Mai 2023 in Stainz in der Südsteiermark stattfinden wird.Die Veranstaltung umfasst den Österreichischen Wettbewerb für Akkordeon-Solisten, Duos, Ensembles, Kammermusik und Weltmusik. Darüber hinaus wird der 4. Internationale Erich Moser Gedenkwettbewerb für Steirische Harmonika ausgetragen. Die Anmeldungen werden im Jänner 2023 eröffnet. |

 Das Duo Moldo, zu dem auch der Akkordeonist Radu Ratoi (Moldawien) gehört, wird bei den Feierlichkeiten zum rumänischen Nationalfeiertag auftreten, die am 3. Dezember 2022 um 10 Uhr im Skive Theater in Skive, Dänemark, stattfinden und vom rumänisch-dänischen Kulturverein in Skive organisiert werden.Die Veranstaltung umfasst verschiedene Aktivitäten für Kinder und Erwachsene, wie z. B. Ballontiere, Weinverkostung, Produkte rumänischer Unternehmer, Unterhaltung und Musik. Der Eintritt ist frei! |

 Video oben: The Holy City, komponiert von Stephen Adams, einem Lieblingslied von Marie Jones, vorgetragen von Alanah Jones und Vater Maurice Jones bei der Marie Jones Celebration of Life am 13. November 2022.Marie Jones (oben) im Alter von 90 Jahren im Kreise ihrer Familie. Kurz vor ihrem 94. Geburtstag verstarb Marie Evelyn Jones in den Lady Allum Care Suites. Nachdem sie vor kurzem an Covid, einem gebrochenen Bein und zwei Schlaganfällen gelitten hatte, ist sie nun zur Ruhe gekommen. Am 13. November fand eine private Einäscherung und eine Lebensfeier statt, um ein langes und erfülltes Leben zu würdigen, das dem Akkordeon und der Familie gewidmet war. Marie Jones war die geliebte Mutter der Akkordeonisten Harley Jones, Maurice Jones und Heather Masefield und geliebte Großmutter von Amber Masefield, Grayson Masefield und Alanah Jones. Sie hinterlässt ihre Schwester Nita Rotherham, die letzte ihrer 6 Geschwister. Fast 60 Jahre lang lebte sie in der O'Neills Ave 4, Accordion House Importer/Retailer, was bedeutete, dass täglich viele Anrufe und Besucher kamen, um zunächst ihren Ehemann Allan Jones und dann nach 1980 ihren Sohn Maurice Jones zu besuchen, der in diesen Räumlichkeiten Akkordeons für den australischen Markt importierte. Im Oktober 2003 wurde Marie Jones auf dem CIA-Kongress in Ungarn als erste Person mit dem Honored Friend of the Accordion Award der Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) für ihren langjährigen Beitrag zum Akkordeon in Neuseeland sowie für ihre Arbeit bei internationalen Veranstaltungen in Neuseeland ausgezeichnet. | Ein Jahr vor seinem Tod, im Herbst 1827, vollendete Schubert die Winterreise als Liederzyklus nach Texten von Wilhelm Muller. »Sie haben mich mehr angegriffen, als dieses je bei anderen Liedern der Fall war«, meinte der Komponist selbst über sein Werk. Notengetreu, ohne Arrangements, erklingen die Partituren von Schubert 1:1 auf dem Akkordeon und ermöglichen dem Zuhörer, das ihm bekannte Werk in einer völlig neuen Klangfarbe, einem bis dato unbekannten dynamischen Spektrum zu erleben. Das Akkordeon mit seiner Komplexität und Fähigkeit zum »Singen« bietet einen unvergleichlichen Reiz, Schuberts Lieder zu begleiten. Neben Auftritten an allen großen Opernhäusern weltweit widmet Bo Skovhus einen großen Teil seiner Zeit dem Liedgesang. Als Spitzeninterpret seiner Generation wird er von allen bedeutenden Festspielen und Musikzentren der Welt laufend eingeladen. Nikola Djorić, in Bor (Serbien) geborener und in Wien lebender Akkordeonist, gilt als eines der größten Talente seines Faches in Österreich. Nicht zuletzt dank seiner großen musikalischen Hingabe auf der Bühne wurde er bereits als »Poet am Akkordeon« bezeichnet. Sein erfolgreiches Streben ist es, mit dem Klangspektrum des Akkordeons neue und bisher ungekannte Farbtöne in Werken von Bach über Beethoven, Schubert, Mozart bis hin zu Tschaikowsky zu präsentieren. |

 Renzo Ruggieri (concert accordionist, composer, teacher of jazz and modern accordion) released a podcast this week.Renzo says: “I've been thinking a lot about how to start this podcast. Talking about yourself is always dangerous. However, I am convinced that it was necessary to do so in order to understand the reasons for this initiative….my artistic activity follows 3 distinct paths: Performer, Composer, Teacher. After all, audio without images does not differ from a photo without color, in black and white. Today's society offers too much of everything and the contemporary artist cannot fail to be influenced by it. His poetics is enriched daily with stimuli at the expense of deepening. He finds himself continually creating new and varied projects. Here... this podcast wants to tell my music by describing the different projects and the choices that generated them. The song I chose in the background for this podcast is called “La Letter” and it's part of a very important record for me: Opera." |

Januar 2023 in Sursee, Luzern, Schweiz statt, organisiert von accordeon.chDie Veranstaltungen beinhalten Akkordeonkurse von Lionel Chapuis (Schweiz), Silke D'Inka (Deutschland), Johannes Münzner (Österreich) und Ian Watson (England). Dirigierkurs: von Stefan Hippe (Deutschland). Meisterklasse für Solisten: Fanny Vicens (Frankreich/Schweiz). Ian Watson (Bild oben) wird einen Orchesterkurs für Fortgeschrittene mit dem Thema "Drama" abhalten.   Die "Akkordeon-Kreuzfahrt" 2023 an Bord der "Baltic Princess" (Bild oben) wird am 25. und 26. März 2023 vom finnischen Akkordeonverband Suomen Harmonikkaliitto (SHL) organisiert.Das Kreuzfahrtschiff für rund 2.000 Passagiere "ist ausschließlich für Akkordeonisten reserviert und gleicht fast 24 Stunden lang einem riesigen Akkordeon-Musikparadies". Es legt am 25. März 2023 um 18.30 Uhr in Turku ab und fährt nach Kapellskär, bevor es am 26. März 2023 um 16.30 Uhr nach Turku zurückkehrt. Während der gesamten Reise wird an den Auftrittsorten und in den Gängen des Schiffes eine Vielzahl von Akkordeonunterhaltung geboten.
