| Vidéo 1: vainqueur, l'orchestre d'accordéons Baltmannsweiler e.V., dirigé par Thomas Bauer interprète West Side Story de Leonard Bernstein. Video 2: troisième, l'orchestre d'accordéons de la Musikschule der Hofer Symphoniker, dirigé par Torsten Petzold interprète Sinfonietta Dramatika de Stevan Divjakovic et Festival Overture de Shostakovich. Les orchestres et groupes d'accordéons de toute l'Europe ont convergé vers la ville tyrolienne d'Innsbrück entre le 5 et le 8 mai pour le 12ème World Music Festival organisé par le Deutscher Harmonika-Verband e.V. (DHV). Organisé tous les trois ans, cet évènement attire quelques-uns des meilleurs orchestres et groupes d'accordéons du monde. Le 9 mai au soir, à 19:30, un concert intitulé “Accordion – The Soulmate”, fut une ouverture grandiose au Buick Theater du Shanghai Grand Theatre complex. Ce concert est important non seulement comme une partie du 33ème China Shanghai Spring International Music Festival mais aussi parce qu'il représente un cadeau spécial offert par la Chinese Accordion Association au World Accordion Day le 6 mai. Ces dernières années, avec la persuasion et les efforts du Prof. Li Cong, Vice- Président de la CIA et Président de l' Accordion Committee of the China Musicians’ Association, l'accordéon a poursuivi son développement sur plusieurs fronts avec des caractéristiques bien chinoises. Interprété conjointement par des professeurs, étudiants et anciens élèves du Music College de la Shanghai Normal University, ce concert était placé sous le thème “Joué avec les mains, exprimé par le coeur”. Il présentait l'art chinois de l'acccordéon sous diverses formes, principes et pratiques, en solo, musiques de chambre et ensemble et dans des styles variés comme le folklore chinois, la tango et le jazz. Nous espèrons que ce présent au World Accordion Day constituera un pont de communication axé sur “Joué avec les mains, exprimé par le coeur” entre le accordéonistes chinois et ceux du monde entier et apportera dans le même temps encore plus de belle musique pour l'accordéon à ses amoureux. Direction artistique du concert : Li Cong, Wang Congyu, Zhang Guoping et Shi Xuan.  The Kramfors Music Awards is the Oscars of the "High Coast" region of Sweden and every second year, they present special prizes and awards for musicians, artists, composers, groups, who have put this region of Sweden on the national and international music map.Jörgen Sundeqvist received the Classical Artist of the Year Award recognizing the excellence of his performance and its contribution to the great success of Fredrik Högberg´s "The Accordion King", a multi media Concerto for Accordion and Orchestra. Jörgen Sundeqvist performed the World Premiere of the "The Accordion King", 22nd and 23rd January 2015, the review of the concert saying: "It was an unforgettable musical evening for the audience at Kramfors People's Park. Fredrik Högberg and Jorgen Sundeqvist, backed by the Nordic Chamber Orchestra, brings together in a masterly way the past with the present, and points forward to the future."  Accordion virtuoso, veteran instructor, and West Coast pioneer of the electronic accordion, Lou Jacklich, has been selected to be the Honorary Director of the 2016 Cotati Accordion Festival (CAF). Mr. Jacklich’s outstanding full-time career as an accordionist spans over 70 years…and still counting! The considerable history of Lou including an eTracks mp3 album is online at: Lou Jacklich The 26th annual Cotati Accordion Festival will be August 20-21, 2016 at La Plaza Park in Cotati, California. This year’s Festival has a “Western" theme featuring: the Doo-Wah Riders, Debra Peters and the Love Saints and the Vivants. Accordion celebrities Jelena Milojevic, Cory Pesaturo, Michael Bridge, Sourdough Slim, Steve Balich Polka Band, Those Darn Accordions, and a host of others will be performing. A wide variety of regional and musical genera (e.g., Country, French musette, Gypsy jazz, Western, Blues, Cajun, Zydeco, and Latin) are in store. Roberta Cantow will show her new documentary, “Accordion’s Rising.” Sheri Mignano Crawford is organizing the Student Stage again this year. Other surprises are also planned including another wonderful grand finale! |

 The musical academy "Marino da Caramanico" organizes the 15th International Music Competition "Paolo Barrasso" which is open to all musical instruments (including accordion), and to musicians of any age and nationality.The competitions are being held from 12th to 15th May 2016 and the competitions have prizes totaling €13.000.
