 Le célèbre accordéoniste russe Friedrich Lips a les engagements suivants pour la première moitié de l’année 2012:20 Fevrier, de 10h à 17h - master class au Recital Room, Royal Academy of Music, Londres. Ce master class se focalisera sur les œuvres pour accordéon de Sofia Gubaidulina, qui sont pour la plupart dédiées à Friedrich Lips. 12-15 Mars - master class à Kasan, Russie 19 Mars – Jour russe de l’accordéon, du bayan et de l’harmonica, Moscou 22-23 Mars – Président du jury à Tver, Russie 29 Mars au 3 Avril - master class à Petrosovodsk, Russie 10 au 14 avril - concerts avec orchestra de chambre (Bronner, Piazzolla) à Kurgan et Magnitogorsk, Russie 28 April – master class au conservatoire de Den Haag, Hollande 8-12 Juillet - workshop au ‘Musikforum Viktring’, Carinthia, Autriche Friedrich Lips (né en 1948) est le professeur principal du department d’accordéon de l’académie Gnessin à Moscou. Il s’est illustré autant en tant que professeur qu’en tant que concertiste, il a fait de nombreuses tournées internationales et enregistré 23 CD’s, qui sont disponibles sur son site web. Il a arrangé et transcrit de nombreuses œuvres, à l’origine écrite pour orgue ou piano. Friedrich Lips est régulièrement invité comme juge lors des concours internationaux d’accordéon, et il est l’organisateur et directeur artistique du festival international « bayan et bayanistes », qui se tient chaque année à Moscou depuis 1989.  Brendan Power, de Nouvelle-Zélande, est l’un des meilleurs joueurs d’harmonica au monde, tandis que l’anglais Tim Edey est un excellent musician, tant en accordéon diatonique qu’à la guitare acoustique. Brendan Power et Tim Edey ont gagné le prix du meilleur duo de la radio BBC2, et Tim Edey a été élu “Meilleur Musicien” lors d’un show televise, le 10 février à Manchester, UK. Leur CD « Wriggle and Writhe », récemment sorti, présente avec brio la complémentarité de l’harmonica et de l’accordéon diatonique. | ‘Soundbreaker’ est un film documentaire de 86 minutes au sujet de la vie et de la carrière de l’accordéoniste finnois Kimmo Pohjonen, proposant des interviews, des histoires, des photos de la musique, de la video et du materiel d’archive de Pohjonen, récoltés durant 35 ans de carrière. Le film est dirigé par Kimmo Koskela et produit par Kimmo Koskela et Klaus Heydemann.  Le 14ème festival annuel Kokkola a lieu du 19 au 26 février, organise par Raimo Vertainen. Le festival Kokkola présente l’accordéon dans sa grande diversité, avec du classique, de la musique folklorique, des œuvres modernes et sacrées, du jazz de la danse, de la chanson, de la variété. Le programme comprendra également des évènements en plein-air. Les visiteurs peuvent également se réjouir de voir de la danse et du théâtre contemporains, des films, the Great Light Music Concerts ‘In the Name of Love’ et ‘Squeezebox’. Il y aura également des ballons à air chaud dans le parc du marché de Kokkola ! Les invites de cette année comprennnet: Renato Borghetti (Brésil), Pasi Kaunisto, the Guardia Nueva tango orchestra avec les soloistes Matti Lepänhaara et Angelika Klas, Matti Esko & Kapris, et bien d’autres. La “Petite messe solennelle” du compositeur italien Gioacchino Rossini sera interprété par un orchestre d’accordéon, piano et solistes. Sari Viinikainen, Professeur au Osthrobothnian Conservatory, jouera la partie “Harmonium” à l’accordéon.  The NAO North Central Area Festival, a qualifier for the NAO UK Championships was held on Saturday February 11th in Saltaire West Yorkshire. Picture above is: Roland UK Representative Dean Lawrence, winner Alexander Bodell, Graham Laurie adjudicator.The venue with 4 competition halls and a trade area proved to be a great success – with over 250 entries in accordion classes – all adjudicators commented on the high standard of performance with the highest mark of the day in NAO sections 94, being awarded to Alexander Bodell, who was placed first in the 4 solo categories he entered. It was good to see that the new initiative in a number of local schools in this area led to many young accordionists attending an accordion festival for the first time. Next year’s event is already being organised with the plan of moving the festival to November. The NAO UK Championships will be held at the Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool, April 27th to 29th.  Gordon Pattullo, from Blairgowrie, Perthshire, is one of Scotland’s best known and most admired accordionists, with a career dating back to the 1970s when he became an All Scotland Accordion Champion.‘Out Of My Hands’ is the title of Gordon Pattullo’s latest CD. Accompaniment is provided by Angela MacEachern (fiddle), John Crawford (piano), Brian Cruickshank (bass guitar) and Billy Young (guitar, banjo).  Massimiliano Pitocco, currently Professor at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, had a memorable New Year in 1998 by appearing on TV in Italy, then jetting off to Japan for two concerts with Yukary Nakayama. The Accordions Worldwide news for February 13th 1998 included two short items about these activities.MASSIMO PITOCCO ON THE ‘FLYING CARPET’ TV SHOW - ITALY Contributed by Paolo Picchio On January 9th Massimiliano Pitocco (bandoneon) and Rosario Mastroserio (piano) appeared on the television show ‘The Flying Carpet’, hosted by Luciano Rispoli and broadcast by Telemontecarlo. They performed pieces by Astor Piazzolla (including ‘Jeanne’, ‘Paul’, and ‘Libertango’) and took part in a talk show discussing Astor Piazzolla and the history of the bandoneon. MASSIMO PITOCCO AND YUKARI NAKAYAMA IN CONCERT - JAPAN Contributed by Holda Paoletti-Kampl Massimiliano Pitocco and Yukary Nakayama recently gave two concerts in Japan, on January 18th at the Yabakey Sunny Hall, Oita, and January 28th at the Tokamachi Town Hall, Niigata. Both concerts received warm praise by the critics and audience. On the day of the second concert, even a heavy snowfall couldn't prevent a large audience attending and enjoying the performance of the two musicians. |

 En juin 2011, avec le concours de Roland, il a animé à Saint-Sauves un premier stage autour du "swing manouche dans l'univers du numérique ».Limité à 12 stagiaires, ce stage était complet quelques jours après son annonce ! Il est vrai que l'aura de Ludovic Beier ne cesse de s'étendre sur la planète accordéon et que son époustouflant talent d'artiste, ses capacités de pédagogue alliés à sa formidable gentillesse (et à son infinie patience !, ajoutent ses stagiaires ) font de lui un acteur incontournable du paysage musical, y compris international, d'aujourd'hui. Entre deux avions, autour du même thème, Ludovic est de retour au CNIMA ! Du mardi 6 au jeudi 8 mars 2012 Contenu résumé du stage : > Pratique instrumentale et astuces techniques (accords, soufflet, basses, ?). > Approches théoriques : L'univers du MIDI et du numérique. La culture tsigane et manouche, ses rythmes, codes et conventions. > Atelier de groupe : accompagner des thèmes du jazz manouche et improviser dans le style. Astuces pour la gestion du stress, la confiance en soi. > Entretiens personnalisés autour des besoins spécifiques des stagiaires. Vous passerez trois jours en pension complète du mardi matin au jeudi soir, (possibilité d'arriver le lundi et de repartir le vendredi). Dans l'ambiance sympa du CNIMA (les étudiants du monde entier sont présents à ces dates) et l'environnement privilégié de l'Auvergne (presque au printemps). Vous l'aurez compris, il est prudent de s'inscrire vite ! NB.  ‘Piaf: The Songs’ is a tribute concert starring French vocalist Eve Loiseau, accompanied by accordionist Eddy Jay and violinist Fiona Barrow.Edith Piaf (1915-63) went from being a Paris street urchin to a legendary international star. Many of her performances and recordings feature accordion accompaniment.
