  US-based French accordionist Julien Labro releases his new CD ‘A Far Cry’ on October 25th, on Azica Records. This is a collaboration with the world-renowned classical guitarist Jason Vieaux, and is an all-Piazzolla recording featuring some Julien Labro’s arrangements for guitar, bandoneón, with Boston’s exciting chamber orchestra.Included are Piazzolla's ‘Four Seasons in Buenos Aires’, as well as the ‘Double Concerto for Bandoneón, Guitar, & String Orchestra’, and the multi-movement duet ‘Histoire du Tango’. From Gail Wein's liner notes: "It is possible that the classical world wouldn't have tango music on its radar, had it not been for composer and bandoneón player Astor Piazzolla. With his unique combination of backgrounds in western classical music, traditional Argentinean music and jazz, Piazzolla carried tango from dance halls and ballrooms to the concert stage".
