39. Internationaler Citta di Castelfidardo Festival, Castelfidardo - Italienby Holda Paoletti-Kampl |
Der XXXIX Internationale Citta di Castelfidardo Preis und Preiswettbewerb für Akkordeon- Solisten und Gruppen findet vom 18. bis 21. September in Castelfidardo, Ancona statt. Das Festival wird mit der Unterstützung der Stadtverwaltung und desPro Loco Tourismusvereins organisiert. Künstlerischer Leiter ist Roberto Lucanero (Bild links). Als Downloadin Englisch und Italienisch: 2014castelfidardo Der Wettbewerb hat Katgorien für alle Arten von Akkordeons (einschließlich der digitalen Akkordeons) und Bandoneon, für Solo-, Ensemble- und Orchester und in vielen Altersgruppen und Musikrichtungen wie Klassik, Unterhaltung, Jazz und Weltmusik. Alle Gewinner des Wettbewerbs werden in einem Konzert im Astra -Theater auftreten. Es gibt Geldpreise, Stipendien und Trophäen für die höchstplatzierten Wettbewerber. Der Anmeldeschluss ist der 24. August. Zum ersten Mal in diesem Jahr, hat diese Veranstaltung in Castelfidardo zusammen mit dem CIA italienischen Mitglied, dem IAC vereinbart, dass sich italienische Akkordeonspieler für den 2014 CIA Coupe Mondiale, der in Salzburg/Österreich vom 27. kkordeons Now! 2014 das 7. jährlichen Musikfestival von New Hampshire, gesponsert von Akkordeon Akkordeon Assoziation und LLC, findet vom 8. Bis 10. August im schönen Courtyard Nashua , New Hampshire statt. Akkordeon -Fans können für ein Wochenende musizieren, Freundschaften und festliche Mahlzeiten zusammen genießen, neben Konzerten, Workshops, open mike Nächte, Jam-Sessions, eine just-for -fun Play-Along Party und die allseits beliebten Akkordeons Now! Das Festival Orchestra wird von der Festival -Mitbegründerin und künstlerischen Leiterin Donna Maria Regis geleitet. 7. Internationaler Kompositionswettbewerb " Francisco Escudero " - Spanienby Rob Howard |
Hauspoz Euskal Herriko Akordoei Elkartea organisiert den VII. Internationalen Kompositionswettbewerb " Francisco Escudero ', die vollständigen Angaben sind jetzt verfügbar. Das Ziel des Wettbewerbs ist es, die Erstellung von Kompositionen für Solo- Akkordeon und für Akkordeon in der Kammermusik zu fördern. Download- Regeln : 2014Escudero Der Wettbewerb ist offen für Komponisten jeden Alters und jeder Nationalität. Der Wettbewerb umfasst eine einzigartige Kategorie mit Werken für Akkordeon solo komponiert ausschließlich für Kammer Musik mit Akkordeon. Die Länge sollte 10 Minuten nicht überschreiten. Die Kammermusikwerke müssen für maximal vier Spieler sein, in dem es zumindest ein Akkordeon integriert ist. Der Einsendeschluss für Beiträge ist der 5. September 2014 . "Auszeichnungen für junge Musiker" (AYM) ist die Einführung eines neuen Projektes für rund 10 talentierte junge Akkordeonisten bis zum Alter von 18 Jahren, welches am 30. März von Hester Cockcroft organisiert und von Ksenija Sidorova (Bild rechts) präsentiert wird. Eine Master-Klasse und eine öffentliche Aufführung von Ksenija Sidorova indem die AYM sich als Ziel gesetzt hat, jungen Künstlern mit außergewöhnlichen musikalischen Talenten aus nicht so gut bemittelten Familien die Möglichkeiten Musik zu studieren und somit ihr Potential zu erkennen und zu unterstüten Ablauf: - Ksenija wird eine Meisterklasse an der Royal Academy of Music, Sonntag, 30. März, 10.30 bis 13.30 Uhr. - Nachmittag öffentliche Aufführung (ca. 30 Minuten) in einer zentralen Lage in London, vielleicht am Kings Cross Bahnhof. Video above: Alma Quintet performing 'Deep Breathing' composed by Evan Harlan, who is also the accordionist on this video. Evan Harlan passed away on February 27, 2014 from a long term illness. Evan Harlan (accordian, piano, composer, and music director) has recorded and performed internationally with several jazz and world music ensembles including Dave Douglas, the Klezmer Conservatory Band and the Von Trapp Singers. His own quartet, Andromeda, played original music with the flavors of Americana, tango, gypsy, and other passionate traditions. In addition to concerts in the New England area, they were the house band for the American Repertory Theater's production of Snow in June in 2003. From 1995-2000, Harlan's group Excelsior played unorthodox arrangements of 20th century composers's works. Their CD, Declassified, was featured on WGBH radio's internationally distributed "Art of the States", WGBH/BBC's "The World", WBUR's "The Connection" and "Here and Now". Harlan was the recipient of a 2001 Massachusetts Cultural Council Artist Grant in music composition; he also scored numerous works for film, dance, and theater. In addition, he has played on the soundtracks of Sidney Lumet's A Stranger Among Us, and John Sayles's Lone Star. In 2001, he performed in the orchestra with Luciano Pavarotti at the Fleet Center in Boston, and has been featured in Hovanhess's Rubaiyat and Hindemith's Kammermusik 1. As a conductor of musical theater, he led Snow in June and Shlemeil the First at the American Repertory, and Fiorello at Brandeis University. The 17th annual NAO Northern Ireland Open Championships took place on February 22nd at the Clarion Hotel, Carrickfergus, Antrim. The organizer was Clyde Johnston (picture right), there was a record 215 entries, and the adjudicators were Ivan Black, Audrey Gillian and Sarah McEvoy. This festival is qualifier for the National Accordion Organisation of the United Kingdom (NAO) Championships, which take place at the Adelphi Hotel, Liverpool, April 25th to 27th. ‘14 Years Ago’: Accordion activities in Argentina in 2000by Rob Howard |
The Accordions Worldwide news for the week ending March 3rd 2000 reported that attempts were being made to organize fortnightly meetings for accordionists. This was being done by AIDA, the International Association of Accordionists. Are these meetings still taking place/ AIDA Plans – Argentina Contributed by Florencia Herrera President of Asociación Internacional de Acordeonistas (AIDA - International Association of Accordionists), Julio Erman (alias Gasparin) plans to organize music club meetings on the second Sunday of each month. Professional and amateur accordionists are invited to attend and perform at these meetings. The AIDA currently publish an informative booklet with news of future concerts and events in South America. Their magazine ‘El Acordeón’ unfortunately stopped publication two years ago because of financial reasons, but the association hopes to resume publication of this magazine in the near future. The association currently has about 500 members. |

Dessie Hynes, well known as MD of the band backing Foster & Allen, is one of Ireland’s leading Irish traditional players. The Indians, who feature a diatonic accordionist, have been one of Ireland’s most popular and accomplished show bands since the 1970s. |
