 Daily Reports / Tägliche Berichte sind jetzt online unter: Coupe Mondialefür die 2012 Edition, die vom italienischen CIA Mitglied, dem Akkordeon Kultur Verein (IAC) veranstaltet wurden. Es gab drei Konzerte, die kurz vor dem Coupe Mondiale in Spoleto stattfanden. Am Samstag, der Beitrag von Mirco Patarini, künstlerischer Leiters des 65. Coupe Mondiale’s und Ehrenvizepräsident der CIA, internationaler Konzertist und ehemaliger Gewinner des Trophée Mondial de l'Accordéon, der mit in aller Ehren in seiner Heimatstadt Spoleto auftrat Bilder unter: 2012Pre Das zweite Konzert war von einem zweiten Spoleto Akkordeonist Samuele Telari – er war Gewinner der Jahre 2009 und 2010 des "Strumenti & Musica Festivals" und zweiter Preisträger des 2009 CIA Junior Coupe Mondiale’s in Auckland, New Zealand. Samuele spielte im spektakulären am Huegel gelegenen Pissignano Schloss etwa 15 km von Spoleto. 37. Internationals Akkordeon Festival, Castelfidardo – Italienby Holda Paoletti-Kampl |

| Das jährliche Internationale Akkordeon Festival in Castelfidardo, Ancona, das in der Regel im Oktober stattfindet, wird in diesem Jahr vom 19 bis 23 September durchgeführt. Der wichtigste Teil des Festivals ist der Wettbewerb "Premio & Concorso" für Solisten und Akkordeon Bands. Zahlreiche Konzerte und Nebenveranstaltungen bereichern diesen Wettbewerb. Im Wettbewerb selbst gibt es klassische und Unterhaltungsmusik, einschließlich Astor Piazzolla Repertoire und neue Unterkategorien. Den Jury Vorsitz hat in diesem Jahr der bekannte Künstler und Alexander-Technik Lehrer , Direktor und Professor der italienischen Akkordeon Akademie sowie des Konservatoriums "D'Annunzio" Claudio Jacomucci von Pescara, inne. Einige Wettbewerbe werden im Rathaus , dem wunderschönen "Stemmi" Saal abgehalten werden, um ein größeres Publikum zu ermöglichen. In der gleichen Woche wird auch die Edition der Internationalen "Rassegna" Junior Akkordeon Spieler für Solisten bis zum Alter von 18 Jahre und der Senior Akkordeon Spieler Wettbewerb für Solisten durchgeführt. Diese Kandidaten können ein Programm ihrer Wahl interprätieren und deren Auswertung wird nicht auf geschriebene Musik basieren, sondern auf stilistische Interpretation, technischen Fähigkeiten, Musikalität und Ausdruck.   Tägliche Berichte / Daily Reports einschließlich der Wettbewerbsergebnisse des Hohner Cups Variété Akkordeon Wettbewerb in Peking vom 15. bis 17. August 2012 sind online auf der 2012 Hohner Website.Dieser neue Wettbewerb ist anders, indem jeder Teilnehmer ein Teststück mit Playback spielen muss, das von der Wettbewerbsorganisation vorgegeben wurde. Der Stil der Musik ist Variété Akkordeon Unterhaltungsmusik. Die Kategorien sind Solo, Duett, Trio und Ensemble mit anderen Instrumenten. Die Veranstaltung wurde von Ding Peng organisiert (Bild links), gemeinsam mit dem Hohner Team an Helfern und dem Gastgeber China Accordion Association (Präsident Prof. Li Cong, Bild rechts), die die Veranstaltung sehr angenehm gemacht haben für die Teilnehmer, Lehrer, Eltern und die Jury. Beide, Ding Peng und Li Cong, wurden bei der Eröffnungsfeier fotografiert. |

 Tägliche Berichte / daily reports einschließlich der Wettbewerbsergebnisse des Baidi Cups 2012 in Jinan, vom 11. bis 13. August 2012, sind online auf der 2012 Baidi Website. Dies ist ein wichtiges Ereignis mit über 500 Teilnehmern aus ganz China um in Jinan zu konkurrieren. Fu Yong (Bild rechts) hat die Wettbewerbs-Organisation geleitet und ist der Direktor des China Musician Association Accordion Branch und auch der Leiter der Jury dieser Veranstaltung. Was am Baidi Cup besonders erstaunlich ist, ist die große Anzahl an jungen Akkordeonisten (unter 7 Jahren), die an den Wettbewerben teilnehmen und in Gruppen und im Orchester spielen.   The 2012 All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil, organized by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann (CCE), took place in the town of Cavan, County Cavan, from August 10th to 20th. The Fleadh Cheoil is a huge festival of Irish music, song and dance, with approximately 10,000 competitors and performers, including large numbers of accordionists, melodeon, concertina and harmonica players, as well as ceili bands, accordion and marching bands participating. The results for all the 170 sections are on the Fleadh Cheoil website.  The Scottish band Tweed’s first CD ‘The First Weave’ is lively traditional ceilidh music with funk, rock and ska influences.The band is a trio from the highlands of Scotland: Graeme Mackay (Shand Morino 3-row diatonic accordion), Duncan Farquhar (fiddle), and Sam Mcleod (drums). Graeme Mackay is the third generation of a Scottish accordion playing dynasty, and has been competing since the age of 13, having won multiple button accordion trophies, 2 major traditional championships and came second in the national accordion masters championship.  The Accordions Worldwide news for August 28th 1998 reported that leading Zydeco accordionist and bandleader Jo Jo Reed was seriously injured when his car was hit by a drunk driver. Fellow Zydeco musicians rallied round to assist with the resultant medical expenses, and it is also good to be able to say that Jo Jo Reed is today still performing and pursuing his musical career. ACCORDIONIST INJURED BY DRUNK DRIVER - USA Contributed by Dennis Gurwell The Swamp Gators performed at a successful benefit dance for Jo Jo Reed on August 23rd in Gardena to over 200 people. Jo Jo Reed is a Zydeco accordionist from Louisiana. He plays accordion, bass and drums. He was badly injured earlier this year coming home from a gig when a drunk driver going in the opposite direction, crossed over the centre line and hit Jo Jo's car head on. He has had to undergo a series of facial reconstruction surgeries. He is now up and around and is scheduled to play at the Louisiana Zydeco Festival on September 5th and 6th, but has been left with large medical bills. The benefit dance was one of several held this week on the West Coast of the USA. On August 22nd, Geno Delafose and Balfa Toujours performed a concert in Seattle, Washington, and donated their pay to the cause. In the San Francisco Bay area on the same night, Zydeco accordionist Kenny Menard and his band donated their services at another benefit dance. |

 The Polish Arts Festival welcomes accordion artists from throughout Europe for the ‘Accordion Marathon’, to be held in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, on September 1st and 2nd. The venue is the City Beach Stage, corner Southchurch Avenue and Eastern Esplanade, Southend. The ‘Marathon’ will celebrate the role of the accordion in traditional, classical, and Polish contemporary contexts, and also its intercultural significance across the European Union. Starting at 12 midday, four accordion artists will appear each day, one after the other. They will perform a concert of approximately 75 minutes each.
