 Reportages quotidiens à : 2013Coupe, à partir du dimanche 18 août au soir.La 66ème Coupe Mondiale se tiendra du lundi 19 au samedi 24 août. Voir les reportages quotidiens, des photos et TV en streaming sur le site officiel de la Coupe Mondiale www.coupemondiale.org. Programme complet ici : 2013Coupe Il y a trois jours de compétitions pré-Coupe. Vendredi se tient le concours régional puis samedi et dimanche un concours international d’orchestres d’accordéons avec les finales dimanche soir. Dimanche matin aura lieu une parade d’accordéon dans les rues de Victoria. Les compétitions de la Coupe Mondiale débutent le lundi matin et le concert d’ouverture aura lieu le lundi soir. L’organisateur hôte de la 66ème Coupe Mondiale (2013) et la British Columbia (BC) Accordion Society, présidée par Aleksandar Milojevic, en collaboration avec la Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) et l’IMC-UNESCO Secretariat, Finlande. |

 La cérémonie de clôture du concours d’accordéon “Parrot” organisé par la China Accordion Association (CAA) s’est tenue le 13 août à Pékin. Plus de 2000 candidats ont participé à quatre concours nationaux d’accordéon durant l’été.Ce furent : 1) Le concours d’accordéon .“Nanshan”, le 21 juillet à Shenzhen Guangdong. Environ 400 candidats du sud de la Chine ont participé. 2) Le concours de claviers .“Chuncheng” (incluant le piano, l’accordéon et les instruments à deux claviers) le 1er août à Kunming, Yunnan. Environ 400 candidats du sud-ouest de la Chine s’étaient inscrits. 3) Le concours “Hohner” d’accordéon variété, le 5 août à Luoyang, Henan. Environ 900 candidats du centre de la Chine ont participé. Frédéric Deschamps, le président de la CIA, a tenu une Master-Class au cours de cet évènement. Pietro Adragna, Italie, (le vainqueur de la catégorie variété de la Coupe Mondiale 2011, qui s’était tenue à Shangaï) et Elsa Gourdy (France) ont donné un concert. 4) Le concours d’accordéon “Parrot Cup” le 10 août à Pékin pour lequel plus de 800 compétiteurs étaient présents. Le 12 août, l’Accordion Association (CAA) a tenu un important meeting. Etaients présents le Président Li Cong (photo de gauche), les Vice-Présidents: Wang Shusheng, Chen Jun, Zhang Guoping, Yang Guoli, Du Ning, le Secrétaire Général : Zhang Tianyu, les Secrétaires Généraux délégués Crystal Wang et Meng Hui. Les activités de l’association et les évènements majeurs ont été discutés et planifiés durant ce meeting. Il y aura 5 concours majeurs en 2014, ce seront : 1) Le concours national des universités et professeurs suivi de la conférence, en mai à Shangaï, organisés par la CAA et le Ministère chinois de l’éducation. 2) 3) Le concours “Hohner” d’accordéon variété, en juillet à Shenzhen, Guandong. 3) Le concours d’accordéon . “Baidi” en août, Shandong. 4) .“Harbin Summer” (Harbin 2014), festival international d’accordéon en août à Harbin, Heilongjiang , organisé par la CAA et le Ministère chinois de la Culture. 5) Le concours d’accordéon en octobre, à Wuhan Hubei. Il est probable que 2014 sera une année exceptionnelle pour l’accordéon en Chine. |

 Voici les dates de l’exposition itinérante “Les fabricants de son » :Numana (Palazzo Comunale), 25 août au 1er septembre. Osimo (Teatro la Fenice), 7 au 18 septembre. Camerano (San Francesco), 28 septembre au 12 octobre Castelfidardo (Auditorium San Francesco), 31 octobre au 16 novembre Loreto (Bastione Sangallo), 30 Novembre au 11 décembre Recanati (Palazzo Comunale), 2014 date non encore déterminée. Klingenthal, Allemagne (Musée municipal), Mai 2014 Il y a 150 ans, la fabrication industrielle des accordéons était initiée à Castelfidardo par Paolo Soprani. Il était difficile d’imaginer à cette époque que cette « étincelle » allait être suivie par une telle histoire d’ingéniosité, d’intelligence et de passion et devait mener dans cette région à la création d’une industrie de haut niveau. La Ville de Castelfidardo, avec le Musée de Castelfidardo, a décidé d’organiser une exposition itinérante qui propose, en images, une voyage dans l’histoire de la fabrication de cet instrument. Le projet inclut aussi un catalogue et une série de conférences. Chaque expo sera « personnalisée » en impliquant la ville d’accueil à travers le rôle qu’elle a joué dans l’histoire. Les expos sont organisées par Beniamino Bugiolacchi (Directeur du Museum de Castelfidardo), Fabio Buschi (photographe) et Roberto Carlorosi (graphiste) avec le soutien du conseil regional et des villes où se tiendront les expositions. Un magnifique livre de photos “Les fabricants du son” publié par Tecnostampa et réalisé par les auteurs de l’exposition sera également proposé.  Dimanche 25 août à 15 h 30 dans le square proche du Centre Burren, à Kilfenora, County Clare, le Kilfenora Ceili Band mènera une tentative de battre le record Guiness Book du plus grand band irlandais. Les musiciens doivent avoir au moins 12 ans et être capables de jouer le « Kilfenora jig ».  Sylvia Prior, born in Los Angeles, California on March 14th 1922 passed away peacefully on August 9th 2013 in Ventura, California.Sylvia taught accordion and piano in Los Angeles and later in Oxnard for nearly 60 years, carrying on the business her father started in 1917. She loved teaching music and took great pride in knowing that she had touched the lives of countless students during her career. Sylvia was also closely involved with the Accordion Federation of North America (AFNA) in various executive positions for the association over many years. The most important thing in Sylvia's life, however, was her family, especially her two daughters. Sylvia was a devoted mother who taught by example the importance of kindness, generosity and compassion. She was one of a kind and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Sylvia is survived by her daughters Adrian Jo Guidotti (David Ross) and Sylvana Louise Guidotti, M.D. (Kevin Wells), as well as her sister Patricia Kessen (Willard) and her nephew Jeffery Kessen. She is also survived by many devoted friends and her faithful dogs Gina and Scout. Sylvia was predeceased by her big sister Dorothymae Nelsen, husbands Tito Guidotti and Richard Westhouse, and her niece and goddaughter Dorothy Lee Pabst. The family would like to thank the physicians and staff who cared for Sylvia at the Ventura County Medical Center and Victoria Care Center, especially Doctors James Helmer, Joseph Esherick and Jacqueline D'Orazio. The family is also grateful to Westwood Home Care and Sylvia's primary caregiver Mida who enabled her to remain in her home with her pets for her final years. Services will be held on Saturday August 17th at 11am at Santa Clara Mortuary and Cemetery, 2370 North H Street, Oxnard, CA. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Sylvia's memory to the Sisters of Notre Dame, California Province, 1776 Hendrix Avenue, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360, Attn: Advancement Office or to your favorite charity. |

| Polish Accordion Quintet "Fantini" from Poland were performing last Saturday and Sunday at the 2013 Annual Twin Cities Polish Festival, Cultural Stage, St. Anthony Main to an appreciative audience. | Cette jeune femme chinoise a été professeur d’accordéon pour les enfants à Pékin, tandis qu’elle étudiait les Arts et Traditions de la Chine à l’Université. Après avoir obtenu une licence dans cette matière, elle a décidé de se consacrer pleinement à l’accordéon, d’atteindre un haut niveau instrumental et de suivre une formation en vue d’un Master d’enseignement. Pour la partie instrumentale, Shuang a choisi de se rendre en France au CNIMA-Jacques Mornet où elle a suivi une formation en accordéon classique à temps complet (et pension complète) sur une année. Arrivée avec un petit niveau, elle y a accompli des progrès stupéfiants au point qu’après seulement six mois de cours, Jacques Mornet, le fondateur du centre, et Nathalie Boucheix, directrice, l’ont présentée dans les concours internationaux (sur cette vidéo, une de ses prestations à Montrond-les-Bains 2013). La célèbre école française a également préparé MA Shuang à la sélection pour la HEMU, Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne (Suisse), partenaire pédagogique du CNIMA. Elle y a été reçue et y obtiendra probablement en 2014 un Master d’accordéon option pédagogie, diplôme reconnu par les autorités de son pays. Ma shuang démontre parfaitement que l’on enseigne aussi bien l’accordéon à clavier boutons que piano au CNIMA ! |

| The Accordions Worldwide news for the week ending August 13th 1999 included no less than three articles from Toru Katou about accordion events in Japan during August 1999. If one looks at the early years of Accordions Worldwide there were frequent items concerning accordion concerts, contests, and other events in Japan. Japanese Accordion Competitions – Japan Contributed by Toru Katou The Japan Accordion Association (JAA) will hold their 2nd ‘JAA Accordion Contest’ on August 29th at the Yotsuya Ward Citizens' Hall, Tokyo from 10 am. Contestants range in age from 6 to 67 years old, with participants from overseas. Competition judges include Stefan Hussong (Germany), Noboru Emori and Chikaie Yoshida. Guest accordionists include the Director of the JAA, Hideaki Yamaoka. |

 The highly accomplished and versatile US accordionist Guy Klucevsek visits Switzerland this weekend as a guest at the Alpentöne Festival. On Friday August 16th, 10.45pm, Guy Klucevsek performs in concert at the Alpentöne Festival, Altdorf, Switzerland. On Saturday August 17th he leads an all day workshop at this festivalon the topic of ‘Accordion Tribe’ music. Guy will coach the participants in preparing individual parts of several pieces from the ‘Accordion Tribe’ repertoire, which they will then play together.  ‘duistanz’ is a newly founded platform for contemporary dance by choreographers Avi Kaiser and Sergio Antonino, and the project ‘About Sky(s)’ is conceived especially for a very specific part of Duisburg's harbour, the ‘Garten der Erinnerung’.Performances of ‘duistanz’ and ‘About Sky(s)’ take place in Duisburg, in the Ruhr area from August 21st to 25th. Each evening of the performance will have a different theme. Involved will be The Kaiser-Antonino Dance Ensemble, visual artist Wolfram Lakaszus, soprano Janin Roeder, and accordionist Marko Kassl, who will perform music by amongst others Luciano Berio, Gerhard Stäbler, Georg Friedrich Händel, and some of his own compositions.
