20eme Concours International de Moscou Festival "Bayan et Bayanistes" - Russieby Dr Herbert Scheibenreif Manager of Friedrich Lips Productions |
 Avec la participation de l'organisme fédéral de la culture, de Russie Académie de la musique de Gnessine et le Fonds Friedrich Lips, organise le traditionnel XXeme Festival International "Bayan et bayanistes" qui a eu lieu dans la salle de concert de la Fédération de Russie Gnessine Académie de Musique à Moscou du 10 au 14 Décembre 2008. Cette année, le festival a eu la supervision de Friedrich Lips qui fête son 60eme anniversaire et 40 ans d'activité de concert. Cela peut être dit sans exagération puisque tous les cinq concerts ont été joué par lui-même ou au moins par les étudiants et les diplômés de sa classe d’accordéon.  La région de Rostov-sur-le-Don a une forte vague de Jazz suit avec de nombreux Festivals de jazz qui se sont tenue dans la région. Avant son concert, Frank a visité l’ Ecole de Jazz de Rostov et a été très impressionné par le niveau élevé des performances lors du concert de la Destky Jazz Orchester en son honneur! Rostov est devenue un pôle de Jazz au cours des dernières années. Le16 Décembre le légendaire accordéoniste américain Frank Marocco a apparu sur scène au Gorki Théâtre académique d'Etat de Rostov-sur-le-Don, avec le célèbre Rostov Jazz Quartet "New Sentropezn», dirigé par Aram Rustamyants. Les 1000 places de la salle était pleins pour ce concert organisé par la Fondation internationale de la musique l '«harmonie». En performance avec Frank Marocco ont été les accordéonistes américain John Simkus et Stas Venglevski. Ce duo a réalisé la première partie du concert pour un public qui la très apprécié. Aussi l'exercice a été Alexander Poeluev avec le "New Sentropezn« Quatuor bénéficiant d'une forte renommée. Pour la deuxième partie du concert, Frank Marocco - Le roi de l'improvisation, avec le "New Sentropezn« Quatuor ont été une sensation, que le public a adoré. Ces merveilleux musiciens de jazz parle sans mots! Frank Marocco a été déplacé aux larmes par le rapport entre les musiciens et le public qui a été très joyeux et ému par la performance aussi. Un concert triomphal par Marocco, les amis américain Simkus et Venglevski, le «New Sentropezn« Quatuor et Poueliev. |
Owen Murray et Smith Quartet en Concert, London - Royaume-Uniby Rob Howard |
 Owen Murray effectue un logiciel qui inclut la "Sérénade sur les rives de l'océan cosmique", avec le Smith Quartet, au Wigmore Hall de Londres, le 5 Janvier á 17h30. C'est le concert qui devait avoir lieu l'année dernière mais a été annulé en raison de problèmes de santé, il est bon de voir que Owen Murray de retour pour des concerts, où son émission comprend également des œuvres de Gubaidulina, Schnittke et Abrahamsen. Owen première "Sérénade sur les rives de l'océan cosmique" à l'Aldeburgh Festival, après avoir été commandé par Poul Ruders, de Danemark le premier compositeur contemporain. Le professeur Owen Murray est bien connu pour son travail dans la production de haut vol d’accordéonistes à la Royal Academy of Music depuis 1986, et pour avoir élargi le répertoire de musique écrits spécialement pour l'accordéon. Il a également joué avec de nombreuses grandes orchestres, y compris le BBC Symphony Orchestra, le BBC Concert Orchestra, le City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, le BBC National Orchestra of Wales, le London Philharmonia Orchestra, le London Philharmonic Orchestra, le Glyndebourne Touring Opera Orchestra, le Scottish Chamber Orchestra, et de la SWF Sinfonieorchestra Baden-Baden.  Le présent numéro du magazine finlandais d’accordéon "Hanuri», Vol. 4-2008, est maintenant disponible. Ce numéro contient des rapports de plusieurs manifestations internationales: la Coupe Mondiale en Ecosse, le Festival d'accordéon à Moscou, un article de fond sur le système russe de musique scolaire, des rapports de la compétition Roland en Italie, 30eme anniversaire de l'accordéon dans l’ Académie Sibelius en Finlande, Pärnu Festival en Estonie, etc Dans ce magazine, il ya un article de sport finlandais Satu-Nummela Mäkelä, qui a remporté la médaille d'or dans la Women's Trap événement aux jeux Olympiques de 2008 à Beijing. Elle joue l'accordéon comme hobby, et a été interviewé pour le magazine. Le magazine finlandais "Hanuri" est envoyé gratuitement à tous les 4500 en Finlande ainsi que de plusieurs adresses internationales, y compris les membres de la CIA. | Un nouveau CD du Nuevo Tango Trio, nommé «Adios Astor», dédié à Astor Piazzolla, a été libéré. Nuevo Tango Trio sont Emir Bosnjak - bandonéon et arrangements, Jens Munch - piano, et Mads Uldall - contrebasse. Tous les 3 musiciens ont été formés de la Royal Academy of Music dans la convention d'Aarhus. Astor Piazzolla probablementn’a jamais rêvé de la popularité de sa musique à atteindre carsa musique est joué et entendue dans grande partie du monde. Par conséquent, il n'est pas vraiment si étrange que trois jeunes vivant au Danemark joue sa musique et ont consacrer un CD à lui. Ce n'est pas un court fièvre qui a frappé ou une soudaine explosion de nostalgie vers l'hémisphère sud (pas un événement rare dans la froide Scandinavie!), C'est tout simplement parce que la musique de Piazzolla a été déplacée à un tel degré qu'ils ne peuvent pás y resister. |

  It is 80 years since the beginning of the accordion bayan department of the Rostov College of Art. In the concert hall of the college, a concert was held on December 6th "In memory of Teachers" to honor all those teachers who opened the office, worked through the years, telling about them with accompanying slide show of photos of that period. Current Head of the office is one of the first students Sergei Galkin. Among the graduates is some of the best known of all accordionists, winners of international competitions, People's Artist of Russia, including Viacheslav Semionov, the Honored Artist of Russia, Yuri Shishkin, Vladimir Ushenin, Anatoly Zaikin Vladimir Shishin, winners Klingental, Gregory Osmanov, Michael, Zatsepin, Leonid Bondarenko, Leonid Setrakov, bright young artistes Alexander Poeluev, Danil Stadnyuk, and many other famous artists and educators. A Principal was the famous composer, People's Artist of Russia, Anatoli Kusiakov, whose compositions are performed in concerts and competitions all over the world. In honor of the memory of these teachers there was a concert attended by teachers and students from all over the Rostov region. The concert was attended by bayan orchestras, ensembles, with over 100 musicians involved. Along with the young players, two well-known artists Yuri Shishkin and Alexander Poeluev also performed. The concert attracted great interest and was a colossal success. |

 Bruce Millers European Accordion Festival held recently at Aberdeen Arts Centre, Scotland, was organised by Norman English. Concert performers included accordionists Romano Viazzani, Ksenija Sidorova, Norman English, Craig Paton, Tom Orr, and Gordon Middler.Norman English began the concert using a Roland FR7 and an acoustic accordion, playing ‘El Cumbanchero’, ‘A Bright Star in Cepheus’, ‘Highland Cathedral’, ‘Norwegian Wood’, and ‘Summertime’, as well as bringing smiles of amazement with the unique sounds of the Roland’s “scat voices” used to set off ‘Sweet Georgia Brown’. Romano Viazzani’s program included: ‘Winter’ (‘Four Seasons’) – Vivaldi, ‘Prelude and Fugue in C minor’ - J.S.Bach, ‘Party Chambers’ - Paul Weller, ‘Tango Pour Claude’ – R. Galliano, ‘Jealousy’ – J. Gade, ‘Indifference’ – Colombo/Murena, ‘Il Silenzio Fuori Ordinaza’ - G.Stok, and ‘Carnival of Venice Variations’ – N. Paganini. Romano admirably demonstrated the versatility of the accordion and when he handed the stage over to Ksenija Sidorova, it was obvious that the audience was about to be enjoy another dimension. Ksenija, from Latvia, proved to be a mature, impressive and talented accordionist. Her program included: ‘French Suite’ – JS Bach, ‘12 Variations on a theme’ - WA Mozart, ‘October’ from ‘The Seasons’ - PI Tchaikovsky, and ‘Who’s the Puppet?’ – A. Vassiliev. The finale with Romano Viazzani joining Ksenija Sidorova in an amusing musical conversation, performing ‘Clarinet Polka’ (arranged by Lars Holm), gave the audience a light hearted end to what had been a truly exhilarating evening. |

 On December 7th 2008, Hansel Quesada, from Mahates, was crowned like new Accordion Champion of the 33rd Festival Bolivarense, which was held in the sports Center of Arjona, in the State of Boloivar. Second was Freddy Jattín, and third was Omar Fernández. The festival, postponed from its usual summer date, was well supported as usual, and offers a presentation of Colombian folk music, song and dance. In Colombia, diatonic button accordions were introduced in the 19th Century and are the most numerous of the free reed instruments, used extensively in traditional music. In the Accordion Entertainment Category, the first place went to Javier Álvarez, of Valledupar; with Gustavo Rodriguez, of Monteria, second, and Camilo Carvajal, of Valledupar, in third place. The Junior Championship was won by Camilo Molina, with Duván Pérez in second place. |

 On December 31st Guy Klucevsek – accordion, and Alan Bern - accordion/piano, will perform at First Night®, Oil City, Pennsylvania, an alcohol-free, family-oriented celebration of the arts, which has been held annually since 1998.Klucevsek and Bern will do sets at 8, 9, 10 and 11pm, performing selections from their two ‘Winter & Winter’ recordings, ‘Accordance’ (2000) and ‘Notefalls’ (2007). Since its debut in 1997, First Night® has received high praise for the quality and variety of entertainment and experiences it offers. First Night® has welcomed a steady stream of between 3,000 to 5,000 people who have come despite frigid weather. Shuttle buses transport people throughout the town to indoor sites where performances are scheduled. Revelers wishing to brave the cold are warmed at the bonfires throughout the city. People wear crazy, decorative hats, walk through rooms filled with balloons, parade down the street making noise, view two fireworks displays, visit their choices of entertainment options, and sample great food.  Accordionist Fintan Stanley and the duo Irish Express perform at Cape Cod Irish Village, 512 Main Street, West Yarmouth, on New Year’s Eve, December 31st.Born in County Louth, Ireland, in 1941, in 1955 Fintan Stanley became the first player to win an All-Ireland Championship using a Continental button accordion. He has lived in the USA since the 1970s, and has performed in several European countries and Australia. Irish Express are John Connors – accordion and guitar, and Martin Battle – guitar and harmonica. |

| The Coupe Mondiale international accordion competition run by the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA), has had the website has updated with all the rules and regulations for the 2009 Coupe Mondiale to be held in Auckland City, New Zealand, 25 to 29 August. For the first time, the Coupe Mondiale now has a Digital Accordion Category with rules that are different than what might be expected. |
