 "One of the founding fathers of the accordion, Mr Zhang Ziqiang passed away at the age of ninety. The accordion world is very sad. "Zhang Ziqiang, born in 1929 in Shanghai, is a professor of Chinese People's Liberation Army Academy of Arts, honorary president of the Accordion Association of Chinese Musicians Association, part-time professor of Music Education Department of the China Conservatory of Music and distinguished professor of the Art College in Beijing Normal University. He used to be the supervisor of the Beijing accordion professional group, the third president of the Accordion Association and the deputy director of the fifth social musical Commission of Chinese Musicians Association as well as the accordion performer of the General Political Department Art Ensemble of Chinese People's Liberation Army."
