| Am Montag, den 22. Juni 2009 feierte die Matth. Hohner AG Ihr 100 jähriges Bestehen. Gerade in Zeiten der Weltwirtschaftskrise sticht ein solches Jubiläum besonders positiv hervor und lockte zahlreiche Vertreter und Ehrengäste aus Wirtschaft, Politik und Presse an. Photos Trossingen 100 years. Seit 1857 gibt es Hohner, seit 1909 die Aktiengesellschaft. Erfahren Sie mehr über Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und Zukunft des traditionsreichen deutschen Instrumentenbauers. 1909 war die Schaffung einer Aktiengesellschaft im Mittelstand eine unternehmerische Innovation. Nicht so im schwäbischen Trossingen. Dort, 50 Jahre nach Gründung des Unternehmens Hohner, hielt der Fortschritt nicht nur in Sachen Innovationen und Marketing Einzug. So erkannte man früh den Bedarf, eine neue, betriebswirtschaftliche Struktur einzuführen. Am 22. Juni 1909 war es dann soweit und die Umwandlung der Firma Matthias Hohner in eine Aktiengesellschaft wurde im Handelsregister des Oberamtsbezirks Spaichingen eingetragen. Heute sind die Aktien mehrheitlich im Besitzt der HS Investment Group Inc., British Virgin Islands. Die Matth. Hohner AG ist eine Holdinggesellschaft unter deren Dach fünf Unternehmen firmieren. Das sind die zwei deutsche Firmen: die Hohner Musikinstrumente GmbH & Co. KG in Trossingen und die Sonor GmbH & Co. KG in Bad Berleburg entwickeln, produzieren und vermarkten Produkte unter den Marken Hohner und Sonor weltweit. Des weiteren gehören drei Vertriebsniederlassungen zum Unternehmen, die Hohner Inc. in USA, die Hohner SA, in Frankreich sowie die Hohner-Sonor AG in der Schweiz zum Unternehmen. Ergänzt wird das Portfolio durch die Beteiligung am Hohner Konservatorium in Trossingen und die Hohner Lansheng, Ltd. in Shanghai. Photos Trossingen 100 years. |

 Der AAA -Wettbewerb und das Festival umfasst Wettbewerbe, Workshops, Konzerte und kommerzielle Ausstellungen. In diesem Jahr sind foglende Künstler zu Gast: Tony Lovello, Joey Miskulin und Riders in the Sky, Joe Natoli, Mary Tokarski, Bruce Gassman, Jeff Lisenby und die NashVegas Jazzartisten. Die Wettbewerbe sind "Ein Tribute an den König - Elvis Presley Kategorie ',' AAA Digital / Electronic Entertainment International Competition", "International Piano Competition Akkordeon", "Maddalena Belfiore Entertainment-Wettbewerb für Akkordeonistinnen", und der "Vivian Vivio Spolaruk Internationale Entertainment Wettbewerb ". Mit im Programm die Standard-AAA Annual Festival Wettbewerbe. Das 2009 Festival Orchester unter der Leitung von Randy Martin, gibt am Freitag, 17. Juli, 12 Uhr ein Sonder-Konzert.  Am 26 Mai 1829 wurde dem Wiener Orgelbauer Cyrill Demian das k&k Patent für das erste spielbare Akkordeon verliehen.Das Akkordeon ist eine österreichische Erfindung, die rasch ihren Siegeszug um die Welt antrat, und heute nach 180 Jahren noch immer die Musikwelt bereichert. Hannes Thanheiser, Schauspieler, Musiker und Sammler aus Leidenschaft, eröffnete in Melk NÖ, Sterngasse 19, am 18. Juni 2009 das 1. Akkordeon Museum in Österreich und macht so seine umfangreiche Sammlung einem breiten Publikum zugänglich. Zu sehen sind Raritäten, Kostbarkeiten und Kuriositäten von 1860 bis in die Jetztzeit.  Last Night of the Proms - 2009 is a very popular annual two concert series featuring popular British music performed by the Auckland Symphony Orchestra conducted by Gary Daverne ONZM, the North Shore 100 Voice Chorale and Friends conducted by Peter Thomas and special guest celebritities. Special accordion guest for 2009 was Tracey Collins accordionist. Tracey next performs with the Auckland Symphony Orchestra at the 2009 Coupe Mondiale Opening Concert. Proms photo report 2009. |

| ‘Northern Box’ is accordionist Dean Warner’s first solo CD, and is a splendidly performed collection of Irish dance music. He is joined on the recording by Ryan Molloy - piano, Michael Harrison - fiddle, Daire McGeown – banjo, and Fintan McManus - bouzouki. Dean Warner, born in Leeds, England, a city steeped in a strong tradition of Irish traditional music, has been playing the piano accordion from the age of eight. It was through his association with Leeds Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann that he developed a deep passion for ‘the music’. In 2001 Dean moved to Northern Ireland and now lives near Lurgan, County Armagh. He won the All Ireland Senior Piano Accordion title in Letterkenny (2005), and toured with Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann throughout Ireland (2006), Britain (2007), and the USA/Canada (2007). He also performed at the Asturias Music Festival, Spain (2006), and the Shetland Accordion and Fiddle Festival (2008). | For 5 years Friedl Preisl has led the world music stage at the Danube Island Festival, and now this festival belongs to history due to the economic crisis – losing its sponsorship at a late stage, and with a program already organised long ago. This is just one of many reasons why Friedl Preisl does not want to accept defeat, and with his world music scene shortly moving into "exile" without funds, has as an alternative organised two concerts at the Porgy & Bess, Vienna. On June 27th, 9pm, the concert is titled ‘Girls, Girls, Girls’, with Özlem Bulut & Kehoha, Tiptons Sax Quartet & Drums, and Ljubinka Jokic & Yok. The concert on the 28th is ‘Klexmer and Roma Music’, featuring Klezmer Reloaded, The Other Europeans, Klezmer Music Project, Lautari Music Project, and the Amsterdam Klezmer Band. | Jean Louis Noton was invited on Sunday 21 June to the concert in Jouy (Eure-et-Loire). The first part was dedicated to the students of Brigitte Moreau, professor for piano, accordion and electric organ of the Association of l’Espace Musical de Jouy. Many young talented future artists performing compositions for accordion and keyboard, individually and also together with the Orchestra of l’Espace Musical de Jouy. Jean Louis Noton animated the second part of the concert performing also a piece together with the students. The morning after was dedicated in “exploring the digital accordion” which was a lot of fun for the young students. |

There will be a special guest performance from Thom Hardaker (Rimsky Korsakov Conservatory, St. Petersburg). The concert takes place at Skipton Town Hall, North Yorkshire. |

| Konzertabend der Akkordeonklasse von Mirjana Petercol und Gästen, am Donnerstag, den 02.07.2009 um 20 Uhr in der Caligari Filmbühne, Marktplatz 9, Wiesbaden. Unten dem Motto: "Musica Leggiera" - ein Querzug der diversen Akkordeongenres: von bulgarischem und südamerikanischem Folklore zu den Tangos, von jazzigen Klängen alla Brübeck über Brecht/Weill Chansons bis zu perlenden Musset-Triolentiraden... obwohl leichtere Muse - es erwartet die Gàste ein Konzertabend der höchsten Ansprüche - mit einem verschmitzten Lächeln und Zwinkern in den Augen... Im Aschluss an das Konzert (ca. 21 Uhr) startet der spannende Film "Accordion Tribe". Als der amerikanische Akkordeonist Guy Klucevsek mit vier weiteren renomierten Instrumentalisten Kollegen(Lars Hollmer, Maria Kalaniemi, Bratko Bibic und Otto Lechner) den "Accordion Tribe " die Tourneetruppe zusammenstellte, formierte er ein Ensemble der Superlative. Die fünf eingenwilligen Musiker sind Garant für Melodieseligkeit, Melancholie sowie suchende Klänge und gemeinsam verwandeln sie das Akkordeon in ein Kraftwerk der Gefühle. Die hoch frequentierte Tournee wurde von dem Schweizer Filmemacher Stefan Schwietert dokumentiert: so enstand ein faszinierendes Porträt der Musiker und ihrer Liebe zu unserem Instrument Akkordeon, ein Road-Movie durch die Welt der Klänge, Musikkulturen und kleine Geschichten. Eine Freude für Mirjana diesen einfühlsamen und spannenden Akkordeonabend in der Caligari- Filmbühne inszenieren zu dürfen, was in 1926 als Stummfilmtheater im neogotischen Stil erbaut wurde. In den ´80-ger Jahren eröffnete hier das Deutsche Filminstitut sein "Archivkino" Programm (daher auch der Name "Das Kabinet des Dr.Caligari" dem bedeutendsten Werk des expresionistischen Stummfilm aus d.
