| Das jährliche Sata-Häme Soi Accordion Festival findet in Ikaalinen, Finnland, vom Juni 29 - Juli 4 statt. Ab dem 29. Juni gibt es tägliche Online-Berichterstattung des Sata-Häme Soi Festivals. Dieser große Event umfasst den im Fernsehen übertragenen internationalen Primus Ikaalinen Akkordeon-Wettbewerbe, nationale, diatonische Wettbewerbe, den Roland V Akkordeon Wettbewerb, tägliche Konzerte mit vielseitigen Veranstaltungen und sogar eine Akkordeon-Kreuzfahrt auf dem See. Es gibt alle Arten von Musik zu geniessen – von Klassik und Jazz bis Folk und Tex Mex. Texas Folklife körnt Keyun Dickson zum 2010 Big Squeeze Gewinner, Houston - USAby Rita Davidson Barnea |
 Am 5. Juni wurde Keyun Dickson während des Texas Folklife’s 21. jährlichem Akkordeon Kings & Queens Festival in Houston’s Miller Outdoor Theatre in Houston, zum Gewinner des Big Squeeze Akkordeon Wettbewerbes gekrönt. Die restlichen Finalisten waren Ignacio Isai Morales, (14 Jahre aus Dallas), Ruben Moreno Paul (20 Jahre aus Houston) und Jesus Zamora, Jr., (19 Jahre aus San Antonio). Das2010 Festivalprogramm präsentierte außerdem: - Albert Zamora - Thomas Leroy und die Zydeco Roadrunners - Eva Ybarra und die Tschechischen Texas Legacy Band - Avizo Der 2010 Big Squeeze Gewinner Keyun Dickson lernte das Akkordeon durch seine Mutter und Großmutter kennen. Seine Lieblingsmusik war Zydeco, und begann bereits in allerjüngstem Alter von drei Jahren an zu spielen, autodidaktisch durch das Hören von Aufnahmen seines Akkordeonhelden Rideau Step aus Houston. Mit 12 gründete er seine erste Band namens Keyun und Zydeco Masters, die nun regelmäßig Konzerte in Jazz Cafés und Cajun Restaurants geben . Er liebt die Musik und das Akkordeonspiel, doch gibt es noch andere Vorteile für einen 18-Jährigen, wie er sagt: "Ich mag alle Mädchen, die herkommen, um die Musik zu" hören! Keyun Dickson erhält Preise im Wert von $ 3.000, einschließlich 1.000 $ Preisgeld, ein brandneues Hohner Akkordeon, Aufnahme-Session im historischen Sugarhill Recording Studios in Houston, Promotions-Unterstützung von Hohner, Inc., Sugarhill und Texas Folklife. Einer der Preise ist während des Akkordeon Kings & Queens Festivals vor Akkordeon Legenden, Musikindustrie, und einer großen Schar von begeisterten Musikliebhabern aufzutreten. AATA Gala Konzert, Sydney – Australienby John Macdonald |
 Die Australische Akkordeonlehrer Organisation (Accordion Teachers 'Association AATA) hielt ihre jährlichen Meisterschaften kürzlich in Sydney. John MacDonald fühlte sich sehr geehrt, Teil des Gala-Konzertes zu sein, welches im Marconi Club am Sonntag, 13. Alle Interpreten gaben einem höchst dankbaren Publikum ihr Bestes und es gab einige großartige Leistungen von vielen talentierten Künstlern wie z.B. Sydney-Balalaika-Orchester (MD Victor Serghie), Tracey Collins (NZ) John MacDonald, John Cave und Nerida Farmer, Edin Kocic (unter 15 Champion), The Accordigles (MD Steve Marx), Bin Lu (China) Internat. Akkordeon Open Champion, und dem in Sydney ansässigen "Funkordion" Akkordeon-Ensemble (MD Steve Marx). Das Konzert wurde vom AATA Vizepräsident Ivan Liashenko und Vorstandsmitglied Milojka Garovic moderiert . Der Höhepunkt des Abends war als der weltbekannte Akkordeonist Enzo Toppano als Sondergast dem Publikum vorgestellt wurde.  Der russische Akkordeonist und Violinist Yuri Medianik hat begonnen sich auf der Bühne als Dirigent zu präsentieren und die Öffentlichkeit nimmt dies mit Begeisterung an, vor allem weil Yuri wie immer sein Publikum versucht, nicht zu enttäuschen.Das Konzert am 3. Juni mit dem Kammer Orchester "Pluri_Art" wurde von Yuri Medianik dirigiert, welches er seit 3 Jahren leitet und managt. Außerdem nahmen in diesem Konzert die Solisten des Bolschoi-Theaters, Maxim Paster (Tenor) und Aleksandr Zaharov (Tenor) teil. Die Konzerthalle mit 600 Sitzplätzen war voll besetzt. Aufgeführt wurden neapolitanische Lieder und russische klassische Musik. In der zweiten Hälfte des Konzerts präsentierete Yuri einige Solos auf der Geige sowie dem berühmten Libertango auf dem Bandoneon begleitete vom Pluri_Art Kammerorchester. | On June 12th the final concert of the ‘Accordion High School’ students was presented at the Italian Accordion Academy in Urbino, which had a ‘theatre in the nature’ theme: sunset, night-fall, fireflies, wind, crickets and music, dance, video performances (and tasty homemade food and wine!!) David Sarnelli, Luca Pignata, Christian Riganelli, Jutta Winter, Ezio Ghibaudo performed works by John Cage, Toshio Hosokawa, Erik Satie, Domenico Scarlatti, Astor Piazzolla, J.S.Bach, and traditional music from Bulgaria together with a video projection and dance. The event included the participation of the tutors Claudio Jacomucci and Kathleen Delaney, who held an accordion and Alexander Technique course. They presented their evocative performance ‘Eurydice in the Earth’, inspired by the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice (for accordion, dance and electronics), and the acrobatic work by the Brazilian composer Egberto Gismonti, ‘Baiao Malandro’, danced (on a roof) by Kathleen in Capoeira style. Next year’s course, 2010-2011, will be based on: the study of advanced techniques, the Alexander Technique, master classes in solo interpretation, contemporary chamber music, plus multimedia performance (dance, electronics, video, voice, music, interaction). During the year, the students will present new works in public concerts, collaborating with composers, festivals and other instrument classes of music academies and conservatories in Italy and in the Netherlands. | Der junge Dwayne Verheyden, bereits bestens bekannter Hohner Corona Spieler aus Holland, hat auf dem Tejano Conjunto Festival in Texas, USA zusammen mit seiner Band, den TexMeXplosion die Zuhörer begeistert. Sein großes Vorbild, der mehrfache Grammy Gewinner Flaco Jimenez, ist sehr angetan von diesem großen Talent und unterstützt ihn in seiner musikalischen Entwicklung. Als Highlight durfte Dwayne zusammen mit Flaco auf dem Festival spielen. Auch die große Corona Spieler Legende Steve Jordan und ‘The Dancing Cowboy’ Mingo Saldivar hat Dwayne kennenlernen dürfen. Der Auftritt in USA hat sowohl bei Dwayne als auch beim Publikum beim Festival in USA bleibenden Eindruck hinterlassen. | This month, in Poland, four very successful concerts took place in Brzeg, Oborniki, and Wroclaw, featuring Swietlana Ermolenko of Moscow (vocals, guitar, accordion), Olexiy Suslov (accordion), with the S-ART group, from Wroclaw. S-ART’s members are Paulina Wróblewska (piano), Piotr Wróblewski (drums) and Monika Gorzelana (violin). The final concert took place in this week in the Club of the Music and Literature in Wroclaw.  The 13th edition of the accordion section at the International Music Competition Val Tidone was held over the past weekend.The International Music Competitions of Val Tidone started in 1998 in Pianello Val Tidone with the objective to contribute to the development of young artists in the complex world of performing and is supported by the Foundation of Piacenza and Vigevano, as part of a program of historic, natural, artistic and gastronomic enhancement of Val Tidone, also named “pearl of the province of Piacenza”. In the Young Talents section, the accordionist Tommaso Arena, student of tutor Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi, was acclaimed winner of the competition.  The 20th Jewish Culture Festival takes place at the Galicia Jewish Museum, June 26th to July 4th. This festival covers many aspects of historical and contemporary Jewish art, music, drama and literature, and includes personal appearances by Israeli composer, pianist and accordionist Boris Malkovsky, and the Klezmer band Nazzar. | The Lindesnes Accordion Club performs two concerts on July 3rd, 3pm and 6.30pm, at the prestigious Den Norske Opera & Ballett, Kirsten Flagstads plass 1, 0105 Oslo. Lindesnes AC has 55 accordionists, and have visited most of Norway's largest concert halls and have also given concerts in 31 US states, 2 Canadian provinces and in several European countries.
