 2018 Artistic Director Renzo Ruggieri hat die ersten Neuigkeiten für den PIF International "Città di Castelfidardo" Akkordeon Preis von 2018 veröffentlicht.Kompositionskategorie: Das Gewinnerwerk wird zum obligatorischen Teststück der dritten Runde der Premio-Kategorie 2018. Um neues Repertoire für Akkordeon zu fördern, sind Komponisten eingeladen, ein Werk für Akkordeon solo mit Streichorchester zu schreiben, wozu es Piano und einen Percussion hinzugefügt werden kann. Die Komposition darf vorab NICHT in der Öffentlichkeit aufgeführt worden sein und der Komponist muss wissen, dass das Siegerstück von den Premio-Kandidaten der dritten Runde aufgeführt wird, sowie: - Gesamtdauer zwischen mindestens 5 und maximal 8 Minuten; - muss mindestens einen "Solo" -Teil für Akkordeon enthalten; - Die Solisten werden vor der Abschlussvorstellung nur eine Probeaufführung mit dem Orchester durchführen. Komponisten sind eingeladen, ihre Kompositionen spätestens am 15. April 2018 im PDF-Format, ohne Komponisten und ohne Partitur mit Komponistennamen plus einer mp3-Hörprobe live oder mit Musiksoftware zu senden. 1. Preis: 500 Euro, 2. Preis 300 Euro, 3.  Der Akkordeonist John Torcello wird mit Mitgliedern der Los Angeles Philharmonic New Music Gruppe unter der Leitung des finnischen Dirigentin Susanna Mälkki in der Green Umbrella Serie unter der Regie von John Adams, (um Originalwerke zu fördern) am Dienstag, dem 23. Januar um 20.00 Uhr im Walt Disney Concert auftreten Halle in Los Angeles, auftreten.Karriere-Highlights für John, 1972 Coupe Mondiale World Champion, Auftritte mit dem Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic New Music Group, Pasadena Pops / Symphony, Pacific Symphony, Long Beach Opera, Jacaranda Music und Idyllwild Arts Orchestra. Johns LA Philharmonic-Performance ist Teil von Marcos Balters neuem Kammermusikwerk, einer LA Philharmonic-Kommission mit dem Titel "Things Fall Apart"; Noten für Holzbläser, Blechbläser, Schlagzeug, Harfe, Klavier, Akkordeon und Streicher. Marcos Balter wurde in Rio de Janeiro geboren und studierte in den USA mit Auszeichnung an der Northwestern University. Er hat Positionen an mehreren Universitäten inne und ist derzeit Associate Professor für Musikkomposition an der Montclair State University. Das Konzert wird von Mitgliedern des LA Philharmonic (Susanna Mälkki, Dirigent), The Lyris Quartett, Joanne Pearce Martin, Klavier und Charles Bascou, Elektronik präsentiert.   Renowned Finnish accordionist Mika Väyrynen has been appointed as Docent of Accordion at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste/Zürich University of the Arts (ZHdK) in Zurich, Switzerland.Offering Bachelor, Master and Post Graduate studies and degrees, the ZHdK application deadline for students wishing to begin accordion studies in September 2018 is the 15th March 2018. The Accordion entrance examinations will take place on 3rd May 2018. ZHdK offers numerous possibilities for student exchange with about 140 Universities around the world. With around 2,800 students and 650 teaching staff, the Zurich University of the Arts is one of the major universities of the Arts in Europe. The University Campus features many venues for exhibitions and performances, where the results of the education provided can be showcased to the public. A degree program resulting in a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree lasts three years and can be taken in the following subject areas at ZHdK: Art Education, Contemporary Dance, Design, Film, Media and Art, Music, Music and Movement and Theatre. A Master’s degree program ending in a Master of Arts (MA) degree generally requires three to four semesters of full-time study. Master of Arts Degrees are offered in Art Education, Composition and Theory, Design, Film, Fine Arts, Music Performance, Specialized Music Performance, Music Pedagogy, Theatre and Trans-disciplinary Studies. In addition, there is also a wide range of continuing education available leading to qualifications in Master of Advanced Studies (MAS), Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) and Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS). Mika Väyrynen has distinguished himself as one of the world's leading exponents of the accordion with worldwide performances as a soloist, a chamber musician and with symphony orchestra, his recording work, his teaching at the elite academic institutions Finland, his global Master Classes and working with some of the world's leading and most well known composers, inspiring them to create valuable new repertoire for the accordion. In addition to teaching in Zurich, Mika will continue teaching at The Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and The Tampere University of Applied Sciences in Tampere, Finland.  Excerpts from a news article written by Herman Fuselier, published by The Advertiser, KLFY.com, Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc.Musicians from as far as Japan are mourning the loss of Larry Miller’s accordion shop in Iota, which a fire destroyed Sunday night. For 40 years, Miller used the shop to build his brand name “Bon Tee Cajun” accordions, a popular model played by Cajun and zydeco musicians. The shop also served as a cultural learning center. Through the years, Miller, along with his grandson Jay Miller, taught apprentices how to build accordions in a program requiring at least 240 hours of instruction. Miller’s shop also contained nine antique accordions, including rare, German models from the 1930s and one by the late Sidney Brown of Lake Charles, considered the first builder in Louisiana. Miller used the antiques as teaching tools locally and at cultural presentations across the country. News of the blaze drew hundreds of disappointed responses on Facebook. Yoshi-take Nakabayashi, leader of the Zydeco Kicks band in Tokyo, wrote “The workshop that made my accordion burned … Fortunately, there was no injury.” Miller plans to rebuild, with assistance from volunteers and former apprentices. Miller said the fire officials believe electrical wiring started the blaze. Miller had retired a year and a half ago from accordion building. He was still making repairs and helping his grandson possibly start his own business. |

The concert programme features music from the movies.LAO was previously known as the Morley Accordion Orchestra, founded in 1999. In 2013 they performed at the World Music Festival in Innsbruck, Austria, and in 2014 changed their name to the London Accordion Orchestra. |

 Der renommierte finnische Akkordeonist Mika Väyrynen hat Ende des Jahres 2017 eine Reihe von Weltpremieren und Werken finnischer Komponisten aufgeführt.Die erste Uraufführung war ein neues Werk von Aulis Sallinens Dance Music Suite Op. 107 'für Akkordeon, Violine, Cello und Klavier. Die Uraufführung von Mika Väyrynen fand am 8. September 2017 im Rahmen des Loviisa Sibelius Festivals in der Kirche von Porvoo statt. Am 11. Oktober 2017 spielte Mika (Bild rechts) anlässlich des 50. Geburtstagskonzerts "Suomi 100 - Väyrynen 50" von Mika in der Camerata Halle des Musikzentrums in Helsinki ein finnisches Programm, das sechs Weltpremieren umfasste und seine Premiere feierte neueste CD, die Akkordeonwerke des verstorbenen Jouni Kaipainen (1956-2015). Ich bedanke mich sehr herzlich bei Mika, dass er einige seiner Gedanken und Ansichten und uns über seine Arbeit mit einigen der herausragendsten Komponisten Finnlands mit uns geteilt hat. Juni 2018 in Auckland stattfinden, sind ab sofort verfügbar unter: 2018 NZ ProspektDie Regeln für die internationalen Kategorien entsprechen den Regeln des Coupe Mondiale's. Die Kategorie der internationalen Konzertmusik für den Südpazifik sind gleich den Regeln der Kategorie "Coupe Mondiale Masters", und die Kategorie "South Pacific Entertainment" der Kategorie "Coupe Mondiale Virtuoso Entertainment". Ebenso Junior (unter 18 Jahren) South Pacific Entertainment-Kategorie. Die South Pacific Junior Solokonzert Kategorie hat die gleichen Regeln wie die erste Runde der Kategorie Coupe Mondiale Junior. Anmeldeschluss ist der 14. April 2018.
