Le 38ème Festival de Castelfidardo a célèbré le 150ème anniversaire - Italieby Holda Paoletti-Kampl |

| Castelfidardo a clôturé le dimanche 22 septembre les brillantes célébrations du 150ème anniversaire, le festival et le concours. La ville a été “en direct” avec la planète accordéon du matin à tard chaque nuit, à travers les évènements du festival, les conférences, les expositions, les concerts et concours, constituant une suite géante d’évènements-accordéon et de concerts, spécialement durant les 4 principales journées du festival. Voir les reportages à : 2013Concorso Photo ci-dessus : le maire de Castelfidardo Mirco Soprani remerciant, lors du concert final, tous ceux qui ont aidé à faire un si grand succès de ce 38ème concours, festival et 150ème anniversaire. Le Maire a également remercié le public international, les professeurs, les parents et les candidats pour leur soutien si important. |

 Le festival 2013 Strumenti & Musica pour accordéon et piano aura lieu dans la belle ville de culture de Spoleto, du 1er au 6 octobre, et il est une suite de la si éclatante Coupe mondiale 2012 qui a eu lieu dans cette même ville, accueillie également par l’Italian Accordion Culture (IAC), membre italien de la CIA-IMC.Une importante innovation du festival 2013 est l’ajout du concours international de piano, avec les nouvelles catégories internationales "Muzio Clementi" et "Alfonso Rendano". Le concours d’accordéon démarre le le 1er octobre avec la catégorie Variété, suivront dix catégories que concluront les ensembles. Une autre importante innovation pour 2013 est l’organisation de Master-Classes au plus haut niveau, pour accordéon comme pour piano, animée par les deux grands professeurs Alexander Selivanov (Russie, accordéon) et Denis Chefanov (Russie, piano), plus des pédagogues italiens enseignant aussi bien l’accordéon que le piano. A côté des compétitions et Master classes se tiendront d’autres conférences pédagogiques et trois concerts majeurs : - Le concert des vainqueurs “accordéon” aura lieu à 21h00 le jeudi 3 octobre. - Vendredi 4 octobre sera donné le concert des participants aux master classes piano et accordéon d’Alexander Selivanov (accordéon) et Denis Chefanov (piano). - Dimanche 6 octobre à 21h00 aura lieu le concert final des vainqueurs des concours d’accordéon et de piano.  Ci-dessus une vidéo de trois concurrents qui se sont produits alors que j’assistai à cet évènement organisé par la Ville de Lanciano, président du Comité d’organisation Vladimir Zubitsky, Directeur artistique Cesare Chiacchiaretta, Directeur Elena Evtikhovich et Secrétaire du Jury, Organisateur Nikolaj Pretruk.L’évènement s’est déroulé du 25 au 30 septembre au soir et se terminait par un concert de gala. Le concours est pour tous âges, en solo (variété et classique), groupe, catégories Musique de chambre et Orchestre. De nombreux concerts étaient également prévus. Merci à Mirco Patarini, Directeur Artistique de l’Italian Accordion Culture (IAC) membre italien de la CIA, de m’avoir invité à rendre visite au festival de Lanciano. Le jury comprenait des professeurs et artistes d’ Italie, Ukraine, Russie, Tchéquie, Lithuanie, Autriche, Kazakstan, Hongrie, Pologne. The talent showcased by this year’s contestants was strong, and Roland applauds all who participated. As the U.S. Champion, Sergei advances to compete with regional winners from around the world during the 7th Roland International V-Accordion Festival, taking place in Italy on October 18 and 19, 2013.  The Accordions Worldwide news for the week ending September 24th 1999 included a report that Australian accordionist Bernadette Conlon has celebrated her 21st birthday in style with a river boat cruise featuring lots of accordion and other music. This must be a really special memory for Bernadette, now married (as Mrs Zabawa) and living in Chicago, USA. Australian Accordionist Celebrates in Style Contributed by Lyn Conlon Australian Accordion Champion Bernadette Conlon celebrated her 21st birthday in style recently on the Yarra River in Melbourne. Hiring a charter boat for four hours revelers wined and dined the night away to the sounds of the accordion. The party included 10 accordionists, several pianists and vocalists, many of whom performed items from comedy acts to accordion recitals. Among the highlights were items by Pavel Sluka, Leo Rosner (from ‘Schindlers List’ fame), Jeannette Morrish, well known Piaf impersonator Robyn Pitt Owen (Sydney), Arnold Roe, and Tracey Harvey, television's funny girl. Guests travelled from Sweden, USA, and New Zealand as well as from various parts of Australia. |

 The 5th annual The Big Squeeze festival takes place on Sunday September 29th, 10am until 4pm, at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, CA. Performing are a variety of accordion based bands and soloists playing everything from jazz and blues, rhythm and funk, to Cajun and Tex- Mex, to Latin and tango.Featured bands include Grammy nominated Lisa Haley & the Zydekats, featuring accordionist Gee Rabe, who will also perform with Porterhouse Bob and Down to the Bone, an eight piece New Orleans influenced funk and rhythm and blues group. In addition to playing, Rabe will also offer a free lesson workshop for amateur diatonic button and piano accordion players, which means those with some playing experience. Rabe will be joined by Otono Lujan, also a teacher and accordionist for the band Conjunto Los Pochos. Los Fabulocos, also performing,will play music from their Mexican-American heritage, plus Zydeco, Conjunto, and Cumbia rhythms. The highly accomplished and versatile Cory Pesaturo, recent winner of several competitions, will perform as a solo accordionist. Other soloists include Peter Robuffo, Lou Fanucchi, Gordon Kohl, and Jim Gilman. The festival also features free zydeco dance lessons, an Accordion Road Show with Jeffrey Iacono, Borsini Accordions, Accordion Apocalypse accordion and accessory sales as well as free accordion repair and rebuild tips all day by Skyler Fell, mobile rock ‘n’ roll accordionist Bryan J, gourmet food trucks and free face painting. |

| The Kilfenora Ceili Band perform in concert at The Lime Tree Theatre, Mary Immaculate College, Limerick, on Sunday September 29th, 8pm, at the Cos Cos Festival in Rathcormack, County Sligo. Founded in County Clare in 1909, the Kilfenora Ceili Band are the longest established ceili band in Ireland.
