| Poursuivant notre regard dans la semaine de retour aux nouvelles publiées sur Accordions Worldwide il ya 14 ans en 1996, un article dans la section Rapports, intitulé Prix International "Astor Piazzolla", raconte la troisième cérémonie annuelle qui s'est tenue dans le nom et la mémoire du défunt compositeur argentin. Le «nuevo tango» de Piazzolla avait fait une grande impression dans l'univers de la musique et de la danse au milieu des années 1990, et continue à ce jour à passioner les accordionistes, bandonéonistes et publics dans de nombreux endroits. XXVI Festival international de musique pour accordéon, St-Pétersbourg - Russieby Alexander Dmitriev |

| Photo ci-dessus d'organisateur de l'événement de la famille Alexander Dmitriev, sa femme et son fils Vitali Dmitriev. Le XXVI Festival International de Musique pour Accordéon, du 4 au 6 Novembre a eu lieu à la Salle Blanche de l'Université polytechnique de Saint-Pétersbourg, et tous les sièges ont été vendus. L'auditoire était composé d'élèves d'âges différents - les très jeunes enfants de 5-6 ans, les personnes aux cheveux gris, les élèves des écoles de musique, les enseignants et les professeurs de tous les établissements d'enseignement de la musique à Saint-Pétersbourg. XXVI Photos. L'intérêt de ce festival est énorme, pas seulement pour les accordéonistes (professionnels et amateurs), mais aussi les pianistes, les enseignants de chorale, et théoricien de la musique. Le directeur du festival a été le professeur Alexander Dmitriev. Le 4 novembre - chacun des invités du festival ont eu leur propre succès: Maria et Anastasia Vlasova Shkinderova (Moscou), Nadezhda Guseva (Saint-Pétersbourg). Trois jeunes personnalités brillantes, trois conceptions modernes de l'accordéon. 5 Novembre - Ludo Marien (Belgique), dans la première partie du concert, a présenté un programme de musique de divertissement, et Petri Makkonen (deuxième semestre) a joué ses propres compositions, dont la dernière, publiée cette année. Le public a écouté avec enthousiasme les musiciens, qui tous deux avaient un bon sens d’humour et style, le commandement de maître de leurs instruments et de la communication brillante avec le public. 6 novembre - Concert de gala. Grand défilé de jeunes musiciens qui ont réussi la saison dernière. Cette jeune élite de la ville - un bel exemple et la motivation pour la formation à l'accordéon pour leurs pairs. Deux ensembles sont joints aux participants des concerts précédents: duo d'Anna Solyanikova (balalaïka) et Albert Khatmullin (accordéon), le quintette «ESSE» (instruments à cordes folk et deux accordéons). Le duo a donné des performances brillantes de morceaux du folklore américain et hongrois, le quintette a fait de même avec une fantaisie sur des thèmes de Michael Jackson et Antonio Vivaldi. Le concert a duré plus de trois heures. Tous les participants du concert ont été sur la scène de la scène lors de la finale et le public ont accueilli leur et se tint! XXVI Photos. |

 Des centaines d'accordéonistes venus de toute la Mexique États-Unis, Canada, et aussi loin que l'Amérique du Sud, la France et l'Italie pour assister à la 11eme édition du Las Vegas Convention internationale (Las Vegas International Accordion Convention) d’accordéon organisé par Paul Pasquali. L'événement a accueilli plus de 40 ateliers et classes du 1er au 4 Novembre.Faits saillants ont été les performances de Dick Contino, Frank Marocco, Alexander Sevastian, Pete Barbutti, Anthony Rolando et Valerie Vacca, Sylvia Marie Barbier, Corky Bennett, Gordon Kohl, Bruce Gassman, Kim et Dan Christian (Kim and Dan Christian), Michael Bridge, et Gina Brannelli. La musique varie du classique au jazz au Rock n 'Roll, et notamment la musique de presque toutes les parties du monde. Un des faits marquants de l'événement a été remise des prix le mercredi. premier prix a été à un jeune artiste du Canada, Emmanuel Gasser. Il a réalisé plusieurs compositions originales avec une présence scénique imposante. De retour pour un engagement spécial, le Champion du Monde 2007 de la CIA Alex Sevastian a donné une brillante performance qui a amené le public à ses pieds de nombreuses fois. Puis, de 2010 conducteurs honoraire a été décerné à Frank Marocco. Frank a donné un spectacle d'une vie qui a été incroyable pour dire le moins. Il a joué avec Santo Savino (batterie), Ken Seifert (basse) et Fred Haller (au sax et flûte), et ensemble, ils ont reçu de nombreuses ovations. Joan Cochran Sommers a reçu le Lifetime Achievement Award pour sa remarquable contribution à l'éducation musicale, musique d'accordéon, et de la culture. Joan a pendant trois ans organisé et dirigé le International Accordion Orchestra, et ensemble, ils fournissent une finale à couper le souffle grandiose.  Rita Davidson, bien connu accordéoniste de concert, et rédacteur en chef des Nouvelles aux Etats-Unis (USA News) a présenté les travaux d'Eugene Ettore (1921-1985), le samedi soir, 6 Novembre 2010 devant un public des places debout uniquement à la salle de concert MoFiddles à Livingston, au New Jersey. Ce concert a été l'événement "Kick Off" d'une série de concerts en célébration commémorative du 90ème anniversaire de Eugene Ettore. Rita a hypnotisé le public avec ses interprétations sans faille des compositions originales d'Ettore pour accordéon. La première moitié du programme, notamment «Printemps Caprice», «Concert Etude", "Five O'Clock Rush», «Prélude et Scherzo», «Valse», «Accordéon Miniatures» et «vacances espagnol. Après une brève pause, puis Rita Davidson ravi toutes les personnes présentes avec peut-être avec la composition la plus célèbre d'Eugène Ettore, dont il a écrit en 1952, "Manhattan Concerto". Elle a été suivie par une pièce écrite en 1967, qui à ce jour n'a jamais été publié (Rita Davidson plans pour faire de ce manuscrit à la disposition de tous les accordéonistes) intitulé «Introduction, Cadenza, et Tarantella. Sa sélection finale, "Rhapsodie Espagnol, non seulement démontré sa virtuosité, mais aussi les merveilleuses mélodies, des contre-mélodies, et les nuances rythmiques qui Ettore était si habile à composer. Une ovation a Rita Davidson de retour pour un rappel de «Agitato», une pièce composée en 1964. Un site web mémorial est maintenant ouverte pour Eugene Ettore qui est mis à jour régulièrement avec des informations provenant des archives familiales.  ‘Accordions International 2010’, held at Seacroft Holiday Village, Hemsby, Norfolk, November 12th/15th, was a great success, from start to finish. The organiser was Heather Smith. There were superb concert performances from guest artists Pearl Fawcett-Adriano (picture left), Gennaro Ruffolo (Italy), David Vernon & Dick Lee (Scotland), Gianni Mirizzi (Italy), Rosemary Wright, Wayne Robertson, Simone Mannarino (Italy), Bert Santilly, and accordion quintet Norvic Concordia. The amazing Harry Hussey, as usual, was on hand to play informally during the day and evening, including meal times. Wayne Robertson played for Scottish dancing. The workshops included ‘Beginners’ – Jean Hanger, ‘Elementary Orchestra’ – Rosemary Wright, ‘Intermediate Orchestra’ – Brian Jenkins, ‘Scottish Orchestra’ – Wayne Robertson, ‘Jazz Group’ – Bert Santilly, ‘Vintage Orchestra’ – Jean Hanger, ‘Buskers Band’ – Bert Santilly. All the workshops were well subscribed, and excellent performances were given by each in the final concert. The last night began with ‘Songs of Praise’, then a concert featuring many of the guest artists, followed by a ceilidh led by Wayne Robertson, that went on into the wee small hours.  Yuri Shishkin has been on tour in Kazakhstan. His new program, 'one of brilliant repertoire and absolutely rare for any accordionist' has been really popular at all the concerts. 'No one can remember anyone playing such an exciting program.' Yuri Shishkin made concerts in the following cities of Kazakhstan: Astana, Alma-Ata, Karaganda, Kogalym Nefteyugansk, Poikovsky, New Urengoy, Gubkin, Noyabrsk ... In Kazakhstan, many students traveled from town to town so as to hear once again Yuri Shishkin in concert! The musicians called the new program 'Bayan on Russian Theater Scene' and this program has also been very successful at the concert in Rostov-on-Don, Russia with concert halls packed to the limit. |

Two years after the release of ‘Sound Of Philadelphia’, this new CD was conceived during a tour of the East Coast of the United States. |

The venue is The Rider Hall, Youth Centre, St Andrew's Church, Cants Lane, Burgess Hill, West Sussex RH15 0LG. The Musical Director is Sue Bennett. £4 admission includes interval tea/coffee/soft drink and biscuits plus the provision of excellent original musical scores by John Leslie, Charlie Watkins, Richard Holmes and Peter Ayres. | On November 22nd 1996 the Accordions Worldwide news reported the third International Award ‘Astor Piazzolla’, held in Castelfidardo, Italy. Astor Piazzolla (1921 –1992), legendary Argentinean composer and virtuoso bandoneon player, revolutionized the traditional tango into a new style termed ‘nuevo tango’, incorporating elements from jazz and classical music. THIRD INTERNATIONAL AWARD 'PIAZZOLLA' by Holda Paoletti-Kampl From 8th to 10th November, the Third International Award "Astor Piazzolla" took place in Castelfidardo, dedicated to the music composed by the famous Argentinian maestro and great bandoneon player who died in 1992. There were soloists and groups with various combinations of players and instruments participating, performing music composed by Piazolla (original scores, free transcriptions and personal improvisations). The 98 talented participants came from Russia, Spain, Austria, Czechoslovakia and Italy and included "Neofonia Ensemble" a group of 12 players from Napoli, Italy, Russian duettists "Duo Balik-Ralo" and "Trio Argentino del Tango" from Spain. "Adios Nonino" composed by Piazzolla for the death of his father was interpreted by the famous Argentinian pianist Carlos Franzetti as well as by Hector Ulises Passarella on his Bandoneon and both were received with a long standing ovation by a large audience. |

 The Graham Geddes Scottish Country Dance Band leaves Scotland this week, heading for Taiwan and Thailand where they will play for St Andrew’s Day events. These are at the Grand Hyatt, Taipei, Taiwan, on November 20th, and on November 27th in Bangkok, Thailand, at the Dusit Ani 5 Star Hotel and for the 15th year at the Bangkok St Andrew's Society Ball. Graham Geddes (born 1961) started his musical career on accordion at the age of 14, taught by Peter Farnan of Dundee. He went on to win various accordion competitions in and around Scotland in the 1970s. Graham also performs as a vocalist and saxophonist, having studied voice and piano at Trinity College of Music, London. He has performed regularly on TV and BBC Radio Scotland, has composed themes for various television companies, and has made many recordings. For further information email: gizasong@aol.com |

 Argentinean accordionist Sergio Pinget has been very active this year with concerts, presentations and recordings. Originally from the city of Columbus, but now based Buenos Aires, Sergio Pinget represented his hometown by appearing on the TV show ‘Argentine Talent’, on the channel Telefe.This weekend he will be on tour as special guest of the vocal group Canto Cuatro, appearing in the towns of Lules (Tucumán), Tarija (Bolivia) and Quebrachal (Salta) on November 19th, 20th and 21st. On Sunday November 28th, 6pm, Sergio will perform at the Mega Festival EduCultura Tango and Folklore, Buenos Aires. This week, Sergio Pinget signed an agreement with the Foundation ART alive for the authorization of the use of two of his compositions, ‘La Entrerriana’ and ‘Sonata de Amor’, for a short documentary film ‘Pueblo Liebig’. | ‘Coamorous’ is a group of four international musicians who came together by chance in Seoul, South Korea, and found they all had a passion for a kind of Tango not typically presented to Korean audiences. This group performs throughout Korea works of a level such as Astor Piazzolla, in an effort to introduce a higher level of Tango to as many people as possible - one that is as important as Beethoven's ‘Fifth Symphony’ is to Classical music and Wagner's ‘Tristan and Isolde’ is to Opera. The kind of Tango they hope to introduce is one of soulful expression, intricately woven melodies, and sonorous harmonies. The members of ‘Coamorous’ are Alexander Sheykin (accordion), Anna Fedotova (violin), Andrey Vinichenko (piano) and Garan Fitzgerald (double bass). Having trained internationally in various styles of music during the course of their lives, the group currently resides in Seoul and performs in various halls and performance spaces throughout South Korea. In 2009 ‘Coamorous’ won the 1st Prize at the 10th Osaka International Music Competition, Japan. ‘Coamorous’ next perform in concert at Spazio Luce, a beautiful new performing arts venue in the heart of Seoul on December 6th, at 8pm.
