 Das 2023 Accordionists & Teachers Guild, International (ATG) Festival wird vom 19. bis 22. Juli 2023 im Lisle Hyatt in Lisle, Illinois, USA, stattfinden. ATG-Präsidentin Mary Ann Covone begrüßt Akkordeon-Enthusiasten aus der ganzen Welt.Die Konzerte der Veranstaltung finden im Armerding Center for Performing Arts auf dem Campus des Wheaton College statt. Zu Gast sind Grayson Masefield (Neuseeland), das Polyphonia Orchestra (Insel La Réunion), Das Duo Kollektiv (Flöten- und Akkordeonduo aus Österreich), Stas Venglevski (USA) mit Dr. Brett Jones an der Marimba und das (UMKC) Community Accordion Chamber Ensemble unter der Leitung von Joan Cochran Sommers. Die Tickets für die Sharon Shannon Trio Konzerttournee in Großbritannien sind schnell ausverkauft, einige Veranstaltungsorte sind bereits ausverkauft. Die Tournee beginnt am 3. Februar 2023 in London und dauert bis zum 19. Februar in Exeter. Sharon Shannon ist bekannt für ihre Bearbeitungen traditioneller irischer Melodien und irisch beeinflusster Kompositionen, sowie ihre Zusammenarbeit, nicht nur in der traditionellen irischen Musik, sondern in allen musikalischen Genres, Hip-Hop, Cajun, Country, Reggae, Klassik und Rap. |

 Am 1. Januar 2023 wurde Frank Busso Jr. zum Präsidenten der American Accordionists' Association (AAA) für die Jahre 2023-2025 gewählt.Frank Busso Jr. gehört dem Vorstand der AAA seit 2007 an und ist seit 2021 der zweite Vizepräsident der Organisation. Er ist Direktor der Ernest Deffner Affiliates, zu deren Marken Titano, Pancordion, Pigini, Excelsior, Roland und Hohner gehören. Frank ist Akkordeonist der United States Air Force Band in Washington, DC und leitet die Busso Music School in Alexandria, VA. Er erwarb einen Bachelor of Science in Betriebswirtschaft an der Boston University und arbeitete später als Ausbilder und Arrangeur für die Boston University Athletic Bands. Frank Busso studierte Akkordeon bei Frank Busso Sr. an der Staten Island Music School in New York und wurde dort schließlich Lehrer, wo seine Schüler viele regionale und nationale Wettbewerbstitel errangen. |

  Die XXV. Ausgabe des Internationalen Musikwettbewerbs und -festivals von Val Tidone wird vom 13. bis 16. Juli 2023 in Val Tidone, Italien, stattfinden.Die Wettbewerbe umfassen: - Egidio Carella Kompositionswettbewerb für klassische und zeitgenössische Musik mit Sektionen für Soloinstrumente und Kammermusik. - Silvio Bengalli Klavierpreis - Val Tidone Young Talent Competition mit Alterskategorien für die Sparten Klavier, Streicher und Kammermusik. Zu den Jurymitgliedern des Kompositionswettbewerbs gehören Livio Bollani (künstlerischer Leiter - Bild links), Andrea Portera und Barbara Rettagliati. Die Anmeldungen sind ab 1. Februar 2023 bis 31. | Das Chester Folk Festival veranstaltet am 25. Februar 2023 ab 12 Uhr seinen Februar Folk Day in der All Saints Church in Chester, Cheshire, England. Die Veranstaltung umfasst Konzerte am Nachmittag und am Abend, Ceilidh, Sessions und Tanzvorführungen. | Werner Weibert, Präsident des Harmonikaverbandes Österreichs (HVÖ), hat bekannt gegeben, dass die Anmeldungen für den Wettbewerb "Tag der Harmonika 2023", der vom 18. bis 21. Mai 2023 in Stainz in der Südsteiermark stattfinden wird, ab sofort möglich sind. Die Veranstaltung umfasst den österreichischen Wettbewerb für Akkordeon-Solisten, Duos, Ensembles, Kammermusik und Weltmusik. Außerdem sind ab sofort Anmeldungen für den 4. Internationalen Erich Moser Gedenkwettbewerb für Steirische Harmonika möglich. | Applications are now open for the 16th Premio Andrea Parodi World Music Competition in Italy. Premio Andrea Parodi was created in honour of the distinguished Sardinian artist Andrea Parodi, who passed away in 2006. The Artistic Commission established by the Foundation will select ten finalists among the applicants in an anonymous way. The finalists will perform in Cagliari at the "Premio Andrea Parodi" Festival 2023, in front of a jury composed of authoritative industry professionals (singers,, musicians, writers and songwriters, poets, managers, producers, press offices, journalists), from international countries. These finals will be held in autumn in Cagliari, Sardinia. The prize for the Winner includes concerts and performances in some of the partner music festivals in their 2024 editions, such as European Jazz Expo (Sardinia), Folkest (Friuli), as well as the Premio Andrea Parodi 2024. In addition, winners will be entitled to a €2,500 scholarship. The winner of the Critics' Awards will have a professional videoclip of their competition piece produced, offered by the Andrea Parodi Foundation. Some of the finalists can also be invited to some other partner festivals, such as Mare e Miniere, Premio Bianca d’Aponte, Premio Città di Loano per la musica tradizionale italiana, Mo'l'estate Spirit Festival, Musiconnect-Italy.  Accordionist and composer, Professor Claudio Jacomucci will hold an accordion masterclass at the Chamber Music Hall of the Folkwang Universität der Künste in Essen-Werden, Germany from January 28th to 30th, 2023.The artistic director of the event is Mie Miki (Folkwang Professor for Accordion and Vice President for Artistic Excellence) with the kind support of Dr. Josef and Brigitte Pauli Foundation. | Klaus Paier (accordion) and Asja Valcic (cello) will present their concert entitled “Vision for Two – Ten Years” at the Teatro Sociale di Stradella in Stradella, Italy on February 11th, 2023 at 9pm. The duo, who have been performing together for ten years, will present a program from their album "Vision for Two - Ten years", which was recorded in 2019. They planned a concert tour to present the album back then, but it was suspended due to the pandemic and resumed again this year. Their music converges French musette, Argentine tango, Balkan dance, rock and jazz. |

| Die National Accordion Association (NAA) Convention wird vom 15. bis 19. März 2023 im Hilton Hotel, Richardson, Texas, USA, stattfinden. Auf der Convention werden 2023 Versionen amerikanischer Musik präsentiert, die als heutige Musik vermarktet werden können. Die Musik ist eine Kombination aus zeitgenössischer amerikanischer Musik, die von Einwanderern aus den USA stammt, die ihre musikalischen Werte und Traditionen mitbrachten, als sie sich dem großen amerikanischen Schmelztiegel anschlossen. Die Musik ist eine Mischung aus verschiedenen Musikstilen, zu denen unter anderem populäre Melodien, Volksmusik, Country und Western (C&W), Balladen, die eine Geschichte erzählen, Rock and Roll, Polkas und Walzer, europäische Musik, Gospel und Jazz gehören.
