2009 Nationaler Akkordeon-Frühlingswettbewerb in Shanghai – Chinaby Harley Jones |
 Der 2009 nationale Akkordeon-Wettbewerb findet vom 1. bis 3. Mai in Shanghei statt und hat rund 400 Teilnehmer in verschiedenen Kategorien. Im Gegensatz zu den vergangenen Editionen sind ungefähr 70 % der Wettbewerber für die Unterhaltungskategorie gemeldet. Dieser Wettbewerb ist auch ein wichtiges Ereignis, der zur Vorbereitung für den 64. Coupe Mondiale dient und 2011 in Shanghai ausgetragen wird. Der Veranstalter, Professor Li Cong, berichtet: "Ich fördere und unterstütze seit 2006 die Entwicklung des „chinesischen Akkordeons“. Bis zu dieser Zeit gab es fast keine Unterhaltungs-Akkordeonmusik in China. Nach vielen Bemühungen hat sich diese Situation jetzt verändert und viele junge Akkordeonschüler, Studenten haben begonnen Unterhaltungsmusik zu studieren. Während des Wettbewerbes in Shanghai werden die Studenten ein Unterhaltungmusikkonzert aufführen, Ein Budget von fast 100.000 RMB erlaubt der Organisation alle Details wie ein Bühnenregisseur, sowie ausgezeichnete Licht-und Ton-Ausrüstung von professioneller Hand zu leiten und es zu einem ganz besonderen Konzert werden zu lassen. Außerdem wird dieses Konzert speziell zur Feier des Welt Akkordeon Tages aufgeführt (World Accordion Day). Akkordeonmarke Manfrini werden wieder produziert in Camerano – Italienby Rob Howard |
 Manfrini Akkordeons aus Camerano/Italien haben nach mehr als 30 Jahren, erneut die Produktion aufgenommen. Das neue Unternehmen produziert handgemachte Akkordeons und plant ca.100 Instrumente jährlich zu produzieren. Alle Akkordeons können nach persönlichen „Details“ und „technischen Angaben“ fabriziert werden.Robert Rolston, ursprünglich aus Schottland, jetzt aber in Italien wohnhaft, hat das neue Unternehmen und die „alte“ Marke zusammen mit Ercolano Manfrini zum wiedererwachen gebracht.  Am 19. April gab es ein bedeutendes Konzert im Teatro delle Muse in Ancona mit dem Titel "Su le rive dell'oblio" - Musik für Akkordeon und Klavier - mit dem Akkordeonist Alessandro Mugnoz und der Pianistin Claudia Menghi. Das Programm: einigen Raritäten aus dem 19. Jahrhundert in „moderner Erstaufführung“, Musik von George C. Lickl (1801-1877) - Sonate Op. 40 für Klavier und Akkordeon ", Panzini Angelo (1820-1886) -" Grande Sonate für Klavier und Akkordeon ", Charles-Marie Widor (1845-1937) -" Humoreske und Marken nuptiale "(dai" 6 Duos für Harmonium und Klavier ), und Lattuada Felice (1882-1962) - "sulle rive dell'oblio" (arrangiert für Akkordeon und Klavier von A. Mugnoz). Eine Kostprobe dieses Konzertes gab es am 9. April in Castelfidardo in der Aula "Binci" des Mordini Palazzos, in Anwesenheit eines ausgewählten Publikums von Musikern und Kollegen der beiden Künstler. Viel Beifall gab es vom Publikum für beide Konzerte, die zum großen Teil das Ergebnis von M° Alessandro Mugnoz’s langjährigen Forschungs-Arbeiten über das Kammermusik-Repertoire mit Akkordeon sowie Instrumente mit “freien Stimmzungen” aus dem 19. Jahrhundert (oft vielvergessenes und nicht erforschtes Repertoire) sind. Weiters gab es einen ersten Vorschlag in bezug auf “Musik-und Kultur” ein neues Projekt in Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem Verein “Neues Italienisches Musik-Lehrzentrum“ und dem "Internationalen Studienzentrum über das Akkordeon" mit Sitz in Castelfidardo.  Die vierzehnjärige Akkordeonschülerin der Rhein-Lahn-Kreismusikschule Stephanie Saß aus Wasenbach(Deutschland) hat an einem Tag zwei Siegespokalen bekommen.Als Akkordeonlandesmeisterin Rheinland-Pfalz in Ludwigshafen und Rheinländische Meisterin in Leichtatletik in Koblenz. Im dezember 2008 wurde sie Preisträgerin des Förderkreises der Kreismusikschule, der järlich 2 beste Solisten unter rund 900 Musikschüler auszeichnet. Stephanie nimmt seit 2001 Unterricht bei Viktor Dupper aus Bad Ems, dem ehemalige Akkordeonlehrer von der international beckanter Akkordeonistin Veronika Todorova. |

 The World Music Band Charco, will offer its public showcase on April 28th, 8.30pm, at the Paul McCartney Auditorium, Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. The ticket costs £2 per person. Charco will offer a set of original music plus Richard Galliano and Astor Piazzolla's covers. Their influences are Spanish, Latin and Eastern European music.  On the 3rd of May, 1pm at the Great Hall of the Rostov State Philharmonic, there will be a concert dedicated to World Day of Accordion. The concert is titled "Accordion Plus". This year, for the first time, the world will celebrate World Accordion Day, as an event approved by the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) - a member of the International Music Counci (IMC), UNESCO. The concert will be attended by Russian stars: Honored Artists of Russia Yuri Shishkin and Anatoly Zaikin, winners of international competitions: Andrew Statsenko, Alexander Poeluev, Alexander Letunov, Arthur Kazarian, ensembles of "New-Centropezn jazz quartet", "Uzory", " Cherkassy", " Ani ", "ARTIS", "Domino", "Foggy Dew", famous harmonica player Victor Skolozubov and many others. |

 Aisha and Victor, a couple of tango dancers and teachers from Buenos Aires, Argentina, are just about to start their European Tango Tour 2009 - from May 15th until the beginning of October.This year’s tour includes Europe with a new spectacle. This year´s ´special´ is a tango performance connecting dancing tango and playing music, a fusion of tango and folk music. The show features the transformation of a musician into a tango dancer, playing tango music - romantic and sensual, and original. The show includes a 4 minute live concert on accordion.   The Wazemmes Accordion Festival takes place at la maison Folie Wazemmes and other venues in Lille, from June 19th to 25th. It is anticipated that over 20, 000 spectators will attend this festival. A press conference takes place on May 7th, 11.30am, at the Grand Bleu, 36 avenue Marx Dormoy – Lille. On this occasion the festival programming involving about 60 events will be outlined.
