| Die Stadt Castelfidardo Stadt beendete am Sonntag 22. September ein sehr erfolgreiches 150jähriges Jubiläum, Festival und Wettbewerbe. Die Stadt war "lebendig" mit Akkordeon Aktivitäten von morgens bis spät hinein in jede Nacht, mit Festival-Veranstaltungen, Seminare, Displays, Konzerte und Wettbewerbe. Eine riesige Auswahl an spannenden Events mit Akkordeon und ausgezeichneten Konzerten, vor allem während der 4 wichtigsten Tage des Festivals. Sehen Sie sich die Reports unter: 2013Concorso Bild oben: der Bürgermeister von Castelfidardo Mirco Soprani dankt während des Abschlusskonzertes allen, die den 38. Castelfidardo Wettbewerb & Festival sowie die 150jährige Akkordeonproduktion der Stadt zu einem solchen Erfolg werden ließen. Bürgermeister Soprani dankte auch dem internationalen Publikum, Lehrer, Eltern, Schülern für ihre wichtigste Unterstützung. |

 Das 2013 Strumenti & Musica Festival für Akkordeon und Klavier findet in der schönen Kulturstadt Spoleto, vom 01 bis 06 Oktober statt und folgt somit auf das sehr erfolgreiche Jahr 2012 indem der Internationale Coupe Mondiale in Spoleto durchgeführt wurde und auch von dem italienischen Kultur Akkordeon Club (IAC) veranstaltet wurde.Eine wichtige Neuerung des 2013-Festivals sind die zusätzlichen internationalen Klavier-Wettbewerbe, mit den neuen internationalen Klavier Kategorien "Muzio Clementi" und "Alfonso Rendano". Die Akkordeon Wettbewerbe beginnen am 1. Oktober mit der Virtuoso Unterhaltungsmusik und endet mit der Kategorie Ensembles. Weiters gibt es erstmals im Jahr 2013 Meisterkurse auf höchstem Niveau, sowohl für Akkordeon und Klavier, von den wichtigen Tutoren wie Alexander Selivanov (Russland, Akkordeon) und Denis Chefanov (Russland, Klavier) sowie Tutoren aus Italien, die fast alle beide Musikinstrumente Klavier und Akkordeon unterrichten. Neben den Wettbewerben und Meisterkursen gibt es auch andere pädagogische Seminare sowie drei große Konzerte. - Das Akkordeon Gewinner Konzert findet am Donnerstag, den 3. Oktober um 21h statt. - Am Freitag, 4. Oktober ist das Konzert der Klavier und Akkordeon Studenten, die an den Meisterkursen mit Tutoren Alexander Selivanov (Akkordeon) und Denis Chefanov (Klavier) teilgenommen haben. - Am Sonntag, den 6. Oktober, um 21.00 Uhr ist das Abschlusskonzert der Preisträger der Wettbewerbe sowohl Akkordeon und Klavier. Der vollständige Zeitplan ist: |

XXIII Lanciano Internationaler Wettbewerb für Akkordeon Solo und Ensemble - Italienby Harley Jones |
 Oben: Video von drei Teilnehmern, während ich der Veranstaltung beiwohnte.Der Wettbewerb wird von der Stadt Lanciano unter dem Ausschuss des Präsidenten Wladimir Zubitsky, dem künstlerischerischen Leiter Cesare Chiacchiaretta, Director Elena Evtikhovich und Juryvorstitz Nikolaj Pretruk, organisiert. Die Veranstaltung läuft vom 25. September - 30. SEPTEMBER und endet mit einem Gala-Konzert. Die Wettbewerbe sind für alle Altersgruppen, solo (variete und Klassik), Gruppen, Kammermusik und Orchester Kategorien plus vieler Konzerte während des Festivals. Dank Mirco Patarini, künstlerischer Leiter des italienischen Akkordeon Kultur Klubs und (IAC) italienisches Mitglied der CIA, hatte ich die Gelegenheit das Lanciano Festival zu besuchen. Der Jury gehörten Professoren und Künstlern aus Italien, Ukraine, Russland, Tschechien, Litauen, Österreich, Kasachstan, Ungarn, Polen an. Los Angeles, CA, September 20, 2013 - Roland Corporation U.S. is pleased to announce that Sergei Teleshev of Eugene, Oregon is the winner of the 2013 Roland U.S. V-Accordion Festival. The talent showcased by this year’s contestants was strong, and Roland applauds all who participated. As the U.S. Champion, Sergei advances to compete with regional winners from around the world during the 7th Roland International V-Accordion Festival, taking place in Italy on October 18 and 19, 2013. Sergei also received two prizes: a new FR-8x, Roland’s latest flagship V-Accordion, and a trip to the International festival in Rome. |

 The Accordions Worldwide news for the week ending September 24th 1999 included a report that Australian accordionist Bernadette Conlon has celebrated her 21st birthday in style with a river boat cruise featuring lots of accordion and other music. This must be a really special memory for Bernadette, now married (as Mrs Zabawa) and living in Chicago, USA. Australian Accordionist Celebrates in Style Contributed by Lyn Conlon Australian Accordion Champion Bernadette Conlon celebrated her 21st birthday in style recently on the Yarra River in Melbourne. Hiring a charter boat for four hours revelers wined and dined the night away to the sounds of the accordion. The party included 10 accordionists, several pianists and vocalists, many of whom performed items from comedy acts to accordion recitals. Among the highlights were items by Pavel Sluka, Leo Rosner (from ‘Schindlers List’ fame), Jeannette Morrish, well known Piaf impersonator Robyn Pitt Owen (Sydney), Arnold Roe, and Tracey Harvey, television's funny girl. Guests travelled from Sweden, USA, and New Zealand as well as from various parts of Australia. |

 The 5th annual The Big Squeeze festival takes place on Sunday September 29th, 10am until 4pm, at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, CA. Performing are a variety of accordion based bands and soloists playing everything from jazz and blues, rhythm and funk, to Cajun and Tex- Mex, to Latin and tango.Featured bands include Grammy nominated Lisa Haley & the Zydekats, featuring accordionist Gee Rabe, who will also perform with Porterhouse Bob and Down to the Bone, an eight piece New Orleans influenced funk and rhythm and blues group. In addition to playing, Rabe will also offer a free lesson workshop for amateur diatonic button and piano accordion players, which means those with some playing experience. Rabe will be joined by Otono Lujan, also a teacher and accordionist for the band Conjunto Los Pochos. Los Fabulocos, also performing,will play music from their Mexican-American heritage, plus Zydeco, Conjunto, and Cumbia rhythms. The highly accomplished and versatile Cory Pesaturo, recent winner of several competitions, will perform as a solo accordionist. Other soloists include Peter Robuffo, Lou Fanucchi, Gordon Kohl, and Jim Gilman. The festival also features free zydeco dance lessons, an Accordion Road Show with Jeffrey Iacono, Borsini Accordions, Accordion Apocalypse accordion and accessory sales as well as free accordion repair and rebuild tips all day by Skyler Fell, mobile rock ‘n’ roll accordionist Bryan J, gourmet food trucks and free face painting. |

| The Kilfenora Ceili Band perform in concert at The Lime Tree Theatre, Mary Immaculate College, Limerick, on Sunday September 29th, 8pm, at the Cos Cos Festival in Rathcormack, County Sligo. Founded in County Clare in 1909, the Kilfenora Ceili Band are the longest established ceili band in Ireland. The popular Beltango Quintet led by Aleksandar Nikolic (bandoneon, accordion), will provide the music and this year for the 10th anniversary, the organisers announce the participation of influential dancers, teachers, musicians and DJ’s who have contributed to the development of the Tango culture.
