 Friedl PreislDas 24. Internationale Akkordeon Festival wird vom 25. Februar bis 26. März 2023 in Wien, Österreich, stattfinden. Organisiert wird es von Friedl Preisl (Bild rechts), der das Festival von Anfang an geleitet hat und nun von Franziska Hatz unterstützt wird.Die Veranstaltung umfasst mehr als 40 Konzerte mit Solisten und Gruppen aus Österreich, Deutschland, Frankreich, Dänemark, dem Nahen Osten, Asien und Slowenien, die Konzerte, Stummfilme, Comedy, Workshops und Tanz darbieten.   Video: Guardia Nueva, Direktor Raimo Vertainen, Auftritt bei ihrem 20-jährigen Jubiläumskonzert in der Kokkola-Eishalle in Finnland im Jahr 2022.Das XXV Kokkolan Winter Accordion Festival 2023 wird vom 10. bis 18. Februar 2023 in Kokkola, Zentralösterbotten, Finnland stattfinden. Das Eröffnungskonzert findet im Musiikkitalo (Musikhaus) in Helsinki statt und wird vom Trio Fratres (Bild rechts) mit einer Feier ihrer Musik eröffnet. Ihr Programm umfasst finnische Musik, Barockmusik, russische Romantik und Techno. Das Konzert umfasst Originalwerke, die von vier verschiedenen Akkordeontrios in Zusammenarbeit mit Musikakademien in Dänemark, Lettland und Finnland interpretiert werden. Unten abgebildet: Das Trio UnSeen (Litauen) besteht aus Edgaras Dicpinigaitis, Ruslan Grimbovsky und Matas Sabaliauskas. Das Trio Femella (Dänemark) besteht aus Romena Lengvinaite, Amalie Ravnsbæk und Ditte Lykke Hansen. Das Trio Acctron (Finnland) besteht aus Leonardo Rojnic, Pilvi Huhta und Kiia-Maria Piispa. Das Bare(ly) Trio (Finnland) besteht aus Sonja Vertainen, Minna Ristamäki und Sini Ström. Am 17. Februar wird Richard Galliano auftreten und am 18. Februar wird das Orchester Guardia Nueva unter der Leitung von Raimo Vertainen mit den Gastsängern Pentti Hietanen und Jepa Lambert auftreten. März 2023 um 20.15 Uhr in der Amstelkerk (Amstelkirche) in Amsterdam, Niederlande, ein Konzert mit dem Titel "High Voltage" geben. Das Konzert ist Teil der neuen Black-Pencil-Konzertreihe "Sit Fast" und beinhaltet eine "Auswahl der besten Musik aus ihrem zeitgenössischen Repertoire, bei der sich verschiedene Charaktere abwechseln und ergänzen".  The Deutsche Harmonika-Verband (DHV) will hold their 2023 DHV Congress under the motto “Shaping the Future Together”, which will take place from April 21st to 23rd, 2023 in Hesse, Germany.The congress will include “workshops and impulse seminars, where experienced practitioners and coaches give insights into their wealth of experience and possible approaches to action. Here, the participants can exchange ideas on how to make their own clubs fit for the future, how to tackle the recruitment of members and young talent, and which new forms of performance practice are suitable for addressing new target groups.” Registrations close on February 20th, 2023. The event was presented by violinist Václav Hudecek, who has been cooperating with young talents for a long time and performed with the accordionists and other young players (picture below). |

  Unter obigem Motto fand das Konzert der Akkordeonklasse Prof. Grzegorz Stopa an der Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität Wien im Ehrbar-Saal (bekannt durch das Wirken von Johannes Brahms) statt. „Erstmals findet sich im Programm eines Klassenabends kein Werk von J.S. Bach!“. Diese Ankündigung von Prof. Stopa charakterisiert wohl am besten die Entwicklung des Akkordeon-Repertoires. Die vielfältigen Akkordeonklänge im Solo- und Duospiel sowie kammermusikalisch verliehen dem ehrwürdigen Saal mit großer musikhistorischer Vergangenheit getreu dem Motto des Abends neue Frische!Der ungarische Komponist und Saxophonist Theodor Burkali arbeitete unter anderem für das Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, das Wiener Konzerthaus und die Queens Hall in Edinburgh. In seinem „SaxAccordia“ für Saxophon (Yuhi Kagami) und Akkordeon (Jingyang Wang) bringt er die Klangmöglichkeiten beider Instrumente effektvoll zur Geltung. Der Komponist Oliver Uszynski trat bei der Aufführung seines „Draculas Inverse Tango“ neben der Akkordeonistin Yilin Han und der Percussionistin Laura Gutiérrez Corredo auch als Klarinettist in Erscheinung. Er erhielt bereits mehrere Auszeichnungen, u. a. war er siebenfacher Preisträger beim Wettbewerb Jugend komponiert und wurde für die Musiktheatertage Wien nominiert; als Klarinettist war er Preisträger der Rising Star International Competition. Clavecin-Musik von Domenico Scarlatti sowie Jean-Philippe Rameau gehört inzwischen bereits zum klassischen Akkordeon-Repertoire und wird auf diesem Instrument notengetreu gespielt. Liang Shi interpretierte gekonnt die Sonate g-moll K. 450 und Marija Antunovic überzeugte nach „La Villageoise“ besonders mit einem lebhaften Vogelgezwitscher „Le rappel des oiseaux“. In Anwesenheit des Komponisten Marius Binder erlebte sein „Furunkel II“ die österreichische Erstaufführung durch Piotr Motyka. Als Gewinner des letztjährigen Arrasate-Wettbewerbs war er auf eine Konzerttour in Spanien eingeladen, wo das Stück seine Uraufführung erfuhr. Werke von Marius Binder wurden u. a. bei Wien Modern, den Musiktheatertagen Wien, im Marius Siegfried Binder Musikforum Viktring und beim Carinthischen Sommer aufgeführt. Zum Abschluss des ersten Teils zeigte Sophie Herzog eine mitreißende Darbietung von „Il Salterello Romano“ von Fany Hensel-Mendelssohn, einer künstlerischen Adaption des italienischen Tanzes Salterello in virtuoser Manier. In Anwesenheit des Komponisten Ole Hübner erlebte „gestalt und zersetzung“ seine meisterhafte Uraufführung durch die Akkordeonistin Elisabeth Muller. Hübner zeigt in seinen Werken besonderes Interesse an den Interferenzen zwischen Klang, Performance und Raum. Als prinzipiell offener Raum für künstlerisches Handeln und Experimentieren hat für ihn „Theater“ eine sehr große Bedeutung. Wenn es im Programm schon kein Werk von J.S. Bach gab, so durfte wenigstens ein „Präludium und Fuge“ nicht fehlen. Dieses Mal in As-Dur Nr. 17 Op. 87 des russischen Komponisten Dmitri Schostakowitsch in der Interpretation von Sophie Herzog, die einmal mehr durch ihre exquisite Klangbildung überzeugte. Die Komponistin Jean Beers adaptierte ihre Fantaisie-Toccata „I Schizophrenie, wie gesagt“ aus dem „Bulgakov Klavierzyklus“ für Akkordeon, womit sie dem polnischen Künstler Piotr Motyka die Möglichkeit gab, erneut seine besonderen Fähigkeiten auf dem Instrument zu zeigen. Motyka brillierte auch in Thomas Kesslers „Lufttore“ für Saxophon und Akkordeon zusammen mit dem Saxophonisten Yingshuo Ma. Respighis „Valse caressante“ (Shuoqi Qiao), Mendelssohns Scherzo aus „Ein Sommernachtstraum“ (Yilin Han) sowie Yuankai Baos „You guess what flower is it“ aus „Chinese sights and sounds“ (Duo Marija Antunovic und Yilin Han) rundeten den Abend ab und entließen das Publikum in eine verträumte Winternacht. |

 Das 2023 Accordionists & Teachers Guild, International (ATG) Festival wird vom 19. bis 22. Juli 2023 im Lisle Hyatt in Lisle, Illinois, USA, stattfinden. ATG-Präsidentin Mary Ann Covone begrüßt Akkordeon-Enthusiasten aus der ganzen Welt.Die Konzerte der Veranstaltung finden im Armerding Center for Performing Arts auf dem Campus des Wheaton College statt.  Am 1. Januar 2023 wurde Frank Busso Jr. zum Präsidenten der American Accordionists' Association (AAA) für die Jahre 2023-2025 gewählt.Frank Busso Jr. gehört dem Vorstand der AAA seit 2007 an und ist seit 2021 der zweite Vizepräsident der Organisation. Er ist Direktor der Ernest Deffner Affiliates, zu deren Marken Titano, Pancordion, Pigini, Excelsior, Roland und Hohner gehören. Frank ist Akkordeonist der United States Air Force Band in Washington, DC und leitet die Busso Music School in Alexandria, VA. Er erwarb einen Bachelor of Science in Betriebswirtschaft an der Boston University und arbeitete später als Ausbilder und Arrangeur für die Boston University Athletic Bands. Frank Busso studierte Akkordeon bei Frank Busso Sr. an der Staten Island Music School in New York und wurde dort schließlich Lehrer, wo seine Schüler viele regionale und nationale Wettbewerbstitel errangen. |
