| March 2011 Ladies and gentlemen, Good afternoon! The 64th Coupe Mondiale World Accordion Championships will be hold in Shanghai, China during 2 Oct to 6 Oct 2011. Before this grand activity, we will develop series of Chinese accordion activities around the subject of Coupe Mondiale. |

Activities planned from December 2010 to World Accordion Day on 5th May 2011. |

| Accordion Association of Chinese Musicians Association (CAA) held the "Coupe Mondiale and Development of Accordion in China" Seminar at Music College of Shanghai Normal University from 18 Dec to 19 Dec 2010. Chairman, vice-chairman and executive directors of CAA attended the seminar. Chairmen of Accordion Association from various provinces, representatives of Music Conservatories around China, representatives of accordion manufacturers, and young teachers attended the seminar. |

| There were over 50 attendees, many pictured above. As one of the Activity Series of the 64th Coupe Mondiale World Accordion Championship, the year 2011 is named as "Year of Accordion in China" by the seminar. Varies activities will be held around China according to the 2011 Coupe Mondiale to publicize the Coupe Mondiale, and to promote the development of accordion in China at the same time. During the seminar, graduate students of Music College of Shanghai Normal University performed an accordion concert to the experts and teachers from various provinces. |

| As the second activity of the Coupe Mondiale Activity Series, the band Vangol built up by the students from Music College of Shanghai Normal University held the Rush Second Accordion Chamber Music Concert on 30 Dec 2010 in the Small Concert Hall. We believe that the band will perform much more wonderful during the 2011 Coupe Mondiale. |

| In the evening of 15 Jan 2011, German Hohner Entertainment Accordion Concert was held at the Multi-functional Hall in Shanghai Normal University, which begun the third activity of the 2011 Coupe Mondiale Activity Series -- Frederic Deschamps Entertainment Accordion Masters Class. Grayson Masefield (right) and Pietro Adragna gave a wonderful concert. |

| Picture above of the class. Frederic Deschamps ran the master classes passionately for accordion students from Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Ningxia, etc. We expected that they will perform with greatly increased skills for the 2011 Coupe Mondiale. |

| CAA (China Accordion Association who is the host for the 2011 Coupe Mondiale in Shanghai) selected the most unique and excellent performances during the Parrot Cup in Beijing in August last year. At a concert to be held on 16 Apr 2011 in Beijing, will be the celebration of the World Accordion Day. Then, competitions, shows and performances will be hold in the provinces where accordion is popular, such as Sichuan, Tianjin, Guangxi, and Shandong during our "Year of Accordion in China" . We would like to publicize the meaning of Coupe Mondiale further through this series of activities, and also promote the development of accordion in China. |

| Now I will introduce the activities which are part of the Coupe Mondiale 2011, Shanghai, China, from 2 Oct to 6 Oct 2011. The Opening Ceremony will be on the evening of 1st October. The cooperation of Chinese national instruments and the accordion will be shown, especially the dialog of the accordion and the "Sheng", which is called the "origin" of the accordion. We have already invited a famous Chinese composer to compose a Concerto for that. The classical accordion concert will be in the evening of 2nd October. We are planning to invite some important champions of past Coupe Mondiale World Accordion Championships, such as Grayson Masefield and Peter Maric, to hold this concert. Thus, the meaning of "Coupe Mondiale" can be publicized in the aspect of history, and the "Gold Content" of "Coupe Mondiale" will be reflected at the same time. Richard Galliano's Concert, From Bach to Piazzola, will be in the evening of 3rd October. The world entertaiment accordion concert will be on the evening of 4th October. The final of Coupe Mondiale Virtuoso Entertainment category will be on the evening of 5th October. We are planning to show the excitement and musicianship of the entertainment accordion category with this form of entertainment accordion concert. The closing ceremony will be on the evening of 6th October. Continuing tradition, the World Accordion Orchestra V will perform and the winners of the Coupe Mondiale competition categories will also perform at this concert. We intend to hold concerts at noon everyday during the Coupe Mondiale in Shanghai to enhance the atmosphere of the event. We’ve negotiated with the Shanghai Mass Art Center, and they promises that accordion concerts will be organized in local communities during the Coupe Mondiale in Shanghai. We have large numbers of passionate accordion amateurs in our city. We sincerely invite accordion players from all over the world to participate, and enhance the pleasant and harmonious atmosphere of our global accordion family.
