‘Accordion 5’ Classical Revolution concert, London – UKby Rob Howard |
The quintet ‘Accordion 5’ perform in a Classical Revolution series of concerts on Tuesday April 2nd, 7.30pm, at The Green Carnation, 2-4 Greek Street, Soho, London W1D 4DD. The programme includes Piazzolla - ‘Libertango’, Vivaldi – ‘Summer’ from ‘4 Seasons’, and W. Kilar – ‘Orawa’. The performance is followed at 9pm by a ‘Chamber Jam’! Classical Revolution, which began in San Francisco in 2006, is a pioneer of the approachable classical music movement, and has since spread to over 25 cities worldwide. It offers a night that’s totally different from a standard classical music concert, taking classical music out of the symphonic halls and into local venues, where the audience can chat with the performers over a beer and enjoy informal ‘jam sessions’ with some of the world’s top singers and instrumental performers. The project is not for profit, and brings together music aficionados and newbies under one roof to celebrate excellent music and brilliant performances.
