikum mit einem abwechslungsreichen Programm zuerst als Solist und dann auch zusammen mit Anatoli Kroll’s Jazz-Orchester “Academic Band” durch die Aufführung von Viktor Vlassov’s Konzert “Bayan-Band” für Bajan und Jazz-Orchester.	Vladimir Mursa, Merited Artist of Ukraine, is a professor at the Academy of Music in Odessa and soloist of the local philharmonic. He inspired his audience with a varied program first as a soloist and also together with Anatoly Kroll's jazz orchestra "Academic Band" by the performance of Viktor Vlassov's concert "Bayan-Band" for bayan and jazz orchestra.

Die internationale Jury des Wettbewerbs bestand aus dem Vorsitzenden Friedrich Lips , Oleg Scharow, Jurij Dranga (Russland), Vladimir Mursa (Ukraine), Iñaki Alberdi (Spanien), Voijn Vasovic (Serbien), Jacques Mornet (Frankreich), Klaudius Baran (Polen), Geir Draugsvoll (Dänemark), Matti Rantanen (Finnland), Damir Sultanov (Kasachstan), Nikolaj Sevrjukow (Weißrussland), Xiao-Qing Cao (China).	The international jury of the competition consisted of the chairman Friedrich Lips, Oleg Sharov, Jury Dranga (Russia), Vladimir Mursa (Ukraine), Iñaki Alberdi (Spain), Voijn Vasovic (Serbia), Jacques Mornet (France), Claudius Baran (Poland), Geir Draugsvoll (Denmark), Matti Rantanen (Finland), Damir Sultanov (Kazakhstan), Nikolaj Sevrjukov (Belarus), Xiao-Qing Cao (China).

Kandidaten aus Russland, Weißrussland, Ukraine, Kasachstan, China, Serbien, Bosnien-Herzegowina, Montenegro, Kirgisien, Norwegen und Polen nahmen an dieser Veranstaltung teil, die aus drei Runden bestand, wobei sechs Finalisten um den 1. Platz spielten. Efrem Podgaits’ "Viva Voce", Konzert Nr. 2 für Bajan und Kammerorchester wurde als Pflichtstück für das Finale ausgewählt. Der im Publikum anwesende Komponist war von der Interpretation seines Konzerts durch den späteren ersten Preisträger Aidar Salachow besonders angetan. Die Reihe großer Interpreten auf dem Bajan beginnend mit Lips, Vostrelov und Sklyarov aus der legendären Klasse von Prof. Kolobkov, später mit Gainullin, Medyanik, Vlasova, Selivanov, Purits oder Schmelkow scheint also mit Salachow ihre Fortsetzung zu finden.	Candidates from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, China, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kyrgyzstan, Norway and Poland took part in this event, which for the Academic category consisted of three rounds, with six finalists competing for the 1st place. Efrem Podgaits' "Viva Voce", Concerto no. 2 for bayan and chamber orchestra was chosen as a compulsory piece for the final. The composer present in the audience was particularly impressed by the interpretation of his concert by the later first prize winner Aidar Salakhov. The series of major artists starting with Lips, Vostrelov and Sklyarov from the legendary class of Prof. Kolobkov, later with Gainullin, Medyanik, Vlasova, Selivanov, Purits and Shmelkov, thus seems to find its continuation with Salakhov.

Wie bereits 2010 wurde auch heuer wieder eine Kategorie für Unterhaltungsmusik in das Programm aufgenommen. Ergebnisse	As in 2010, a category of popular music has been included in the program again this year.

Dabei wurde die “Silver Disk” (für besondere Leistungen auf dem Gebiet der Akkordeon- und Bajankultur) an Jewgeni Gusarow, Aleksandr Petrosjan, Nikolai Ischenko, Viktor Rodin, Vladimir Solowjow (Russland),Tzho Gyu Dok (Nordkorea),Vladimir Mursa (Ukraine), Cao Xiao-Qing (China), Voijn Vasovic (Serbien), Jacques Mornet (Frankreich) sowie Nikolai Sewrjukow (Weißrussland) vergeben.	According to the tradition (since 1993), “SILVER DISCs” were conferred to Yevgeny Gusarov, Aleksandr Petrosyan, Nikolai Ishenko, Viktor Rodin, Vladimir Solovyov (Russia), Tzho Gyu Doc (North Korea), Vladimir Mursa (Ukraine ), Cao Xiao-Qing (China), Voijn Vasovic (Serbia), Jacques Mornet (France) and Nikolai Sevryukov (Belarus) for their outstanding contribution to the bayan art.

Der 6. Internationale Wettbewerb für Bajanisten und Akkordeonisten und das 27. Internationale Festival “Bajan und Bajanisten” wurden mit dem Preisträger-Konzert abgeschlossen.
