Lorenzo Antonelli ha sido galardonado con el "24º Premio Nazionale Gentile da Fabriano" (imagen superior), que es la primera vez que un fabricante de piezas de acordeón ha sido seleccionado para este prestigioso premio que se le entregó el 10 de octubre en el Teatro Gentile, Fabriano. La empresa, fundada en 1935 en Osimo por el abuelo Luigi, se encuentra en el distrito de Marche, donde las empresas producen acordeones desde hace más de un siglo. Las voces son el corazón, el principio del sonido, el elemento físico esencial de los acordeones. Se trata de conjuntos metálicos de alta precisión que generan el sonido a través del flujo de aire. Los mercados de hoy requieren visión, coraje para cambiar, energía y experiencia. Lorenzo Antonelli, tras graduarse y masterizarse en gestión empresarial, se formó en los métodos organizativos más avanzados. En los últimos 12 años, la Asociación de Acordeonistas de Macedonia “Ljubiteli na klasichna muzika” (MAA) - Skopje ha apoyado el proyecto internacional "Día Mundial del Acordeón 6 de mayo" con varios eventos musicales emocionantes. Este año, en las condiciones de cierre debido a la pandemia de COVID-19, los acordeonistas macedonios y amigos celebraron este glorioso día con un video deseando a todos un muy feliz cumpleaños con un anuncio del concierto pospuesto de WAD. Este año, por duodécima vez, la asociación organizó un concierto solemne haciendo la celebración del evento internacional y celebración del cumpleaños del instrumento, denominado “6 de mayo en octubre”. Reportaje fotográfico en: 2020RN-Macedonia El Concierto del Día Mundial del Acordeón se llevó a cabo en el Suli An (construido a mediados del siglo XV en el Antiguo Bazar de Skopje), el 3 de octubre, en un ambiente íntimo con una audiencia reducida siguiendo todos los protocolos y recomendaciones de Covid-19. El Concierto de Gala WAD en los últimos años se ha convertido en un importante y prestigioso evento cultural y artístico en el país y también en el exterior, gracias a que el concierto es transmitido a nivel mundial por una estación de TV Nacional. Este año el concierto se transmitió por televisión como parte de la celebración de la Fiesta Nacional del 11 de octubre, el Día del Levantamiento de Macedonia. El concierto contó con artistas de renombre y estudiantes de acordeón de la clase del Prof. Zorica Karakutovska interpretando obras de Anatoli Kusiakov, Viatcheslav Semionov, Bete Ilin, Franck Angelis, Piazzolla, Saint-Saens y otros. En el concierto de este año se pospuso el estreno previsto de la composición "Dafino" de Bete Ilin dedicada al presidente de la CIA Mirco Patarini debido a la actual situación viral y al imposible viaje de Mirco Patarini a nuestro país. El anfitrión del evento fue el popular presentador de televisión Ognen Janeski. El hermoso entorno de Suli An estuvo ocupado por una audiencia muy entusiasta, pero este año en diferentes circunstancias, bajo máscaras. Los artistas y el público reaccionaron con verdadera emoción y premiaron a los músicos con un merecido aplauso. Al finalizar el concierto, la Presidenta del MAA, Profesora Zorica Karakutovska, saludó y agradeció a todos por su presencia y gran apoyo deseando que el próximo concierto sea en circunstancias normales sin máscaras para ver las sonrisas y alegría de la gente en el público. . El Festival Virtual de Invierno de Acordeón de Cotati se llevará a cabo en línea el 19 y 20 de diciembre de 2020 de 11 a.m. a 4 p.m. todos los días. La Orquesta Global Accordion Project (GAPO) iniciada por Ian Watson (foto a la izquierda - director musical) y Sam Cullen (bajista principal) de la London Accordion Orchestra se aseguran de que haya una última vez en 2020 en la que todos podamos unirnos para la música. . GAPO le ha encargado a Ian Watson que escriba una nueva partitura para esta experiencia. La pieza 'El desafío del tiempo', en la que estamos de acuerdo, resume 2020. No es el desafío de la firma del tiempo, pero contará con algunos ritmos desafiantes (pero no demasiado desafiantes). Las comisiones están abiertas para ser miembro de la orquesta (Bronce, Plata, Oro, Diamante). Sin embargo, como es una época del año muy ocupada, puede ser comisionado sin grabarse a sí mismo y se le mencionará en el video final y en la partitura impresa. Paris Museum Features “Accordion Night” - Franceby Rob Howard |
The City of Music - Philharmonie de Paris Museum will feature an “Accordion Night” as part of their 16th European Music Night event on November 14th, 2020 at 7pm. The Museum is dedicated to music, concerts, exhibitions, conferences and music practise. The Museum of Music is partnering with the city of Tulle, which is preparing the opening of its City of Accordion and Heritage in 2022. The concert will include a variety of accordion music such as musette, jazz, traditional, current and contemporary music. The 12th International Competition for Diatonic Accordion (Styrian type) world championships have unfortunately been postponed due to Covid-19. The event, organised by the HVO - Harmonica Verband Osterreichs (Accordion Association of Austria) was to be held in Terme Olimia, Slovenia in May 2021. Further information will be posted at a later date when organisers can reschedule the event. |

The 19th Les Lisztomanias Festival was held at the Équinoxe - Scène nationale de Châteauroux Performance Art Theatre in Châteauroux this month. This year’s festival was entitled "Beethoven and Liszt, Father and Son" and celebrated the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth. On October 18th Félicien Brut (accordion) performed with Edouard Macarez (double bass) and the Hermès Quartet which includes Omer Bouchez and Elise Liu (violins), Yung-Hsin Lou Chang (viola) and Yan Levionnois (cello). Their program featured a tribute to Beethoven or the meeting of Beethoven and the accordion - a meeting through nine creations by nine composers: Corentin Apparailly, Stéphane Delplace, Domi Emorine, Thomas Enhco, Patrice d'Ollone, Cyrille Lehn, Thibault Perrine, Fabien Waksman and Jean-François Zygel. The group will include these works in their new CD NEUF (NINE) which is due to be released on November 13th, 2020. This weekend on October 24th, Félicien will perform in duo with Lucienne Renaudin-Vary at the 2020 Festival Les Musicalies d'Émeraude, in the Stephan Bouttet Auditorium in Dinard, Bretagne (Brittany). South African Radio Station FMR scheduled a special event entitled “Play On” – Keeping Local Music Alive during Covid-19 lockdown on October 19th. The program included a variety of music and musicians who played jazz and new compositions including a new lockdown track. World Café Trio (pictured above right), which includes Stanislav Angelov (accordion), Petrus de Beer (violin) and Schalk Joubert (bass guitar) entertained on the program. |

Accordionist Vlasta Krsek, who features in the movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" parade scene, passed away at the age of 83 recently. Vlasta Krsek was born in Prague, Czech Republik and resided in Spooner, WI, USA. She was known as the "Shirley Temple of Czechoslavakia", and also as "The International Queen of Polka". Video 1: you will see her on the float playing during the performance of “Danke Schoen" sung by Ferris Bueller in the movie. The Victor Prieto Trio will perform a concert at Terraza 7 in Elmhurst, New York City, USA on October 29th, 2020 at 7pm presented as part of the Terraza 7 Outdoor Concert Series. The trio includes Victor Prieto (accordion), Vince Cherico (drums) and Ricky Rodriguez (bass). They will play a mix of Jazz, Tango, Classical and Celtic Roots music enriched with new rhythms. Honky-Tonk Jump with accordionist Dan Newton will perform at Crooners Supper Club in Minneapolis, MN on November 5th from 7pm to 8.30pm. The performance will take place in their Main Stage Tent, set against the romantic backdrop of Moore Lake, and has been reconfigured to ensure that all tables are tent-sheltered and comfortable temperatures will be maintained with a custom heating system. Popular quartet, Milonga De Cuatro will give a concert entitled “Five Tango Sensations” at the Nathan Homestead in Auckland, New Zealand on November 15th, 2020 from 5pm to 6.30pm. The quartet consists of Lian Jones (accordion), Marija Dimitrijevic (double bass), Celina Reyes Badger (viola) and Natalia Meyta (piano). This concert will feature Astor Piazzolla's "Five Tango Sensations", a suite of works written in Tango Nuevo style which is a "work of tragic beauty" . This is the last piece that the composer wrote and recorded in his life. The quartet believe this is the first time this work has been performed in New Zealand. While "Five Tango Sensations" is the central piece of the concert, there will be other Piazzolla's melodies as well as the music of Eduardo Rovira (Argentina) and you will be surprised by his Tango! This concert replaces their August 30th, 2020 concert which was cancelled due to the Covid-19 lockdown in Auckland. See poster for details. |
