  Plans are well underway for the 2024 77th Coupe Mondiale being held from 3-10 September 2024 in Castelfidardo and Loreto, Italy. The event will be hosted by the CIA member, Italian Accordion Culture.CIA Secretary General Kimmo Mattila announces that the closing date for the 2024 Coupe Mondiale entries is July 31, 2024. All entry information is online at: Coupe Mondiale Online entries at: 2024CM-Rules Direct link to entry system: https://entry.coupemondiale.org/ Hotel information at: 2024CM-Hotel CIA President Mirco Patarini wrote: "On behalf of the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) we welcome you to the 77th Coupe Mondiale and the 152nd CIA International General Assembly of Delegates Congress in Castelfidardo and Loreto, Italy." Also closing July 31, 2024 is the registrations of CIA delegates and jury members. After that date the CIA Music Committee will compile the jury panels for the Coupe Mondiale categories. The exact schedule for each category is prepared, depending upon the entries. Federica Celesti, Italian Accordion Culture, Administrator and 2024 CIA Honorary Vice President, invites you to Castelfidardo, the famous Italian City “Home of the Accordion”. Italian Accordion Culture, hosted the Coupe Mondiale in 2012 (Spoleto) and 2017 (Osimo) and we are sure you will enjoy returning to Italy for a magnificent 77th Anniversary Coupe Mondiale event. | The 30th Accordion Festival Palanga 2024 will be held at the St. Vainiunas Art School, M. Marija's Church of the Assumption and the Palanga Kurhaus Hall in Palanga, Lithuania from August 3rd to 7th, 2024. The Artistic Director of the festival is Prof. Raimondas Sviackevicius and the Project Manager is Prof. Ricardas Sviackevicius. | Video: “Tango Frenetico” by Joe Natoli. This is the winning composition for the American Accordionists' Association 2024 Elsie M. Bennett composition competition. Joe Natoli shares, “Very happy and grateful to have been chosen the winning entry for the 2024 Elsie M. Bennett composition competition announced by the American Accordionists' Association (AAA) at their annual festival near Philadelphia, PA last week. My composition is called "Tango Frenetico" and I am performing on this recording. Many thanks to the AAA and the judges for this award and for an amazing festival.” Elsie Bennett established the AAA Composers’ Commissioning Committee in 1954. As its permanent chair, she succeeded over the remainder of the century up to a short time before her death in 2005, in commissioning 55 works from 33 composers, many of whom were world famous. Bennett Composition Competition, Joseph Natoli was a featured performer and workshop presenter at the 2024 86th AAA Festival in West Conshohocken, held from July 12 - 14, 2024. AAA President Frank Busso Jr. shares, “No stranger to the AAA, Joe Natoli has been a performer, composer, arranger, and advocate of the accordion since age seven.” Joe is the co-founder and director of GR8 Ideas, an organization dedicated to the dissemination of knowledge of digital accordions and digital peripherals via its web page as well as its accompanying GR8 Ideas Facebook page.  In France, CNIMA alumni, Félicien Brut has become "The First Accordion Ambassador" in the classical music world. (Le Figaro). CNIMA, directed by Nathalie Boucheix, is a renowned international accordion school teaching workshops and full year trainings. From August 12th to 17th 2024, Félicien Brut will teach two workshops simultaneously there. Workshop 1: "Build your own Artistic Project" for solo accordionists or accordionists and ensembles (intermediate and pro levels, all ages). Workshop 2: "All Style" Accordion Workshop (all levels, all ages) "Grab this unique opportunity to study at a very affordable rate with a visionary, prolific, well rounded accordion player. | Accordionist and composer, Zoe Tiganouria performed at the 2024 Koroni Arts Festival, held in Eleistria, Koroni, Greece on July 24th, 2024. Zoe performed a program entitled “From Classical to World Traditional Music” with guest percussionist Stelios Generalis, featuring pieces from her personal discography (20 albums) which includes well-known favorite compositions of hers and composers from Europe and America: Nikos Skalkotas, Dmitri Shostakovich, Goran Bregovic, Mariano Mores, A. G. Villoldo, Carlos Gardel, Mikis Theodorakis, as well as favorite traditional melodies from all over Greece. |

| The “RE! Tango Cuarteto” (Poland) tango group will perform at a tango evening at Alte Seilerei in Frankfurt am Main, Germany on July 28th, 2024 from 4pm organised by OrgaTeam La Cuerda Frankfurt. Their repertoire includes favorite pieces from tango dancers from all over the world. The group includes Pawel A. Nowak (bandoneon), Lukasz Perucki (violin), Pawel Zawada (piano) and Sebastian Wyszynski (double bass). |

| The 2024 Music Week will be held at the Hotel Allegro in Einsiedeln, Switzerland from August 3rd to 7th, 2024, under the motto “Walt Disney”, organised by accordeon.ch with the musical direction of Elfi Künzle. The main goal of the event is to rehearse and present various works by accordion orchestra. A final concert will be held at the Hotel Allegro on August 7th at 2pm. |

| “The Kugels” will hold a fundraising concert at the Breaker Bay Community Hall in Breaker Bay, Wellington, New Zealand on August 17th, 2024 at 5pm. The event aims to raise funds for the community hall. “The Kugels” are a Wellington based klezmer band that specializes in a mixture of ancient traditional tunes and freshly composed ones by the band’s accordionist Ross Harris.
