 La 57ième compétition internationale d’accordéon 2020 se tiendra du 3 au 9 mai à Klingenthal, en Allemagne. Les accordéonistes de toutes les nationalités et de tous les pays sont invités à participer. La compétition comprend des catégories solistes, duos, trios et groupes. Cette compétition a pour but de promouvoir les accordéonistes solistes de tout âge, la musique pour accordéon pour solistes et groupes, les accordéonistes solistes accompagnés d’orchestre symphonique, la musique de chambre pour d’accordéon, et les compositions pour l’accordéon. Les organisateurs travaillent en étroite collaboration avec des artistes de renom, enseignants de musique, compositeurs, chefs d’orchestre et musicologues ainsi qu’avec l’association allemande d’harmonica, l’association des professeurs d’accordéon d’Allemagne, l’association de tourisme Vogtland et le syndicat international des accordéonistes de concert.  Les inscriptions sont maintenant ouvertes pour le congrès de la National Accordion Association (NAA) qui se tiendra au, au Nord de Dallas au Texas du 18 au 21 mars 2020, sous l’égide de la NAA, dirigé par son président Norman Seaton (photo à gauche). Le thème de l’année est : « du classique au folk – Le monde de l’accordéon ». L’ouverture du congrès aura lieu le 18 mars au soir avec des répétitions d’orchestre et l’opportunité de se rencontrer. Il y’aura les 4 orchestres suivants : - Matthias Matzke (Allemagne) dirigera l’orchestre symphonique. - Dick Albreski (OK) avec la Fun Band - Shelia Lee (TX) avec la Dance Band - Sam Falcetti (MA) dirigera le Digital Orchestra (pour la première fois cette année) Il y’aura des concerts chaque soir, notamment un concert intitulé « “Le vieux monde – musique classique et folk “ avec en invités Tutto-a-Dio (accordéon & violon alto), “Americana” avec la Fun Band, Richard Noel, Ginny Mac et un invité surprise d’Australie ; une soirée dansante lancée par Shelia Lee et la Dance Band suivis de nombreux artistes qui mettront le feu à la piste de danse. Le concert de samedi soir inclura des prestations solos de Gary Blair, Cory Pesaturo et Mathias Matzke. Clôture des inscriptions le 1er mars 2020.  Oleg Sharov (President du Comité de la Compétition Internationale de Zhongsin, photo ci-dessus) et Grayson Masefield (photo ci-dessous) ont joué et présidé au jury à la grande Compétition Internationale de Musique de Zhongsin.La 1ère Compétition Internationale de Musique de Zhongsin s’est tenue à Singapoure en 2007. Elle a pour objectif d’être parmi les compétitions les plus professionnelles des compétitions internationales de musique et est largement soutenue par le National Arts Council de Singapour et la Singapore Chinese Music Association. Les compétitions comprennent des préliminaires et des finales. Il y’a 50 000 inscrits aux préliminaires et cette année plus de 800 finalistes sont venus à Singapour des USA, de la Suède, du Canada, du Japon, de Singapoure, de la Corée du Sud, de la Chine, de la Malaisie, de l’Inde, de l’Indonésie et de la Russie. Xia Gang (photo à gauche) est le fondateur et le secrétaire général du comité de la Compétition Internationale de Zhongsin, professeur associé au conservatoire du musique de Sichuan, membre senior de la China Accordion Association (CAA) de l’association des musiciens de Chine. Les compétitions se font dans de nombreux instruments : - Piano - Instruments chinois folkloriques : Guzheng, Ruan, Pipa, Yangqin, Erhu, Bamboo Flute - Instruments à claviers : Accordéon, organe électrique, piano électrique - instruments à corde : Violin, Violon alto, violoncelle, Contrabasse - Guitare : guitar classique, guitare fingerstyle - Instruments à vent : hautbois, flute, clarinette, basson, saxophone, cornet, trompette, trombone, flute à bec. - Percussion : batterie jazz ; percussions musique du monde - Voix Oleg Sharov et Grayson Masefield ont joué au concert de gala et remise des prix parmi vainqueurs du prix et jurés internationaux célèbres dont le compositeur pop Eric Ng haut dans les charts et le pianiste de concert Miroslav Kultyshev, président du jury et vainqueur à la compétition Tchaikovsky.  La National Accordion Organisation de Grande Bretagne (NAO) présentera son festival d’accordéon 2020 à l’hotel Adelphi de Liverpool du 24 au 26 avril. En plus des compétitions, auront lieu les Qualifications de la CIA pour la 73ième Coupe Mondiale (CIA) qui se tiendra à Algarve au Portugal, ainsi que les qualifications pour la compétition nationale des compositeurs de la NAO. Cette compétition est pour les compositions tout style à l’accordéon : du classique, au blues et Jazz pour groupe de tout âge, à condition que cela ne soit pas des arrangements de morceaux déjà publiés. Des compétitions par secteur ont débuté fin 2019 et auront lieu jusqu’à mars. Les compétiteurs sélectionnés représenteront leur secteur au festival.  A new initiative by influential Prof. Wang Hongyu (picture left), Art Director, Harbin Summer International Accordion Art Week, has been initiated for the 35th China Harbin international competitions.Named the "New Composition Group" category, competitors are required to select one or two compositions composed for accordion, their own choice. Competitors are also required to perform one of the six new compositions listed online. Compositions by Franck Angelis, Li Bochan, Gorka Hermosa, Petri Makkonen, Volodymyr Runchak, and Changjun Xu. This competition has no age limit and will be held in one round. Performances must not exceed 25 minutes.  A tribute to Marcel Azzola (picture left) concert will be held at the Conservatoire de Nice (Nice Conservatory) in Nice, France on January 31st at 6.30pm. Marcel Azzola one of France’s most famous accordionists, passed away peacefully last year on January 21st, 2019 at the age of 91. | The 5th Open All-Russian Competition of Young Artists on Folk Instruments named after V.V. Sznamensky, will be held from February 5th to 9th, 2020 at the Ural State Conservatory named after M.P. Mussorgsky in Yekaterinburg, Russia. The competition will include a variety of categories (from junior up to senior) for folk instruments including the accordion.  Accordionist Geoff Berner (picture left) will tour Canada next month with the Bird City folk group to launch his latest album Grand Hotel Cosmopolis. The video above is the title song that Geoff Berner wrote for the Grand Hotel Cosmopolis - a social justice project that houses refugees and asylum seekers in Augsburg, Germany. | Registrations are now being accepted for the 30th American Accordion Musicological Society Festival held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Cherry Hill, New Jersey on March 6th and 7th, 2020. The event will include an honoree banquet with MC Manny Bobenreith, and will feature guest of honor Joan Cochran Sommers. The festival will also include workshops by Joan Sommers, Joe Natoli and Al Terzo, and 2 x festival orchestras directed by guest conductors Dee Langley and festival honoree Joan Sommers. Workshop topics are: 1. Really Useful Technique to be Mastered in Pieces Instead of Exercises! and The Importance of Sight-Reading Skills! Presented by Joan C. Sommers. (AATA) will hold their annual International Accordion Championships at Club Marconi in Sydney, NSW on 25th and 26th July, 2020.Organised by Tatjana Marx (picture left), the event will include competitions for soloists, duos and groups in a variety of age groups. The International Pacific Piano Accordion Championship classes are open to contestants from the following countries or territories: Philippines, New Caledonia, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Guam, Vietnam, Kampuchea, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Canada, USA, Mexico, Panama, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, New Zealand and all South Pacific nations and territories.  Que faites vous la Journée de l’accordéon (World Accordion Day - WAD) pour promovoir l’accordéon dans votre pays ?La journée de l’accordéon est le 6 mai, qui est le jour où l’accordéon a été inventé en 1829. La journée de l’accordéon a été créé en 2009 par le CIA et a rencontré beaucoup de succès depuis, donnant une image positive de l’accordéon. Un des maillons essentiels de cet évènement est le site web de la Journée de l’accordéon. Chaque association, groupe, orchestre, joueur ou enseignant sont priés de soutenir activement cet évènement en proposant ce jour-là, dans leur pays, des activités nationales et locales autour de l’accordéon. Cela peut s’organiser aussi le week end d’avant ou après si c’était plus commode. Chacun peut inscrire son activité pour la journée de l’accordéon sur le site web et envoyer a posteriori un compte rendu qui sera publié sur le site. Aucun évènement n’est trop gros ou ni trop petit. Tous les évènements liés à l’accordéon pour célébrer la journée de l’accordéon seront les bienvenus. C’est une campagne organisée par le Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) pour l’accordéon où tout féru d’accordéon peut participer, le but étant de renforcer les liens de la communauté autour de l’accordéon et de promouvoir l’instrument. |

This is a special version as it contains all the arrangements for ensembles: orchestra, string rchestra, strings with rhythmic section, small groups and the added piano score adaptable to all arrangements. It's part of a university thesis (2013) and it is certainly a piece used all over the world.
