Roland & Dallapé Sign Historical Agreement - Italy

Roland & Dallapé
Dallapé SignOn Tuesday, 14th September 2010  a historical Agreement was signed in the City of Stradella, Lombardia, Italy, between the multinational Japanese company Roland and one of the oldest accordion manufacturers in Italy, the company Dallapé. Roland & Dallapé Report

The Dallapé Accordion Factory will finish production at the end of 2010, but thanks to the sale of its prestigious name to the famous Japanese electronics factory, Roland, the name "Dallapé" will survive over time and even enhance its prestigious reputation in the history of music world.

Roland and Dallapé have agreed to continue the long lasting Dallape history and to transform the original “Dallapé Sound” into a new digital system, that can easily be adapted as an additional option to any V-Accordion ROLAND.

The wonderful Dallapé sound is therefore not only retained for future generations in pristine sound conditions perfectly sampled, but will also expand with more options available, and expand to every part of the world, being easily operated and accessible in future to large numbers of accordionists.

The agreement signing was followed by a press conference in the Stradella City Hall in the presence of Alfredo Maroni (Roland Europe President), Amleto Dallapé and Bianca Maria Dallapé, Luigi Bruti (Marketing Director of Roland Europe and a founder of the V-Accordion),  the Mayor Pierangelo Lombardi (City of Stradella), Carlo Aguzzi (Director of the Museum in Stradella) as well as journalists, TV and local media reporters.

‘Kramer & Wolmer – A 78s Compilation’ CD, Manchester – UK

Gorni KramerIn 1947 Gorni Kramer and Wolmer Beltrami, then two of Italy’s foremost accordionists, joined forces for the next seven years as the duo Kramer & Wolmer, performing to great acclaim around Europe. They only made a few recordings together, and most are now on the new CD ‘Kramer & Wolmer – A 78s Compilation’. In 1954 the duo split as each wanted to resume their solo careers. However, for a generation of accordion enthusiasts, Kramer & Wolmer were the standard by which all other accordion duos were compared.

The CD tracks are ‘Play the Accordion’, ‘My Beautiful Rose’, ‘Lady and the Waltz’, ‘Green Eyes’, ‘Tarantella Boogie’, ‘Air Mail Special’, ‘Brilliant Polka’, ‘Italian Polka’, ‘Clap Hands Polka’, ‘Danish Polka’, ‘Caravana Negra’, ‘The Train’

Gorni Kramer (1913–1995) went on to become one of Italy’s most successful songwriters, and Wolmer Beltrami (1922–1999) – awarded the CMA World Oscar for his services to the accordion in 1960 - later became involved with the cinema, recording many film soundtracks.
