Walter Kasprzyk

Walter, a Polish-Russian Connecticut native, now resides on the Emerald Coast of Northwest Florida in Navarre. He began his musical studies on the accordion at the age of 8 with his brother, Michael Fernino, of Fernino Music Studios, Ansonia, CT.

He competed in local, state and national competitions throughout his early years, and was a winner of numerous trophies & awards, and won the Connecticut State accordion championship two times. He went on to play in many bands and orchestras including the Accordion Symphony Society of New York (under the baton of Maestro Joseph Biviano), and the Accordion Pops of New Jersey (directed by Daniel Desiderio).

After studying music at the University of Bridgeport, CT, Walter became part of the internationally famous "K" Trio, which performs at various functions throughout the world.

He has recently performed with the Charlotte County Symphony in Punta Gorda, Florida in a 'Best of Mantovani' concert, to a sold out crowd of 900+!. He's also performed Dominick Argento's "Valentino Dances" with the Charleston Symphony of South Carolina. He is a regular performer at the Florida Accordion Association SMASH, various functions of the Southeast Accordion Association, and does occasional performances at the American Accordionists' Association (AAA). Walter is an avid accordion teacher in Northwest Florida, and also does accordion repair.
