NAO UK nationalen Wettbewerben! Herausragende Erfolge waren: - Simmone Sciammarella (Italien) den 1. Preis beim Internationalen Solo Kategorie; - Alexander Bodel, 4 mal den 1. Preis Solo Sieger in Recital, bis 15, bis 15 und Musette, 14 Polka ; - Thom Hardaker (Senior) Roland V Nationale Kategorie; - Nancy Langton (Junior) Roland V Nationale Kategorie; sowie herausragende Leistungen des Orchester Graham Laurie Paisley Akkordeon Orchester (MD Graham Laurie). Während der NAO Hauptversammlung - wurde Elaine Beecham mit der Position der Ehren-Vizepräsidentin zur Anerkennung ihrer langjährigen Dienste beim NAO und Anna Bodell (Bild rechts) zur Vorsitzenden NAO für 2011/12 benannt. Mavis Parnell wurde mit dem NAO Associate Award honoriert. Die 2012 NAO UK Championships werden in einem neuen Veranstaltungsort durchgeführt - Adelphi Hotel, Liverpool vom 27 bis 29 April 2012.  Am 15. September beginnt das Online-Akkordeon "MusicTech Festival" . Eine öffentliche Abstimmung im Internet entscheidet den Wettbewerb / Festival. Um mitzumachen muss man entweder ein Digital- MusicTech Akkordeon oder ein Akkordeon mit MusicTech Midi spielen.Der MusicTech Direktor Claudio Sabbatini (Bild rechts) lädt alle Spieler ein sich online einzutragen und mitzumachen Es gibt keine herkömmliche Jury - stattdessen werden Online-Besucher abstimmen, wobei jede Person 1 Stimme für jede Kategorie abgeben kann. Gewählt wird ab 16.September bis 15. Oktober 2011. Es gibt drei Kategorien: - Klassik (Konzert Musik) - Jazz / Pop - Traditionelle (alle traditionellen Akkordeon-Nummern, gleich welcher Art, veröffentlicht oder unveröffentlicht). Die Regeln sind online unter www.musictechfestival.com zu konsultieren. - Anmeldeschluss ist der 31. Zum World Accordion Tag (World Accordion Day) präsentiere sich Professor Zorica Karakutovska, Präsidentin des mazedonischen Verband der Akkordeonisten "Ljubiteli na klasicnata muzika „ live im nationalen Fernsehen TV-Sender in Skopje sowie Radio-Stationen für Interviews. Bilder und Informationen unter: 2011 Macedonia Darüber hinaus veröffentlichte der mazedonischen Verband der Akkordeonisten ein Artikel mit Informationen über das 3. Weltforum des Akkordeon Tages und dem 182. Geburtstag des Akkordeons, der in allen großen Zeitungen in Mazedonien veröffentlicht wurde. Ein sehr erfolgreiches Konzert zum Weltakkordeontag am 6. Mai, das noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben wird. . Der Höhepunkt des Konzerts war die Darbietung des Akkordeon-Trios, bestehend aus Prof. Zorica Karakutovska und zwei Studenten, die Gewinner des GRAND PRIX des 49. Nationalen Wettbewerb für Kammermusik, Bojan Volcevski und Filip Stamevski (Duo Fi-Bo). Das Konzert beinhaltete eine Uraufführung eines neuen Werkes vom mazedonischen Komponist Elizabeta Ilievska-Bete mit dem Titel "Variationen" für Klarinette, Akkordeon und Cello.   .Um die Ankunft des berühmten "Giro d'Italia" in Castelfidardo (der Heimat des Akkordeons) gebührend zu würdigen, hat Victoria Accordions zu diesem Anlass ein spezielles "Victoria in Pink" Akkordeon anfertigen lassen. (Der Führende der Tour trägt das berühmte Rosa-Trikot "Maglia Rosa". Das Akkordeon ist voll funktionsfähig - in jedem Detail und unterstreicht die Wichtigkeit des Akkordeons in Castelfidardo und honoriert gleichzeitig dieses große Sportereigniss. Im Balg ist zu lesen: Giro d'Italia. Das Akkordeon ist derzeit auf Display in der Hauptstraße von Castelfidardo, mit 2 originalen Notenblätter für Akkordeon "Coppi in Fuga" und "Bartali in Salita". Coppi und Bartali waren zwei der berühmtesten italienischen Radrennfahrer - zwei große Sportler, Freunde und zugleich Konkurrenten. |

 The annual event ‘Days of Macedonian Music 2011’, organized by the Association of Composers of Macedonia – SOCOM, under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Macedonia and the Ministry of Culture, was held from March 21st to 30th in Skopje.At the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra concert on March 24th, for the first time in the 66 years that the orchestra has existed, they performed a composition with an accordion soloist. The conductor was Sasha Nikolovski–Gjumar (picture above, Ilievska-Bete and performers bow). The composition titled ‘Capriccio’ by Elizabeta Ilievska-Bete, received excellent critical acclaim. The accordion solo was performed by Bojan Volcevski, a student of Prof. Zorica Karakutovska at the Faculty of Music Skopje. On March 29th, the chamber music concert presented another new work by Elizabeta Ilievska-Bete titled ‘Sigh’ (For my guardian angel) which was performed by the eminent musicians and pedagogues Anna Kontradenko (violin), Oleg Kontradenko (violin), Frosina Balova (viola), Aleksandar Kotevski (violoncello) and Zorica Karakutovska (accordion) (picture below). This new work was also very well received by the large audience and the music critics said it was “an excellent new work”.  To celebrate World Accordion Day and the arrival of China accordion year, the SichuanMusicians Association and Sichuan Accordion Association on May 1, 2011, celebrated these events and also made a promotion for the 2011 Coupe Mondiale being hosted by the China Accordion Association in Shanghai. As well, the Sichuan event was promoting the Fourth Sichuan Accordion Competition and Art Festival,at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music. The main organizer is Prof. Chen Jun, Accordion Department head at Sichuan Conservatory of Music and Chinese Accordion Association Vice President. A total of 500 accordion players and fans attended the Sichuan World Accordion Day celebration including some, who will be competitors in the 2011 Coupe Mondiale, Castelfidardo International Accordion Competition winners, with the youngest player participating, being only only 4 years old, with the oldest being a 76 year old player. |

 Accordionist Salvatore Cauteruccio performed on May 7th in a concert in Monaco of Bavaria (Germany).This event was held at the inauguration of the Akkordeon Centrum Brusch, organized in collaboration with the prestigious accordion manufacturer Ballone Burini Castelfidardo. | On April 23 Corrado Rojac, accordion professor at the Tartini Conservatory in Trieste performed at Harvard University in Boston. At the concert, there were premieres of music written for accordion composed by Harvard composition students. Among them, Trevor Baa, Edgar Barroso and Gabriele Vanoni. The concert held in the beautiful John Knowles Paine Concert Hall was a great success. The professor of composition at Harvard University Chaya Chernowyn, personally congratulated Corrado Rojac. |

 The 4th Strumenti & Musica Festival, Spoleto features competitions and a festival. The competitions includes 7 categories. Up to 12 years, up to 15 years, Classical and Variety categories up to 18 years and up to 32 years plus an ensemble category.Regulations online: 2011 Spoleto Entry closing date is 15 July 2011.  On Saturday 28th May, the accordion students of the Royal Academy of Music will be playing at 7.30pm at Our Lady and St Thomas of Canterbury Church, 22 Roxborough Park, Harrow on the Hill, Middx, HA1 3BE (Tel. 020 8422 2513). For some students, like Ksenija Sidorova (picture right), graduation looms and we find that suddenly they are already in their final year at the RAM. The concert will feature some beautiful music brought to life in the wonderful acoustics of a church whose size is perfect for an accordion recital. |
